biography
- hazel grew up as the youngest of the loxley family. they already had four boys, arthur, thomas, john and michael. mike was close to her in age, so they were always very close, but she’s pretty close with all of her family.
- her brothers are also pretty protective, kind of stereotypical. Hazel had a growth spurt but before that she was scrawny and she’s always been a quiet kid so you can’t really blame them.
- her childhood wasn’t really special. she grew up in a small town an hour outside raleigh by car. she had a small group of friends, she had her family, she had everything she could wish for, really.
- however when college came around, she started to look for something that was close enough to home so she’d be able to visit if she wanted to, but far away enough that she could start her own life, outside of a town so small it started to suffocate her. everyone knew everything about you, it seemed. hazel hates that feeling. besides can you blame her with four overprotective brothers? nope
- she chose audeo, and her major became forensic science, to no ones surprise. she’d always been a curious kid. some would say nosy, even. she liked science, she liked to know why things were the way the were. she also loved mysteries. as she got older she got really into true crime. forensic science is basically everything hazel likes most combined.
- the past two years have, again, been pretty uneventful. she goes to a party here or there, she has some friends. she’s never been one to necessarily want any more than that. she already feels blessed by just having a good average life.
- of course that all changed when addie died. hazel was at the party were it happened, and ever since she’s been fascinated - or rather obessed - with the whole thing. especially since the dares started, she’s set her mind on solving the mystery. she always thought addie didn't really notice her, but of course she had noticed addie. turns out addie knew more about hazel than she'd ever thought or wanted.
- hazel has always loved solving other people’s mysteries, but now she’s caught up with one, and she honestly? isn’t mad about it. maybe she likes a more eventful life after all. if only her deepest secrets weren't on te line. rip.

- personality wise, she’s quiet, but observant. she’ll know you by name, she’ll know what colour your socks wore last wednesday. all while you will barely know who she is.
- she genuinely doesn’t want to be creepy. she just doesn’t like being the centre of attention, but like i said she’s very curious. also she just really likes a good funky pair of socks so that’s why she’d focus on that ig.
- she’s a bit of a tomboy, but she has a more feminine side. it’s honestly just what she feels like each day.
- she’s actually pretty bubbly and funny and a bit dramatic when you get to know her. despite her quiet nature, she isn’t shy or reserved in any way, so it’s actually pretty easy to become friends with her.

lalisa manoban, demi girl, she/her & they/them. — you know khun mae win, don’t you? they’re the twenty year old sophomore who’s studying elementary education & art and living in thayer hall. they used to be addie’s bullying target, but now they are feeling relieved that addie wont be around to hurt them anymore, though they feel guilty as well about that.

khun mae is the youngest of three kids. they has an elder sister ( mayuree ) and a twin brother ( sakda ). while her and sakda are twins they can. it’s always playful and they try not to come off as a whiny brat. khun man and their sister are extremely close, as she is only two years older than the twins.
home life was fine as a kid, nothing to report about or worry about. both parents were present and loving, extremely supportive of their children and the varied interests they had. mayuree really loved music and started her talents early in life. sukda became the sports fan of the three and was on nearly every sports team that would have him in middle school and high school. he currently attends the university of michigan as a second string quarter back with a full ride.
khun mae found her passion in art and dance. painting really became her thing, soon spending as much money as was allowed on new supplies. they started winning awards for art and it really made her want to continue this as much as they could into adulthood. while they knew they might not be able to make a living off art all the time, she agreed to go to school for something to fall back on. so she started earning a teaching degree as well as her art degree in order to teach art to others, wanting to perhaps bring the same passion to kids.
her second love had always been dance and they were great at it. able to pick up steps almost instantly and follow through with a new idea until completion, kun mae was a force to recon with on the dance floor.
her life was always easy, her friends said. her siblings and her got on famously, her parents were amazing and not the least bit over bearing- until the accident. the accident was honestly her own doing, she was out late and making horrible decisions. “but what else are teenagers meant to do?” she asks herself, thinking there was no way she’d actually suffer for this.
until she was. her friend had lost control of the car, who shouldn’t have been driving in the first place. while they’d all had some to drink, the group figured he would be the best to drive them home safely from the party. sudka had stayed to close down the party and take his girlfriend of the time home later so khun mae got into the car.
she doesn’t remember much of the accident. the doctors said that wasn’t surprising with the amount of trauma she’d sustained. they were shocked she was conscious at all. days in the hospital turned to weeks turned to months when they learned the extent of what the car had done to her. unable to walk for months, khun mae still struggles on worse days. while most of the time they can walk without aid, they do have crutches as well in case.
they refused to walk the stage at her high school graduation, instead staying in the crowd to cheer on her brother. never once did her smile fade through her struggles, instead she internalized the struggles she faces so that no one else would have to suffer with her.
it took a lot of convincing for khun mae to think about college again, her admitting to mayuree and sakda one day she might not go now because she doesn’t want to be that person who struggles to get around campus now. while they couldn’t help her, they did convince her to try and she enrolled as a full time student.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, riley is a fairly new character of mine so pls bear with me while i get to grips with him! i have this lil pinterest board i made for a bit of an overview
everyone’s maine squeeze (i would say that’s the last of my horrible jokes, but it’s not... i am sorry). riley is from camden, maine!! he’s the son of two b&b owners, astrid and nicholas godwin, and is the second youngest of five children.
he had a pretty normal upbringing. apart from squabbles with his siblings, he was pretty much the golden boy in his parents' eyes, having graduated from high school as valedictorian.
riley is pretty close with both of his parents. they’re both incredibly supportive of him and have given him free rein for most of his life. despite this, he still feels want to make them proud one day.
he was always more into sciences than he was into any other subject at school. in p. the most selfless (but also selfish because $$$) decision he’s made, he decided to study biology at uni with the hope of eventually becoming a general practitioner; he does genuinely want to help people in the future.
he’s the first in his family to go to university. riley really aspires to go on to med school after graduation, so he’s pushing himself extremely hard in terms of studying until then
this does not mean he’s not going to have a good time though! he definitely parties a lot
although riley is very outgoing, he’s definitely someone who won’t willingly come forth with much information about themselves, but rather try to learn more about you. this is what made his friendship with addie so important to him, as they’d share things with one another comfortably.
whether riley wants to learn more about people out of genuine intrigue or for some kind of ammunition in case the relationship sours really remains to be seen? he’s pretty paranoid honestly and doesn’t trust all that easily. it doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll use it against anyone... but let’s just say he’s the person with allllll the receipts at his fingertips when things go wrong sdkfhdskfh
in terms of personality, riley is hardworking, gregarious, protective of those he’s close to, and organised. but as said before he’s also paranoid, judgmental and quite hubristic? like... for anyone who has watched death note (the tv show; i haven’t seen the netflix adaptation so idk if it’s the same jhrehf) essentially like light yagami before he got the notebook

