Personality:

Dappledrost is first and foremost loyal to PebbleClan. She will fight to the death for her clan, and will see no one break that rule of hers. She is a stickler to the warrior code, and always has been. Dapplefrost also will not stand for betrayal - to the clan or to another cat of any clan. She is not afraid to get into a fight, Another thing that Dapple values is respect. She gives every tom, she-cat, kit, apprentice, warrior, elder the same respect she would want someone else to give to her. In return, she expects them to respect her. She is not afraid to throw respect out the window as soon as one demeaning word is caught by her ears. She treats kits as warriors, because that is what they will someday be. She treats elders as warriors, because that is what they once were. She refuses to give a cat anything less than her respect, no matter how much she may not like them as a cat. Dapple is a rather laid-back she-cat on everything else except these two values. She can have fun, smile, laugh, feel emotions. In fact, she is a very emotional she-cat. She is not afraid to tell you how she feels. She does not like to play games. She is very blunt and straightforward. She is not afraid to tell you how she feels about you if you ask her. She tries to keep her opinions to herself, but if you ask her, then don’t be surprised when she tells you the truth. Dapplefrost values honesty almost as much as she values loyalty. She is a very realistic and down to earth she-cat. You won’t find her daydreaming. She will always be doing something to benefit the clan, even the dirtiest of jobs. She is stingy about whom she trusts, because she is such a logical cat. If you have a reputation as a player, she will not encourage you, but she will be your friend if you so wish it. She is not a mean she-cat, just misunderstood for being one.

Dapplefrost gets her name from two things: her beautiful colored coat, and her soft, if not well concealed, heart. The latter of the two is, indeed, masked by a stoic appearance that is both physical and emotional. In fear of appearing weak and not worthy of her rank amongst her fellow warriors, she puts up a fierce façade. If a tom were to catch her on her own, however, and just happened to get to her, she could become deeply emotional at any moment.

While she is kind, caring, and conscious of others, she is also quite ambitious. Ever since she watched her clan suffer from spreading illness and saw her own sister pass from the lack of herbs, she made it her goal to protect her Clan at all costs. She has, since stepping from the rank of a warrior, worked hard to become the best Medicine Cat she could be.

Dapplefrost what do you think of Stonekit. He seems really diffrent since Bluecloud

We all change with trauma... He is going through a lot for such a little one. But, I think in time he will be just fine. He needs to heal.

BADGERPAW: Dapplefrost, what made you want to become a Medicine Cat? What were your mentors like?

I was very lucky, I think. I happened to be drawn to the Medicine Den; though to be fair, I wasn’t the only one at the time. Maplesong used to follow me too, and we’d both looked through stuff with the guidance of Asphodelfoot, and Hollywhisker so we wouldn’t get into anything poisonous. 

We both had really good memories, and we found it all fascinating but we were never allowed to help. When we got older, Asphodelfoot had an odd dream mentioning a tree leaf... he asked Maplesong if she wanted to learn about herbs, but she wrinked her nose at the idea. She liked plants, but she wanted to fight along side warriors. Hollywhisker asked me if I was interested and I wanted to! I just... felt the need to help in a peaceful manner. Friends and families of mine were all getting ready for a fight with PebbleClan, but I wanted to make sure that I could save them, rather than fight alongside them.

Asphodelfoot, Sunstar’s brother, he was always very skittish. Thin, on edge, and that prophecy of the tree leaf drove him insane... he looked for signs everywhere. It’s why I’m very careful when thinking about the signs I receive; I don’t want to over think them... I don’t want them to consume me. He was wise though, rather tough-love when it came to the cats around us, told plenty while I was in training to leave him be because a small scratch wasn’t a big deal.

Hollywhisker always seemed... distracted. Often she would disappear for most of the den, and return tired with herbs. I always assumed she was gathering all day, but she had an odd scent under the plants she carried. I could never place it, not really. But she was kind, very encouraging of my learning, and was always careful to check on things Asphodelfoot thought would be a waste to.
