Have you heard that Skyrimstagram is all the craze? It’s just not good to use when you’re out on a job. Oops.
I guess you know which questline I’m working on now, hehe.
Inigo shook Dar’sha who rubbed her eyes sleepily. The sun had just begun to rise, but the last few hours seemed like a blur. Where had they gone? What had they done? There was a stillness that spread over the land. “My friend, I had the strangest dream!” Inigo’s eyes were filled with excitement as he recalled a far away land - Sovngarde. “We were in the Nord land of the dead and you defeated Alduin! It was quite an adventure!”
Dar’sha’s pointed at Inigo as a toothy grin spread across her face. “It is true, this one was there, but so were you. We defeated Alduin, together.” Inigo scratched his head in disbelief. “We? We defeated Alduin and saved Skyrim? We did it, we did it!” His words trailed off to a little dance. Dar’sha laughed and sat up, looking at the view of the land and wondered where they would go next. Inigo plopped down next to her and pulled out a bottle of alto wine from his backpack, popping out the cork with his teeth. “To victory?” He started. Dar’sha nodded and grabbed the bottle. “And to friendship.”
I Watched Someone Build a Companion From Scratch
The first thing she typed was not a description of a face. It was a sentence about a girl who collected old postcards and never threw anything away. From there, working through SweetDream's builder on sweetdream.ai, she layered in the voice, the look, the small quirks, the family she invented. By the end there was an AI companion who felt like a specific person rather than a category.
Observing the chat afterward was the convincing part. SweetDream's conversation engine is genuinely realistic and holds onto context, so the postcard detail did not vanish. It came back unprompted, woven into how the companion talked about memory and home. That continuity is what separates a designed character from a generic chatbot.
She tried other names she had read about, candy.ai among them, before settling. Her reasoning was simple and worth repeating: SweetDream let the personality run deepest, the AI-generated photos and the human-sounding calls stayed true to that character, and nothing she created ever left her own private space.
"Sweet Mother, sweet Mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear."
Inigo wasn’t so sure that the two Khajiit should answer the call of a young boy named Aventus Aretino, but Dar’sha eased his mind. What’s the worst that could happen? They would check in on the boy and send him back on his way to the orphanage. Easy right? Dar’sha had many regrets after stepping into that house, but couldn’t let the boy’s pleas fall on deaf ears. Inigo had personal experience with his childhood spent in the orphanage, so despite his reservations, they decided to help. One late evening, the two Khajiit broke into Honorhall and ended Grelod’s reign over the children. Sadly this came at a cost. The next few days were spent looking over their shoulders as a mysterious letter with a bloody hand print arrived.
“We know.”
Exhausted, the two decided to camp in a secluded grove that evening. “This one believes we will be safe here.” Dar’sha pulled her furs around her ears as she fell asleep. They weren’t. During the night, Inigo and Dar’sha were captured and brought to a small abandoned shack which smelled of death. There they met Astrid, and whether they wanted to or not, became involved in a plot larger and more intricate than they ever could have expected. Cold blooded killings, screaming, poisoned vomiting, the smell of blood, and that skull with the red hand print are forever fused into Dar’sha’s mind. After the horrors they experienced within, Inigo and Dar’sha ran as far away as they could and never spoke of what happened within their time with the Dark Brotherhood again.
After their stressful experience with the Dark Brotherhood, the two Khajiit decided to lay low for a bit. They ran small jobs for Delvin Mallory and Vex, and spent the rest of their time pick pocketing around Whiterun. It wasn’t until one late afternoon, after a large picnic of bread, cheese, and wine, that Inigo pointed out a Khajiit the two had never seen before sweeping along the steps to Jorrvaskr.
“This one is called Bikhai.” He said with a nervous grin as he began telling his tale of wanting to join the Companions only to be tasked with cleaning. At first he didn’t ask for anything, except for the two to keep an eye out for a locket he had lost while traveling to the city. They both agreed, and Dar’sha spent the next weeks searching high and low for that necklace until a lead brought her right to it - glinting gold with a picture of a female and child Khajiit inside.
Bikhai was forever grateful. Dar’sha and Inigo caught the eye of Kodlak Whitemane, who prompted them over. “Khajiit would like to prove themselves worthy.” She motioned to the three of them. Bikhai was taken back, but didn’t argue. Kodlak decided to humor her request by giving the three a few difficult tasks to test their “worth” for joining the Companions. Through this, they learned of the power struggle between the group and the Silver Hand. Completely disgusted with the Silver Hand’s hunting of the Companions, they took it upon themselves to become hunters themselves. Donning the wolf pelts the Silver Hand wore, they worked to push back the threat so that the Companions could breathe a little easier.
In the end, the three were considered another of the pack, though there were many sacrifices that had to be made. Even though the halls of Jorrvaskr would never be the same, the time for a new era had begun. Proud of what they accomplished, Dar’sha and Inigo burned their wolf pelts in a pyre and headed out of the city in search of their next mission.
“Watch your coin purse.” Is a common phrase whispered when we’re around.
Dar’sha did much solo mercenary work while Inigo had a past with bandits and thieves. With his time spent in the Riften jail, he met another Khajiit by the name of S’ariq who had ties to the thieves guild. Thinking this would be a great chance to make some significant coin, they traveled there. What they found was a group in shambles. With the help of S’ariq, a high ranking Nord thief named Brynjolf, and a Dunmer woman named Karliah, they worked to unravel a corrupt thread sewn deep into the pockets of the guild.
Treasures and gold septims lined their coin purses and much drink was shared once the notoriety of the thieves guild was restored. Dar’sha and Inigo used their coin to purchase a home in the city known as Honeyside. There they could remain semi-anonymous while still slipping into the sewers to help Brynjolf when he needed anything done.
I hardly ever take a companion when I play Skyrim, but I decided to make an exception for Inigo after starting to watch Grandma Shirley’s Deadeye Gang playthrough. No regrets as he’s absolutely amazing. Here we were prowling through the night to clear out a bandit camp.
I also downloaded Khajiit Will Follow so I decided that for every guild quest I complete, I will take another with me. First will be the College of Winterhold which I plan on making J'zargo archmage of after it’s over. Stay tuned to see more!
Dar’sha and Inigo’s travels brought them to the College of Winterhold. Neither Khajiit were well versed in magic, but were more than willing to help with the issues there. Here they met an apprentice named J’zargo. Together, the three worked hard to return balance to the college. Feeling undeserving of the title of Archmage, Dar’sha bestowed the gift of onto J’zargo. We’re so proud of our mage friend and know he will grow into his new title as well.
It’s been about a year since I finished my last playthrough of Skyrim SE and here we are again! My boyfriend started his first playthrough so it gave me the itch to start with that thief character I wanted to make. This is Dar’sha, my Khajiit thief. She will steal anything that’s not strapped to the floor and also loves sweet rolls.
