Someone’s removed the laughter from Simon Amstell’s comedy show and replaced it with sad music… and now it just looks like the saddest and least motivational self-help speaker.

This is what Colorado’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Park looked like today, one day before Colorado Rapids are due to host Columbus Crew in an MLS Wild Card playoff match.

The owner of an Ohio exotic-animal farm deliberately released his animals then killed himself, Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said Wednesday. The 40-acre farm was home to about 50 big-game animals, including Bengal tigers, lions, cheetahs, wolves, giraffes, camels and grizzly bears. The beasts have turned the area into an open hunting zone as authorities tried to deal with the situation At least one tiger was killed near a highway, and officials have had to use sidearms to confront some of the animals.

I don't like to think about the future. I get too wound up.
You get a knot in your stomach when you think about it. That vague feeling that things aren't going to work out in that department. That little voice that says "you're too busy to worry about that right now. Forget it." But the feeling lingers.
And suddenly it's gone.

King Krule - The Noose of Jah City
Last time we were talking about Archy Marshall he was known as Zoo Kid, and he was only 16. Well he’s most likely at least 17 now, and going by a new moniker: King Krule. Though, no less impressive are his sounds now that he’s all grown up. This new single off his upcoming self-titled EP King Krule is as mature and somehow simple. A simultanious complexion and naiveté.
The new EP is out November 8th on True Panther.

Wish I had more to say about this band, but efforts to dig up information proved fruitless. Details anyone?
Recording to tape has some distinct disadvantages. There's the hiss, and the distortion, and you pretty much have to nail the sound you want in one take. Sure, you can always re-record over what you've got, but that feels like cheating. I wonder what our radio waves sound like in space. Are they the galactic equivalent of the humble cassette tape?
The Bleed Whites
Remember The Mean Faced Boy? Mr. James Lee was kind enough to send me a link to his latest collaboration: The Bleed Whites.
I've been sitting on this album for a couple of weeks and can confidently say that it's a sweet little collection of tunes. Go check it out.
