I had a dream last night about meeting Shadar (Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch).

What happened was I manage to infiltrate his castle, Nevermore, and explored other rooms that weren’t in the game. I came across this, like, small foyer room with a large square hole in the ground, and of course I looked at what was down there. Initially I thought Shadar was not in the castle, but I was corrected when I saw the hole lead straight down to the throne room, where he was just sitting, with his shadowed head resting on his left hand.

Scrambling away from the hole, I was like, “Oh shit, he’s actually here! Oh fuck; I’m screwed!” But then I immediately switched and just said, “Fuck it, I’m going down there, and I know EXACTLY what I’m gonna say!”

And in that brilliant moment I leapt from the hole, fell, and landed on my feet, in the very middle of his throne room, with him obviously noticing me because he lifted his head up, I excitedly said The Line:

“Hello there!”

Half a second passes with silence and I state, “Aight, I’m gonna leave now; bye!” And just booked it through the main entrance XD Of course he pursued me and tried to capture me, to which he succeeded, but guys. I memed him. And he didn’t even know it.

The longer I play this remaster, the more I’m realizing I think I adore/love Shadar???

I guess it is true the older a female becomes, the more attracted to older guys she is

Plus he needs a hug. A very. Big. Warm. Hug. It won’t do anything, but he still needs one.

After learning the 'truth' about the Dark Djinn...

...Walls were hit and tears were spilled.

WHY? Whyyyy? Lucien, you magnificent bastard youuuuuuu!

After calming myself down, I wiped away the last of my tears and consoled myself that it's for the best.

THEN Lucien and Alicia's dialouge  came up...

...and the tears started again. But seriously, I loved how Ni no Kuni played out the tale of the Dark Djinn who wanted to protect the world and the woman who saved him from his despair.
