“So you want me to basically be your substitute?”
Namjoon eyed his friend as he ate from the bowl of ramen in front of him. One of his old high school friends, Brandon, stopped by his apartment out of the blue. And of course, Namjoon was embarrassed, the place looked like a dump.
Which is exactly what it was.
A dump.
“Yeah, listen I know you're smart. And I know you need the pay.” Brandon said taking a bite out of his ramen. He used his chopstick to point at Namjoon. “Also I trust you man.”
Namjoon groaned out leaning back into his couch. “Trust me? With what? Don't tell me you got roped into something fucked up.”Namjoon complained. Brandon had that look in his eyes, Namjoon could tell when he was being shifty.
“So maybe I've kind of got something going with the girl, she's sweet, super sheltered, like the perfect girl,” Brandon says leaning back long with Namjoon. “I plan on asking her out when I'm back okay? I just need you to be so you man. All scholarly and shit.”
Namjoon thought about it for a minute. “How's the pay?”
“Around 500 a session. Trust me her family has the money to blow. They want the best and they trust me to have good recommendations. Also, the mom is a bit of an airhead anyway.”
“Fine, you're lucky I need to make rent.”
📖
You sat in your room bored out of your mind. Your mother told you that Brandon had found someone to continue your studies while he was away. You knew your mom was probably annoying the poor man downstairs. She had a habit of talking too much.
Curiosity got the better of you as you found yourself heading downstairs to your lavish mansion kitchen. You sat on the stairs, peering through the railing.
Your new tutor was handsome, slightly built with a buzz cut. He reminded you of men you see in movies, rich CEOs who would fall for their secretaries. Or even a dangerous boxer who has a soft spot for the ballerina.
Lost in your trance, your mom spotted you. “Oh! Sweetheart come down, Mr. Kim here would like to meet you.” You curse under your breath as you stand up and walk the rest of the way downstairs. Almost tripping as your socks slipped on the hardwood floor. You catch yourself walking over to the side of the island.
Mr. Kim looked at you for a moment before smiling. “Please call me Namjoon, Mr. Kim makes me sound old.” He said extending a hand. You take it and give him a slightly firm handshake.
“She'll call you Mr.Kim, respect always remember sweetheart?” Your mom cooed passing you a bowl of pomegranate seeds. You nod towards her as she smiles. “Okay now go study, Mr. Kim is a very smart man by the sound of it. If you need anything call me upstairs.”
You were already walking upstairs with Namjoon following close behind. You led him into your bedroom and sat down at your desk. You pull out the notebook that you and Brandon used. “Sorry if my mom was annoying you, she's ditzy like that.” You mumbled going to the practice test you were doing before Brandon left last session.
Snap!
You jump at Namjoons snapping right in front of your face. “I want you to focus. From what you're mother is telling me she wants you to pass with Korean as a foreign Language for college next semester correct?” You nod at Namjoon. You focus back in on the practice test.
It was a particular problem you stared at, and it was something you couldn't figure out. You were about to circle A but you were stopped by Namjoon grabbing your wrist. “Are you certain that's the answer?” He asks leaning next to you. You shake your head, no, your breathing rising in speed as his hand holds your own in place. “Then why are you answering it?”
“Because it's the next question?” You say your voice peeking as you finish the statement. It comes out like a question and more so it comes out as you being rude to him. You shake your head looking up at him. “Sorry… I mean… it's true I just didn't want you to take it as me being rude to you.”
“Focus.” He reprimands. “Look at the question and think again.” Namjoon let's go of your wrist and you reconsider the answer. It's D. The answer is D. You circle it and look back at Namjoon expecting a response. You're welcomed with a warm smile. “Very good.”
His hand digs into the bowl of pomegranate seeds and he pops one into your mouth. You blush as you feel the tips of his fingers touch your lips and the action in general. Not even Brandon did something that bold. “T-Thank you Namjoon.”
He gives you a warm smile, showing his dimples, something you just caught. “Good, now continue answering the rest of the questions, you don't want to do bad you're first day with me do you?”
