Technically these pictures were taken about two weeks ago but I finally found some time to update here! This was from when I was working on a presentation on the rhetoric of Darwin’s “Origin”. It was all very exciting because I’ve always found Darwin fascinating, so getting the opportunity to dive specifically into his rhetorical genius (if I dare say so myself) was fun… and stressful because I once again managed to procrastinate for far too long. Not Darwin’s fault though

Do I have a rhetorics exam to study for? Yes!

Have I studied? No.

Instead I ended up working on an essay for Chinese Studies all day long. Listen you all, it’s really interesting. I get to compare the Ancient Chinese “School of Names” (名家 míngjīa) to the Ancient Greek Sophists. If there is one thing to know about me it is that I am equally obsessed with the Sophists as I am with Ancient China. This feels like a reward and not like work, at all.
