Winter Running from the Inside Out
A simple summary on running outdoors vs. indoors in the winter. I always advise my clients to do a mix of both and this article agrees. For example, if you’ve got a workout on tap such as as intervals where you need to hit a certain pace, but the roads, trails or track outdoors are icy, taking it inside is your best bet. On the other hand, an easy run outside in challenging conditions can be a good workout, too, challenging different lower body muscles than usual. Just make sure you are prepared with the right gear and shoes!