📖
Once Namjoon got his pay and started his trek home he realized something. Brandon was right, you pretty much were the perfect girl. Just from one lesson, he realized he enjoyed teaching you something he's become so familiar with.
While he was lost in thought Brandon called him and Namjoon picked it up. “Hey, how was your first class?” Namjoon didn't want to tell him that he was secretly fond of the girl that Brandon liked and that he felt something for her as well so he chose to be as bland as possible.
“It was good. We just kind of reviewed what you guys already went over before.” Namjoon said crossing the street and walking into his apartment complex. He checked the mail seeing that he had nothing.
No one usually contacted him unless it was some bill.
“That's good, is she ok? I know I kind of left on short notice.” Brandon said into the phone. Namjoon hated that he felt indifferent towards Brandon's concerns. It wasn't really like him to see his friends whining about nothing in particular. “God I must've hurt her so bad.”
“I mean if she's hurt she didn't say anything about it, I mean I guess she was nervous,” Namjoon said entering his apartment. “I mean it's nothing bad for her to not be upset. Maybe she'll ask about you later?” God, he hated giving Brandon hope.
But Brandon took it as is. “Thanks, man, I really appreciate you doing this for me. Call you later.” And before Namjoon could even wish him goodbye the phone hung up in his face.
He let out a sigh before pouring a bowl of cereal. He wished you were there for him. You wouldn't have him eating this, you'd probably want him to eat better. Namjoon caught himself thinking in that way and he caught himself. He knew this would end badly. There is no other way it could go.
📖
Namjoon had taught you for about a month now, and you couldn't stop thinking about him. Even now as he sits next to you while you study what he taught you today, you couldn't help but fantasize about him.
You sat with your head down reading over the pages in your notebook. You poked your lip out, hoping he would notice you. It was fruitless of an attempt but you at least had to try.
“Namjoon, have you ever been in love?”
He looks up at you cocking a brow. “What does this have to do with Korean?” You look away at his question, keeping your eyes glued to the notebook. Namjoon takes his thumb and tilts your eyes to look into his own. “Look up here, Answer the question.”
Your eyes look away. “It was a dumb question, I shouldn't have asked it.”
“But you did. Why?”
You let out a sigh before responding. “Well, I was just wondering if you had, you don't have to answer it, I know it's off-topic.” You blabber on, Namjoon letting your head drop.
“Well, yeah of course. I'm 29, and I of course have had a few relationships. But they always just don't get it you know?” Namjoon rests his head in his hand, elbow resting on your desk. “They didn't want to change for the sake of our relationship. I guess I just have a bad taste in women huh?” He ended with a chuckle.
“Yeah, I mean what do you like in women…? I can probably be a good judge of character for you.” You add playing it off as being nice towards him. Maybe if he told you what he liked, you could change to fit his standards. Namjoon seemed to be a perfect man, and maybe you being almost 20 could be perfect in his eyes if you did.
He turned to look at you. “Well, I like my women of course pretty. Smart, shy, well… I mean that's too much already.” He said throwing his hand up to brush it off coyly. You put a hand on his thigh, looking into his eyes as to encourage him.
“Tell me, I want to know.”
“Well, I don't think it matters really. Unless you think that you're right for me.” Namjoon said leaning down to get closer to you. “Are you baby? Are you the right person for me?”
You nodded getting closer, your lips ghosting over his own. Namjoon does the final push, connecting your lips together. His hand goes to your hair, tangling his hand into it. His tongue brushed over your teeth, pushing into your mouth. You were messy, clunky, and unsure of what you were doing. As he pulled away, his chest rose and fell. “Do you think you love me?” He finally asks. “Is that why you asked me if I had ever been in love?”
“Mhmm, you're just so… amazing and wise… I've looked at you since you showed up in the kitchen…”
“Good, I think that you're amazing, and I want to see where this goes, I think you're the right person… the one I've been looking for,” Namjoon said before connecting your lips again.
📖
From that day on, every time you had a class with Namjoon, it was really spent cuddling and enjoying your time with the older man. Laying in bed, you two would usually talk about life, normally letting Namjoon talk and praise you. Maybe it was due to the fact you usually went along with whatever he wanted to do.