background rundown
soren grew up in a middle class family with an older brother and younger sister in boston where his mom was a bank teller and his dad was a professor at boston u.
he has two nephews and a niece who are all children of his older brother and he rlly loves them more than ANYTHING!
he has a super strained relationship with his father.. he was hardly around when the kids were growing up and he was verbally abusive to everyone in the household besides sorens younger sister.
on the other side he has a great relationship with his mom who loves to paint and always encouraged the kids to pick up something creative as well. her husband didnt agree tho and made her quit in order to focus solely on her job and bein a housewife.
as they got older the fights started becoming worse and worse until they finally decided to divorce when soren was fifteen. by that point tho everything that his father said was ingrained in his head so he continued livin his life tryna please him.
he was def more interested in art like his mother but he pushed that desire aside to excel in athletics instead. he was really into hockey and soccer in particular so he became the best he could at both of them until he graduated and was offered numerous sports scholarships.
thats how he ended up at audeo university majoring in kinesiology which is the study of the mechanics of body movements.
its also where he fully started his life of partying, drugs, alcohol, and sex using all of them as coping mechanisms to fill the void.
hes the type of person who loves affection, loves bein the center of attention, and thats a recipe for disaster especially when it comes to actual committed relationships.

minki was born in yongsan, south korea, and was the youngest of four siblings. the pregnancy was a surprise to his parents, and it was something they deeply regretted, seeing as they barely had enough money to keep up the family they already had.
they tried to keep him for five years before realizing it just wasn’t financially possible without having a terrible life ahead of them. they couldn’t keep minki up to health, unable to feed the whole family most days. his parents were desperate and clueless. the only thing they could think to do was put him up for adoption.
minki was still far too young to understand anything, thinking for at least a year that he’d see his parents again, and the center was just a strange vacation. eventually, a couple from america decided to adopt him.onl
at the age of seven, he was moving to america. it was VERY stressful for him bc... he couldn’t speak english and it was an entirely different culture he was being thrown into. luckily his adoptive parents hired someone to teach him english, but he struggled a lot for his first couple of years trying to keep up with everyone.
it got worse when he started actual school. he got rly miserable and didn’t like how behind he felt, and it made him rly secluded in school/unwilling to socialize with other kids.
that worsened as he got older and started to fully realize what had happened with his parents, and that he was the only child put up for adoption. he had an entire family in south korea, living a life without him, and that really messed with him more than anything else. it was when he decided that family does not mean unconditional love, and he started to question if love was real at all to begin with.
it made him VERY emotionally detached, and as much as his parents attempted to bond with him, he wouldn’t have it. they tried to pay for his love through money and he... never told them NO bc... $$$$

his relationship with addie was: ex friends. the two got along decently, but there was a party... and honestly, minki doesn’t remember all of it, but he knew that it ended in him being pissed off at addie, and the two stopped talking. he DID NOT like her at ALL after that, and so he’s not too bothered by her death.
fun facts: he loves scary movies, butterflies, and can rant abt people driving horribly for at least an hour. he’ll get sweaty over it and everything,,, relax, minki!!!
