"Papers and case files filled the tiny room; Scott had been ever so gracious in allowing him to have that little room of his apartment to store all of their files and recorded cases. He'd even bought Danny a shelf to store all the tapes, each one labeled with the case number, the year, and the general genre. They were grouped on the shelf by genre too; ghosts and monsters and the tiny section labeled, 'Regular Freaky People Shit.' Danny sat down amid the piles and piles of papers and cassettes; his leg ached, but he couldn't be bothered to reach for his cane, propped against the desk on the far side of the room.