Like now.
You dug your nails into his arm, his hand dug into your panties, fingering you. He quieted your moans with his lips, you sitting in front of him, toes curling as they hang off your bed. “Joon…” You whine into his mouth, trying to be as quiet as possible. “It f-feels so good…”
His fingers curled, blunt nails hitting at your walls. “Yeah? Doesn't it feel good to be loved?” He said placing kisses down your neck, sucking a hickey to join new and faded ones. He usually couldn't keep his hands off of you, no matter what, usually liking for his hands to dig into your thighs, thumbs brushing over the top of your knee-high socks. But now he wanted to give you pleasure, something he called a gift since you two were together.
You nodded as you feel your cunt gush around his thick fingers. “Please let me cum… I need it, sir.” You moan quietly into his mouth. Namjoon only liked to be called sir when messing around. He told you that it made him feel empowered and that you being there made him feel so much better than usual. You saw nothing wrong with that of course, isn't that the role of a lover?
“Do it for me, baby, all over my fingers.” And you do, as soon as he says that, you throw your head back on his shoulder. You collapse onto him, Namjoon adjusting it to where you laid on him in bed. He stuck his fingers into his mouth, sucking off your juices. You couldn't help but blush. “You taste amazing, like always.”
You roll your eyes playfully. “Are you still going to be able to make it to my party? I know my parents invited you and stuff.” You ask, hand playing with your boyfriend's cheek. Of course, coming from a rich family meant you'd have large parties for your birthday. It's not like you wanted them but, they also told you they invited your tutor who just so happened to be your boyfriend.
Namjoon swatted at your fingers, chuckling a bit. “Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world. We just won't pretend to be a thing.” He says. You nod in agreement, knowing your parent's reaction would most likely ruin the party in general.
“Yeah… okay! We should have around 30 minutes left, and I really just want to nap.” You say closing your eyes and laying down your head. Namjoons hand stroked at your head soothing you to fall asleep.
📖
The day had come for your party, and Namjoon couldn't have been more excited. He put on a brand new suit, one he brought with the money he made from his newfound job. As he arrives at the home, he spots that people have already shown up and that it's an outside party at that. Namjoon walked towards the backyard patio, your father setting up a backdrop for pictures.
“Mr, Kim, just the man I wanted to see,” Your father behind raising up to hug the man. “I'm glad you made it, hey can you head inside to grab the champagne buckets? They should be in the cellar in the basement.”
Namjoon nodded. “Yes, of course, I'll be back.” Namjoon makes his way to the back door seeing a table of women who blew kisses at them. He smiled before going inside, taking his phone out to send you a quick text.
Namjoon: Just arrived! Ur dad is already putting me to work lol
Baby🤍: Oh goddd I'll get on him about it.
Baby🤍 Still getting ready though, so just work for him a bit until I finish. Luv uuuu!!!
Namjoon chuckled at your texts as he made his way into the kitchen.
“So when were you going to tell me you started fucking her?” Namjoon put his phone down to look up, seeing no one other than Brandon. He stood at the kitchen island leaning on it, a drink in hand.
“Oh, your back? I thought you'd be gone longer.” Namjoon commented before turning to head to the basement. He wasn't going to deal with Brandon and ruin his girlfriend's day.
That thought was before Brandon shoved Namjoon into a wall. Brandon held Namjoons shirt. “Don't play dumb with me, I went to see her. I was gonna gift her a letter and she said she already had a boyfriend. And I know the only dude she would see constantly was you. How could you? I asked you to do one thing and you couldn't even do that?!” Brandon said, getting in Namjoons face. He whinced, Brandon's forearm resting on Namjoons neck pushing down. There was no way he was going to die this way, not from Brandon's rage.
Namjoon pushed him off, then shoved him down the basement stairs. Namjoon stood there as he watched Brandon fall, head hitting the wood. He waited until the last thud, Namjoon slowly walking downstairs to see what he had just done. Once he reaches the bottom, Namjoon smiles, the sick sight of Brandon writhing on the ground groaning. A puddle of blood formed around him, the impact from hitting the concrete probably giving him a concussion.
