The third annual Danny Barker Banjo and Guitar Festival kicks off tomorrow afternoon, with a concert featuring Crescent City trumpeter and vocalist Greg Stafford – whom Barker mentored in the Fairview Baptist Church Band. Stafford will lead an all-star, 8-piece jazz band and will also talk about Danny Barker’s life and legacy. Tomorrow’s event will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the New Orleans Jazz Museum (third floor of the Old U.S. Mint). The event is free and open to the public.
