I found this journal at TJ Maxx today and it instantly reminded me of Nancy’s international travels. Most of this images represent one of her global travels, so I decided to get it and fill it with travel advice from the games. I will make sure to share with you all what I come up with. This could be interesting.

2. Did you read the books before (or after) you discovered the games?

(Pictured Above: a small sample of my Nancy Drew book collection).

Actually contradicting the above photo, I played the games first. I got into the books when my Grandma randomly bought me one that took place on a cruise ship and had to do with diamonds or something (I could look it up in my collection but I'm lazy). I actually really enjoyed it and ended up getting some of my best friend's sister's old yellow hardcovers at a garage sale and collected them ever since. I had about 18 of the new books before I got sick of them when I was 13. I still love the games though! Maybe I should read some of the old books =)

I miss playing the Nancy Drew games so much. My sister and I would sit for HOURS and play the games one by one. It all started when Nanny bought us the pack of the first 5 games for $20 so many Christmases ago.

Some people look at me weird when I tell them about the games but I'm like "Hey, Nancy Drew is responsible for my puzzle solving skills." But really, every time I have to solve a puzzle or riddle I always come back to thinking about Nancy Drew.

When I get a good sum of money I'm going to start buying the games back one at a time. I have a Mac now and there's only certain games available for the Mac. Wah!