The bottom of Namjoons shoes clicked as he made his way to the cellar. He took the metal branding tool used to mark the barrels. The sound of metal shrieked as he dragged it towards Brandon's beat-up corpse. “I'm sorry I have to do this, but you're in my way now. And we can't have that now can we?” Namjoon taunted raising the iron. Brandon's eyes opened slightly as he saw the iron come down on him.
Namjoon felt tears pour down his cheeks as he began to beat Brandon in.He coughed up blood, and Namjoon didn't stop beating Brandon until he was certain he was dead. Once he came to that conclusion he dropped the iron. "Why did you make me do that huh?!" Namjoon yelled at no one. "You ruin everything, god, im happy you're fucking gone."
Namjoon claimed himself wiping his eyes of tears. He got up and grabbed the champagne buckets. He looked back before heading out of the basement, locking the door. He lets out a sigh before leaving, not looking back. He had bigger plans now, and Brandon wasn't in them.
He couldn't be in them.
Namjoons eyes trailed over your form, stopping at your socks as you laughed with your family. Outside the patio, you see Namjoon carrying the ice buckets and wave him over. He smiles at you before signing and returning to his girlfriend who he plans to keep forever.

After spending the day with Namjoon you finally went home. After his visit to the office he had been strangely cold. His conversations were short and clipped. And you wondered what you had done to get him to be so angry.
When you arrived home you rushed to your room leaving him behind. This new hot and cold attitude was starting to annoy you. He entered the room close behind you.
“There is a gala this weekend.” He mentioned casually.
“Did you want me to go with you?”
He scoffed. “Are you still my wife?”
You frowned. “Yeah?”
“Then why wouldn’t you go with me?”
“You hadn’t asked.”
“Since when do I have to ask you? By default whenever I am invited to functions so are you.”
You were both frustrated but you didn’t know why he was acting like this.
“Then what is it with the attitude?”
It was his turn to be confused.
“What attitude?”
“You’re nice a moment and an asshole the next can I have some sort of schedule to know when I can talk to you and when I can’t? Because this is getting ridiculous!”
“Listen just-” he stopped unable to continue, how could he tell you he was burning in jealousy thinking about Jimin buying a castle for you. He couldn’t. “Just let it go.” He slammed the door to the bathroom and locked himself in it.
He paced for a couple of minutes. And waited. He didn’t want to argue with you, but he couldn’t explain the change in attitude either.
You changed into your nightgown and went to sleep without waiting for him. You weren’t sure what you were doing to anger him but it had to be something. Maybe it was seeing Nari all the time and not being able to be with her even though he wanted to. You were trying to wait for him but your lids closed on their own.
By the time Namjoon came out of the bathroom you were asleep and for that he was thankful.
⊱ ━━━━.⋅ εïз ⋅.━━━━ ⊰
When you woke up the next day Namjoon was already gone. So it had begun, him ignoring you completely and not wanting to see you. You got up and checked your phone to see only a text from Yoongi.
Yoongi: Remember to eat your veggies and drink water sometimes less is more.
What the fuck.
Y/N: Remember to be nice to less fortunate people sometimes people don’t want to read your bullshit.
He answered almost instantly.
Yoongi: You know you love me. And to be fair I am always concerned. Are you going to the charity gala on Saturday?
Y/N: Have to.
Yoongi: So much enthusiasm, I love it. Wish I could see you there but I am skipping it. I borrowed my property in Sweden.
Y/N: Please say you are lying.
Yoongi: About the property or about me not going? That shit is boring and I have work, can’t waste time like that sorry bby.
You stopped replying after that. You were sure you wouldn’t have been able to speak much to him but his presence was assuring somehow.
After your coffee you went to buy a dress for the gala. You were glancing at some dresses when a familiar voice greeted you.
“Y/N” Jimin called out.
You glanced at him and smiled widely.
“Jimin, what are you doing here?” You glanced at his hands to see a black elongated bag.
