There’s a level of immaturity in the fact Gale that he didn’t realize he had feelings for Katniss until Darius said something.

He didn’t say or do anything for months.

In fact he didn’t say anything, until after Katniss returned from the Games. (To be fair I think he was at the Justice Building in THG.)

And it’s not until Katniss is in a (fake) relationship with Peeta that he kisses her/ tells her how he feels.

Oh brother, don’t get me started on his reaction to seeing Katniss and Finnick speaking in D13.

IMO Gale only wants Katniss when he thinks someone else wants her.

It comes off as possessive and dismissive of Katniss’s feelings.

There aren’t nearly enough Hunger Games characters reading the future fics, but one I’ve never seen is only the side characters reading the books. Imagine the possibilities:

The books do something to keep them from spilling their knowledge

Additionaly, some things like the reapings and winners of the 74th games could be predetermined

Darius gives Katniss better trades and comes up with some excuse to teach her peacekeeper skills

The wrestling club gets more intense training so Peeta’s skills improve as well

Effie becomes more bearable and Haymitch has no idea why

All the 74th Hunger Games tributes take out a ton of tesserae much to their families’ horror because why not?

Bonnie smuggling extra peacekeeper clothes to make a pair specifically for Twill

Citizens of 12 start venturing out in the woods to practice their survival skills.

Any other ideas?

those two would be such a hilarious and powerful duo

both flirty cocky but genuinely good dudes. the choas would be great! such an endearing headache for katniss
