I just started watching season 4. And I know that it will soon be over between Mindy and Danny and I don't want any spoilers because I will catch up with season 6 in like two days :D But besides that Danny became an ass and I know that he will be back. So do you think.. Will they get back together? What are your predictions for the finale?

Belasted rant about the Mindy Project season finale

I need season 4 ASAP! I really liked the season finale, and I really liked that we got to see how deep Danny’s fear goes.. He is so scared of losing Mindy and he believes that by marrying her she will grow to resent him and he knows that he won’t survive Mindy breaking his heart. There will be no recovering from that… Maybe because Mindy is the first person he genuinely has let into his heart besides his mother, the first person who really understands and accept him for who he is and that scares him. It’s the same reason for him breaking up with her in season 2, because he knew that if he let her in he wouldn’t recover if they didn’t work out, but what he didn’t realise was that she was already in. And because of his past encounters with marriage he doesn’t know that a marriage can be happy or successful, he genuinely believes that all marriages fail and ends up with both parties despising each other and he doesn’t want that with Mindy. He knows that he won’t ever be able to hate Mindy but he doesn’t believe in himself enough to believe that Mindy won’t ever leave him or hate him. Because all his life, the people that he loved left him. He doesn’t know anything else. He is used to people leaving him. His dad. Christina. Even his Ma and Richie in some way.

But I think that after his talk with his mother he might actually believe that a marriage with Mindy could be happy and successful. And I think that he travelled to India to ask her parents permission to marry Mindy. Because he said that he didn’t want to meet her parents because he was afraid of them asking why they weren’t married. And I think that that might be one of the reasons why he travelled across the world to see them (and without telling Mindy) …