“I came to pick up my tux, they had to do some adjustments.” He smiled so brightly you felt blinded for a moment. “You?”
“Oh I am buying my dress, I assume your tux is for Saturday?”
“You are correct. I have to admit I was hoping to see you at the charity. We haven’t had a chance to talk.” He stared at you as if hoping you would catch his meaning.
“Oh Jimin, uh I don’t know I …… I am back with Namjoon.” You didn’t know why you were so nervous to tell him.
“I figured as much.” He said “That doesn’t mean we can’t still talk right?” He smiled, his eyes almost coming to a close.
“Of course.” you said and tried to return the smile.
“Great, how about we go get a coffee.” he offered.
“That’s so sweet of you but I just got here and I am trying to find a dress.”
“I see, another time maybe.” he hugged you tightly and then when he let go you looked up to see Nari looking at you.
“Hello Mr. Park.” she greeted, and then she turned to you, “Y/N.”
You swallowed and Jimin seemed to notice your reaction.
“Hello Nari, are you running errands for your boss?” her smile seemed to disappear.
You turned shocked to Jimin, you had never heard him talk to someone unpleasantly.
“Uhm I came to pick up Namjoon’s tux for the charity event.”
“You mean Mr. Kim’s, Y/N’s husband?” Nari had never looked so uncomfortable before. “We have to go Nari, but hope you find what you are looking for.” he smiled and led you outside the store. “I am sorry if I was out of line.”
“No, that’s fine. Thank you.” you said staring at your feet.
He lifted your chin and slightly bent so you were looking straight into his eyes.
“You shouldn’t allow Namjoon to give her so much power like this. You deserve so much better than what he is giving you. I know you might have feelings for him, but I want you to know that I am here for anything you need.”
Your eyes blurred with tears at his words, “Jimin, this is not fair to you. Please don’t make this harder than it already is.” your voice trembled.
“I am not trying to add to your worries, I just want you to know you have someone to lean on. You are not alone.” he wiped the tears that had rolled down. “How about we go get coffee?”
You were about to agree when you felt his presence.
“I don’t think it’s appropriate for my wife to be seen in this way with you Park.” Namjoon’s voice sounded angry.
“I don’t think it’s appropriate for your secretary to parade around acting like she is your wife.” Jimin challenged.
Namjoon’s jaw clenched.
“You give her too much freedom and one of these days….” he smirked, “One of these days your wife is going to get tired of it.” Namjoon didn’t speak as Jimin started to walk away. He turned again and stared at Namjoon, “Think about it Kim.” he spat the last name as if he was disgusted, after that he left leaving you two alone.
You felt Namjoon’s gaze burning a hole into your head, and you couldn’t meet his eyes. You made a move to walk away but Namjoon grabbed your forearm.
“Namjoon -”
“Don’t you think it’s too much cynism for you to walk around with him like that, and have him touch you like that?” he growled in a low tone.
You pulled your arm free, “I was here looking for a dress and he was picking up his tux we found each other by chance. It wasn’t planned Namjoon.”
You turned to walk away and then you saw her from inside the store, staring at you with a smug smile. Rage ran through your veins as you turned around and almost jumped Namjoon. You reached for him and pulled him down for a kiss. You caught him by surprise and he allowed you to pull him to you, you were even more surprised when he began responding to your kiss and wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer.
The kiss was slow, but at the same time full of unsaid emotions. He pulled away but didn’t let you go. He was staring at your lips and was slightly out of breath.
“I don’t want to fight, please.” you pleaded looking into his eyes.
He swallowed hard. “Okay,” he gave in. “Let’s go.” he mumbled grabbing your hand and pulling you alongside him.
⊱ ━━━━.⋅ εïз ⋅.━━━━ ⊰
“Why did you want this?” Namjoon asked as he bit into the burger he had ordered.
His look contrasted completely with the small establishment, and the dark grey suit was too fancy for this place. Even as he had taken his grey jacket off and rolled up his sleeves, he still looked out of place.
