she might've been toxic

she might've been manipulative

she might've been a murderer

she might've screwed matt over multiple times

she might've ruined matt's life

but she's probably one of (if not the) best characters in the daredevil series and i'd give up any and all characters just to have one more second of elektra

i think her character is really REALLY complex and that's what's enticing about her... she's this woman who's aware of all the hurt she's caused and she just gives in to this idea of being a bad person without a single excuse, she's aware she's not a good person and still, for all the hurt she's caused and all the evil that surrounds her, when given the chance she will protect matt every single time. so while she pushes matt to embrace his darkest side, matt pushes her to embrace her good side and her kindness.

as much as she just accepts that she's a bad person and that she's hurt a lot of people, she's also got goodness and kindness in her that she just refuses to see it's there, not because she looks down on it but because she really believes she's that bad (or at the very least, beyond salvation)

i think she and matt are a reflection of each other in that sense, while being the opposite with him being mostly "good" but still believing he's bad and beyond salvation, and still when they're together they start sort of "absorbing" each other, matt becomes darker and elektra better. they're pretty much a yin yang.

her being a character with so many sides and so beautifully unpredictable, makes me want to watch season two and the defenders time and time again

I’m cracking up about the idea that a bunch of kids in hell kitchen started making murals with spray paint for Daredevil after he ‘died’ and Jessica, Luke and Danny has to tell these kids straight faces that Daredevil would have loved them if he ‘saw’ them.

TW: AMNESIA

Imagine this:

one night matt was out in patrol and got his head hit so bad he woke up with (temporary) amnesia the next morning (he still won the fight of course).

so matt wakes up and he's just lying in bed when he realises that by the sun (he can tell about what time is it by how the sun feels in his skin) that he's probably late for class and starts panicking because:

a) where is he?

b) he's late for class

c) he can't miss too many classes after almost flunking out of college

d) where even is he?

e) where's foggy?

f) where's his phone? he can feel some kind of electronic thing but he needs his phone with the keyboard and stuff

g) seriously, where is he?

Meanwhile, foggy and karen are getting worried because matt is late even by matt's standard so they decided to go to matt's apartment just to check in on him.

so they go and open the door with one of their spare keys, matt's hearing all of this from the bedroom and he's now panicking because the homeowner is here but also he's relieved because the homeowner is here and now he'll finally get some answers.

so matt gets up in his boxers and just cautiously walks to what seems to be the living room and realises a guy who smells and overall feels like foggy (but with something different) and a woman are right in front of him.

long story short, foggy's confused but plays along and tells a white lie "matt, the professor sent an email last night saying that today's class is cancelled, didn't you check your email?" to get matt to stay there and he calls claire to check on him and claire tells them it's just temporary amnesia he'll recover pretty soon.

at this point karen and foggy are relieved that he's overall okay and he'll be back to normal soon so after talking it over they decide to tell matt pretty much everything and then have some fun because by the time karen met matt, he was a lot more serious so karen not knowing goofy college/law school matt felt like a crime.

the conversation with matt went well, he believed them or at least acted like he believed them after they showed him so proof, eventually they just ended up talking about whatever when foggy just freezes and turns to matt "i need you to answer a question" "sure" "but like really answer it, you have to tell me the truth" "okay...?" "all those times we went out drinking... did you really do those handstands or did i hallucinate?" karen bursts out laughing and matt has a hint of a smirk on his face as he says "well i couldn't possibly do that, i'm blind remember?" which just sends chills through foggy's spine because that's exactly the answer matt's been giving him for the last 10 years or so.

also, because they didn't mention matt and karen dated at some point matt started hitting on karen "are you flirting with me, murdock?" "yeah, although if you had to ask i guess i'm not doing a really good job at it" that's when karen and foggy looked at each other and started laughing like maniacs, once they recovered and were able to breath normally again they broke the news to him "you already dated her for a bit buddy, a couple of years ago, which you totally blew up by the way" "yeah, there's no way i'll fall for that again, sorry matt" (which is kind of a lie because in her opinion if "normal" matt is easy to fall for then this version of matt is just irresistible, a lot more open and goofy and a lot less likely to push you out of his life).

matt getting a cat and forgetting to tell karen and foggy that he has a cat now (found him near a dumpster), and when they notice the cat hair in his clothes they think he started dating someone who has a cat and they're waiting for him to tell them until they go to his apartment one day and when they're about to open the door they hear him talking to someone

"get off the counter"

"..."

"stop looking at me like that"

"..."

"don't give me the puppy eyes, you're not a dog"

"..."

"stop that, i might be blind but i still know"

"..."

"fine, just stay away from the food, little asshole"

they come in, see the cat and just aske "who's cat is that?" and that's when matt realises he forgot to tell them

daredevil but nelson murdock & page opened a tiktok account to promote themselves (karen thought it'd be fun and foggy is trying to get paying clients, matt is a bit reluctant but at the end of the day they need to pay the bills)

their most viewed videos include (but are not limited to):

- justice is blind but so is matt (cue the law and order sound + the info to get in contact with nm&p)

- the kung fu fighting trend but it's foggy and karen doing it and matt is just sitting there kinda confused (caption includes something about "we do the legal kung fu")

- a day in matt's life, recorded by matt and all three of them did the voice over (it's hilarious for obvious reasons)
