Ooo I haven't heard of Danny Phantom in YEARS maybe for the sentence starter could we get 11. “Why are you so nervous all of the sudden?” with lee!Danny and ler!Valerie?

Prompt 11 - "Why are you so nervous all of the sudden?"

A/N: Ahhh used to love this show. Just watched a recap on youtube and ended up on the wiki page looking up the Fenton Tower floorplans lol for this little drabble. Love it. Hope you enjoy!

Shifting back to his human form, Danny breathed a sigh of relief in his living room. He wasn’t too late for his plans with Valerie. He hadn’t expected the box ghost to put up so much trouble before being captured, and the hour was cutting close. He glanced at the clock, shoot, actually, he was 4 minutes late. He grabbed for the door handle and stepped out into the hall quickly. Right into Valerie’s closed hand that was raised to knock. She smacked it right into his chest.

“Oh! Hey, Danny!” She pulled back with a grin.

“Ah!” He jumped. “Hey! Val! Valerie! Val my pal! You’re in my house..” He observed. “What’s- what’s up?”

“Yeah… your mom let me in, said you were up in your room so I figured I would....” She looked at him skeptically. “Why are you so nervous all of the sudden?” 

“Wha- nervous? W-Who’s nervous?” He stuttered nervously before faking a casual smile. He stepped around her and started down the stairs to the living room.

Valerie followed, taking his wrist at the bottom of the stairs. She squinted her eyes, giving him a slow once-over. “Are you…?”

Danny maintained what he hoped was a casual smile. A bead of sweat dripped slowly down from his hairline. 

“...Ticklish or something?” Valerie asked, smirking at him as she prodded into his stomach. 

Taken aback, but relieved that she wasn’t onto his real secret, he squirmed backwards with a surprised giggle. “Shoot– wait! Ah- no no nohohohoho!” 

“What do you mean no? It definitely seems like you’re ticklish, Fenton.” She teased. “Do you need more evidence?” 

Stumbling sideways onto the couch, Danny laughed even louder, allowing himself to give in a bit as he struggled underneath the prodding and wiggling fingers of his friend, maybe soon…girlfriend? Valerie followed him down, climbing halfway into his lap before she even realized what she was doing. It was nice to see him smile.

It’s more of spongebob being the biggest tickle monster to them-.. but they’ll get their fun one day, trust

I like to think that Jimmy believes that because he’s so smart, he’s obviously has to be mature, and not need silly childish things.. (which is a fat ass lie, he’s 11… and i think the movie also proved that wrong with how i feel like be literally cried that his parents weren’t coming back if i remember correctly-..)
