i feel like as a collective we deserve more finnick and darius interactions

those two would be such a hilarious and powerful duo
both flirty cocky but genuinely good dudes. the choas would be great! such an endearing headache for katniss
Mockingjay Haymitch Reread, Chapter 14
"Weve nicknamed the mountain the Nut, since I relayed Plutarch's 'tough nut to crack' comment..." I imagine Plutarch giggling to himself because he got the "pure" teenager to make unintentional testical puns.
I don't know anything about mountains. I'm from the East Coast of the US (District 13 area, but thankfully the flooded part) and I'm aware that the Rocky Mountains are a lot of mountains. But is there any way to identify the "nut"? Any that specifically had a lot of mining and infastructure? That the Capitol was able to reinforce.
I've just been curious about estimating real world locations in panem since that YT video that made a strong case that the Capitol was Salt Lake City, Utah. And the lack of religion might be because the Apocalypse Did Come but wasn't as prophecized causing the people to lose faith, and turn to science and manipulating genetics.
District 2 is supposed to be "directly South" of the Capitol. The wiki says in Colorado and New Mexico, but "directly south" of SLC is more like Arizona and lower Utah?
Katniss is angsting about Peeta. She thinks about his warmth with "unexpected heat" behind it (eyebrow waggle). I mean... warmth should have heat behind it so I think she means something else by "heat."
Haymitch and Plutarch both give her updates on Peeta's condition. Plutarch's are very cheery, Haymitch less so. But Prim has had an idea. A hope. And Peeta represents hope, and Prim is the one bringing him back, and getting him to ask about the goat, Lady. This feels important to me. That Prim insists Peeta is still in here. That she is coming up with ideas (better ideas than 13's doctors) to help, and generally getting him through the worst of it. It makes me think that by becoming a medic, Prim might actually have been the sister who sacrificed herself so Katniss could have a life.
It's been two weeks. Katniss likes District 2 better than 13. They invite her to the meetings. It feels "freer." I'm going to go ahead and say this is because Commander Lyme is far superior to President Coin. She's a victor, a soldier and she's played by Gwendoline Christie, so she must be cool.
There's a lot of stuff with Gale. But mostly I feel sad because he talks about Darius and Darius died so horribly. And also a lot more people are going to die horribling in the mountain.
Where is Darius from?
The Capitol
District 2
Other (explain!)
I'm doing a poll because the books don't tell us. I am of two minds about it. I feel like people from the Capitol are made Avoxes, and people from the Districts are just killed. But I am not sure if he is a special case just to upset Katniss.
But I also think the fact that his name is from the Persian Emperor and not a Roman name suggests he's NOT from the Capitol.
Thoughts?
