We are under a #stayathomeorder now in Viriginia, but I’m fortunate to be close to a few parks and that means I can still string together a decent off-road route. 6.5 miles total and at least 5.5 of them were on gravel trails or single track in both #mantuava and #danielsrunpark. It's the prime time of year for frogs. You often hear them in the trees and stream banks at night, but don't often get to see them in the daytime. Haven’t posted in a couple of days. Haven’t run in a few days either. My knee acted up after Saturday’s run - not the area that was operated on, but lower and on the inside and also on the back of the knee. It got really sore and stiff, so I decided to just shut it down for a few days. I’m still resting it but it’s feeling a lot better now. Wearing a knee sleeve helps. So I think I’ll try a run tomorrow. Meanwhile, @finnmcshane had nice walk at #danielsrunpark. Now back to the workday, and then it’s off to coach @lewislancersxctf distance runners at this evening’s meet. It was chilly and that apparently meant a lot of runners stayed in bed this morning rather than coming out for the #saturdaybaserun at #lifetimefairfax. But whether it’s one or 21, the show must go on, so out I went for easy trails at #danielsrunpark. Despite the 25° chill it was actually quite nice out. After a hard workout last night and work travel earlier this week, I badly needed some easy #recoveryrun miles and I got that, working the park’s single track trails that are off the main wide gravel path. Nothing like some morning trails for #christmas2016. I ran around #danielsrunpark exploring lots of little single track side trails and baptized my new @altrarunning Lone Peaks. And of course I had to wear some holiday socks.
