Cadeyrn had expected some casualties to come of the war, but he’d never expected to watch his parents die in front of him and see his brothers get taken off by vampires. Luckily for him -- if you could even call it lucky considering the circumstance -- Avery had been there to rescue his sorry ass. Unfortunately it had been too late for the rest of his family, but Cade didn’t blame Avery for that at all. Maybe it was the shock of it all, but everything had just sort of become one big blur of events in the little fae’s mind. Bruises, cuts and even a few deeper wounds littered the fae’s body, but he just sat there quietly, too lost in thoughts of how he could have saved his family.
Someone entering the room made him look up, a small smile appearing on his tear and blood-stained face before he closed his eyes and tipped his head back against the wall, letting out a soft sigh. “You here to patch me up?” He murmured softly.