“You brought me here once, a long time ago.” It was during that blissful month Namjoon had gone out of his way to show you he cared for you. “And I really liked it,” you grabbed a couple of french fries and dipped them into ketchup.
The truth was that you were grasping at any happy memory you had with him. Anything to remind you of what was, even if the fall was worse it didn’t matter. You would enjoy it for as long as you could.
“Why did you kiss me?” his question startled you.
You stopped the fries mid air and looked at him. “Because I can, we are married right?”
Namjoon reached for his drink smiling. “Yeah, but don’t go thinking you are ending arguments like that all the time.”
“How am I supposed to end them then?”
“I don’t know, I’m sure you can get creative.”
“I can try.” you mumbled with a smile.
“Do you want me to take you to find your dress?” he offered.
You looked up from your food with wide eyes.
“You’d go with me?”
He smiled showing you his set of dimples. You basked at the sight, it was so rare for him to smile genuinely towards you.
“If you want me to, I wouldn’t mind helping you pick out a dress.”
“That would be really great.” finally you smiled.
You were always weary of Namjoon’s kindness. It usually meant he was about to hurt you. But right now it didn’t matter, you were starving for any kind of softness he could offer. You would lap it up and allow him to hurt you because however short amount of time this would last you would take it.
After a day of looking for dresses you finally found a red satin dress that was completely backless. Namjoon had not looked at it, he was busy in a phone call when you had chosen it. You hated seeing him on the phone, as you felt Nari was always on the other end.
“Yes, but that one is still in construction.” you heard him say.
He seemed to be getting frustrated, he pushed his hair back and sighed loudly.
“Maximilian, how can I let you use it if it is still in construction?” he asked exasperated.
You weren’t sure what the man answered on the other end but Namjoon seemed to be getting more and more upset.
“Yes, I said yes to those. Why do you need more?” a pause. “I don’t really care.” his mouth did the thing. The thing was when only one side of his jaw would clench, and you knew whenever that happened was when he was full of rage. “Okay, we can discuss this at another moment. I am busy.” he didn’t wait for an answer just clicked. “Sorry, ready ?”
You nodded and allowed him to take you home. You both got ready for bed in silence. Whatever Maximilian had said had enraged him enough to not want to speak at all, and you were not going to push.
“Would you mind if we took a bath?” He broke the silence snapping you out of your thoughts.
You dropped the sheet, and rubbed your neck.
“Like right now?” you asked surprised.
“Nevermind, forget I asked.” the softness in his voice showed you how stressed he was.
“I’ll go get it ready.” you said moving to the bathroom.
You were getting the tub ready when you felt him standing behind you. You turned around to find him already naked, he pushed your robe off your body letting it fall to the floor. He pushed the straps off your shoulders and watched as the silk gown fell to the floor.
Without another word, he got into the tub and made space in between his legs and waited for you to sit. You got into the tub and rested against Namjoon’s chest. You felt his half hard member against your back, you rested your head against his shoulder.
“Is everything okay Namjoon?” you mumbled afraid of his reaction.
He started peppering your cheek and alongside your jaw with kisses, you had to close your eyes to the sensation. “Ssshh” he mumbled against your skin. “I just want to feel you.” his hand snaked to your slit and ran his fingers along it teasing you.
You groaned at his ministrations, “Namjoon..” his other hand grasped your breast and began kneading it. You grabbed onto his hand that was kneading your breast and held it tightly, after teasing you he pushed two fingers inside you eliciting a moan out from you.
“You’re so wet.” he groaned against your skin, he began a relentless pace. “Come on baby I want to feel you squeeze my fingers cum for me.” he pinched your clit and you came instantly. Namjoon held you tightly against his body peppering kisses on your skin as you calmed down.
“Namjoon?” he was still holding you to him.
“Mh.”
“Are you okay?” he had never in all the time you had been with him acted like this.
“I am fine, just some problems at work but that has never changed.”
