The sea rocked the Thousand Sunny with its gentle breeze - the sun shone brightly over all the residents of the surface , spreading its warmth over the reflecting salt water.
Somewhere in the Thousand Sunny, crossing many doors, deep and dim lights ruminating and the pictures of the crew smiling decorating the walls,inside hums that came from the only room gleaming.
The water splashed everywhere as you dumped another of fresh water over your head. The reflection of your eyes disappearing with the water.
You took a deep breath before pouring another bucket.
Relief latched with every mutter that left your mouth. Your body moved slow, like moving too fast was going to get you punished. The ticking of the clock got your attention, you glanced upwards.
It was nearing noon.
Your body stopped in its tracks, panic overtook you. But still - you took a deep breath - you could do this - you told yourself over and over again - you'd been through this so many times. No one needed to see you scared, especially not him.
What people didn't know, wouldn't hurt them.
‘Though-’ you thought, glancing at the window, ‘He probably already knows.’ Your hand tightened into a fist. His observation haki was no joke.
Your brother wasn't known as the monster rookie pirate for nothing.
You got out of the tub and wrapped a towel around your body, ramping through the basket to get your clothes. Where the hell did nami put them!
“What , you looking for Y/n? Is it meat?”
You jumped taking a step back. Your heart beat increased - how the hell had he gotten so close without you noticing? Were you that dazed?
You held your towel tighter before you wobbled out his name with a smile you knew looked forced. “ Aniki- What brings you here?”
Luffy tilted his head sideways making you flinch. “Are you still mad at me?” he asked,without missing a beat. You caught his annoyance latched tone easily. You're damned if you're not smiling and damned if you are.
Your eyes twitched, you hoped that your non- existing smile was still there. “ What brought that on? How could I be mad at you?”
“ Nami and Robin said you were. Even Sanji called me an idiot for being a bit mean.”
That was an understatement.
You were terrified, no you were fuming, but you held it in. Gulping down your fear and the bitter aftertaste of betrayal from all those you loved dear. They all knew, your brother knew but he still went and did it.
“--I am..not.” you were.
He frowned, taking a step closer only for you to take another step back. “ You're lying.”
“ No.” Yes
“ Why?”
“ I'm not lying.” Your body was searing. You wanted to vomit.
“ You are mad.”
“ No.”
He took another step, you backed again.
“ Tell me.” another step
“ Shut up.” You pulled back further. You had to stay strong and not panic. You could not let him see you weak, he was an imposter. A lier.
“Did I do something wrong?”
You trembled, putting another step between you two. “ You did nothing-I already told you-” He knew what you did.
He brows furrowed, “ If you don't tell me I won't know..” he had you trapped against the wall.
“ Luffy there is nothing-” you needed to get the hell out before you started to hyperventilate.
Even if the man in front of you looked at you like your brother did , concern did not suit the man who murdered your lover in cold blood.
He didn't even flinch when he tore his heart out. Then he had thrown the still warm beating heart into the dump.
You didn't even get to mourn him before your hand was grabbed and he dragged you back to the ship.
You had screamed in his face, asking why he did that. He always greeted you with a cold blank face that he reserved for only the filthiest trash of the sea, only to go back to a goofy smile when any of the crew or others were around.
None of the crew believed it when you told them about it. Some listen with a smile, while others glancing at you with looks of pitch, believing you probably dreamed it up or were angry with Luffy.
“-You might be hallucinating because of a drug- or maybe a DeVil Fruit!? Robinnn we need to make a detour to the next island quick-”
“-Luffy acts like a child, I know he's bad but even he isn't that cruel-”
“- It's SUPER time to eat- Sis it was probably a bad dream.”
“-Luffy-san isn't like that-”
“- Y/n-chan that idiot captain probably did something to make you mad. But you shouldn't accuse him-”
“- You should take some time off-”
“- she's acting crazy-”
“-Nami-san my best you should calm down-”
“ -of course I'm concerned! Luffy is hurt!-”
“- All of you step down-”
You still had a little hope, so you told Gramps and even Koby when you coincidentally crossed paths on one for the islands. Seas were laughing at your foolishness.
“ All the pirating is affecting your mind, this is why I told you brats to be Marines!” Garp had said munching up another batch of rice crackers.
Koby had rubbed his hand at the back of his hair laughing nervously, giving you a troubled expression. “ Are you sure you saw luffy-san?” He added, “ It doesn't sound like him.” He mumbled glancing sideways.
You had walked out the Marine headquarters aching.
It had been months of living with a pirate with your brother's skin. You had made your peace and resorted to ignoring him instead. Almost.
Then he had the audacity to act like you were both close again. Like you were both still siblings.
You glared at him.
“Ace and sabo always told us to sort out our feelings or something,” he added. Yeah right, hypocrites.
Ace and Sabo didn't believe you either.
They didn't need to.
Luffy, “ Please just leave me alone!” He was a monster playing the role of your brother.
You were so scared, petrified, your mind was barely holding it together - then he said your name like your kind brother did - the one that didn't murder the one you cherished,
“ Y/n.”
“ Shut up!” You snapped. Holding your hand over your face while the other held onto the towel for its dear life. Tears fell down as you fell to your knees crying.
“ I hate you! I hate you so much!-”
“- You ruined my life- you killed him! You took him from me- How can you still act like this-” his arms engrossed you in a hug, cradling you safely like he was protecting you.
But who was going to protect you from him?
“ Y/n-”
“ Leave-”

" LEAVE"
“ Y/N, look into my eyes.” He grabbed your shoulders and made you stare right into his jet black eyes. Despite his voice there wasn't a hint of emotion in his eyes.
You froze, and at that very moment something pierced your neck, your eyes flicked horrified to the injection singling in his hand.
“ n-no…o” the darkness welcomed you before another word could leave your mouth. You collapsed in Luffy's arm as he held you in princess carry.
The towel remained dimpled over your skin, he walked out to be greeted by his two hands.
“ Did you give her the dose?”
“ Of course he did Mosehead.”
Luffy nodded, a bright smile overtaking him. “ Yep! She's finally letting me hug her again like before!”
San Jose signed, taking a breath of his cigarette, “ Why did you think she didn't let you be near her. You killed that stupid prick of hers.”
Luffy pouted, “ Sanji, no fair.”
Zoro ruffled Luffy's forehead, “ No the cook is right. You can't keep messing with her mind again and again, there's only so much Chopper can do.”
“ Exactly.” Sanji said, glancing at your motionless form. “ All of us know how much you love to terrify her, this was the sixth time this year luffy - she can't handle more.”
They both made eye contact before looking at their captain who had gone silent. Darkness shadowed his face. . . .
Luffy grinned, walking ahead, “ Fineee but no promises.”

Elsewhere, a black and yellow head sat at a bar, drinking and eating, Ace gulped down another piece of big meat when Sabo called him.
“ Ace, I got a letter from Lu!”
Ace glanced back at him, “ Hmm, what the little snort got?”
Sabo grinned, “ Lots of cute pictures of our adorable sister.”
Ace hand to take one when Sabo pulled it away, “ Finders keepers~” he said before running out.
“ Sabo you little-”

ℍ𝕚 guys! I'm kinda back, not fully though ! I shared this premise in one of my post and some lovely folks if you liked it, so here it is!
I was spiraling down badly due to my finals ongoing and not writing anything, feeling like I was losing my will to write things and this is my test run. Maybe it's not amazing but I'm satisfied and thats all that matters !:-)
