Howard (1906 - 1936) has been one of my favourite authors for over forty years. Longer than he lived. Amount he created in his thirty years is amazing.  Conan The Barbarian is best known of these, but all are worth reading.

Pulptober 2024: 10 - Dark Agnes de Chastillon

I'll just continue looking up the ones I don't know yet, this is always such a good learning opportunity.

Dark Agnes is a character created by Robert E. Howard (the creator of Conan the Barbarian), who wrote three stories with her, but they weren't published until almost forty years after his death.

The story is set in fictional 16th century France, where the character of Agnes barely escapes an arranged marriage, and runs away to become a sword woman.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a version of this book that is currently in print, and the Internet Archive is offline at the moment, so I can't check whether it is on there.
