Alright, normally I just observe quietly but right now I have a thing or two to say about the matter.

I refuse to believe Dan didn’t know what he was implying when he made the joke, however I can’t and I won’t blame him for getting defensive considering the responses he got. 

He worked hard to make a heartfelt video about being true to oneself and added a few jokes on which the people focused on instead of the message of the video. And after seeing the feedback, he felt the need to explain his words, even though he should’ve known by now how his fanbase reacts to these kinds of things.

I am not defending him or his actions because seeing as he isn’t new to all this, he could have handled everything different. Or even better, ignore the whole situation. 

I think it would be better if we just calmed down as it’s no use debating a problem that will most likely not be addressed again by the source. Whether your opinion is different or you simply cannot stand Dan’s actions, that is up to you.