You leaned into his touch and turned slightly to see his face. You were surprised he hadn’t tried to do something else. You felt his dick nudging your lower back. You turned as much as you could in the tub and kneeled between his legs. He was watching you carefully as you leaned in and began kissing him, he returned your kiss immediately. You spread your legs and placed one on each side of Namjoon’s, you lead his dick to your entrance and slowly sunk down until you were fully seated on his dick.
His eyes were closed, and his face looked pained at the feeling of your pussy wrapped tightly around his dick. You kissed him again as you tried to start a pace but Namjoon’s hands flew to your hips to still your movements.
“Wanna feel you wrapped around me a bit longer, don’t move.” he said against your lips as he began kissing you more aggressively. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him closer to you, or at least you tried. Your breasts were already rubbing against his hard wet chest.
Slowly he began lifting you from him and slamming you back down. The water began spilling from the tub but he didn’t care.
“Tell me you are mine.” he demanded sucking bruises into your skin.
“I’m yours Namjoon.” you moaned at his possessiveness.
“Say it again.” he growled meeting your thrusts the best he could.
“Yours!” you almost yelled. “I am yours Namjoon.”
“Cum for me baby.” he said this against your neck and at his demand you came, he followed closely as he felt your walls tightening around him.
You were both breathing hard but did not move an inch. You basked in the feeling of having him so close, even if it was only because you had just had sex. You felt Namjoon’s dick slipping out and you almost whined at the loss. Namjoon grabbed your face and kissed you again.
You were so enthralled and lost in him that you almost missed the sound of your cell phone. You ignored it, but then it was his. Discarded somewhere on the floor. You panicked thinking it was for your dad, you rushed out of the tub naked looking for your phone. A missed call from Olivia.
You called immediately. And she answered almost as quickly.
“Is my dad okay?, what is -”
“Y/N!.” she interrupted. “It’s not your dad, it’s Aiden.”
Your blood ran cold as you quickly put some clothes on, when you almost stumbled on the stairs Namjoon grabbed you and hugged you tightly to his body. His heat and scent only slightly calming you.
“Calm down.” he whispered against your hair.
You nodded mutely and rushed to the hospital with him alongside you. Olivia was waiting for you at the entrance. She saw the state you were in and kept her mouth shut until you stopped rambling.
“He is okay, he has a laceration on his forehead. He..” she took a deep breath. “He escaped from the institution he was in and drank a lot. He crashed the vehicle he was driving.”
You gasped and covered your mouth, you turned around and Namjoon hugged you. He rubbed your back trying to console you.
“Did he …. “ Namjoon began but looked down at your huddled form against him, “What are the damages?”
“It was a pole, thankfully no one else was hurt.”
You released a breath of relief at her words.
“Can I see him?”
“Yeah, I’ll take you to his room. He is still unconscious.” Olivia guided you to his room.
Before you went inside you turned to her, “My dad, I know you said you would give me an update when you had one. But….” you trailed off.
“He is responding favorable to the treatment. I didn’t want to say anything yet because I really want him to be stable for a few more days.”
Your eyes were teary but you still smiled at the news. “Thank you.” you whispered before turning back and walking through the door.
“I told her the other day, but I am glad you both are getting along better.” Olivia told Namjoon as he leaned against the wall by the door.
He placed a slender finger against his lips silencing her, he motioned for them to walk away from the door.
“Let’s go grab a coffee.”
They both walked into the cafeteria and grabbed a seat. Olivia sipped into her coffee slowly, slightly blowing on the hot liquid.
“I don’t know that we are.” he responded to her earlier statement.
“Oh, I do think you two look closer. I might be wrong, but she looks a bit better.” she glanced at him. “You on the other hand look stressed.”
“Did you know Jimin is in love with her?”
Olivia looked away from his penetrating gaze.
“Listen, have you tried taking a moment to get to know her? You have judged her from the beginning and made it clear you wanted nothing other than purely physical with her. Have you wondered how she feels?”
He scoffed, “Oh please, the only reason she had to come back was because of her family’s company once again being in fucking ruins.”
“Damnit Namjoon why do you have to be so cold? Just like when she had the miscarriage.”
His head jerked, “It was an abortion.”
“It was a spontaneous abortion even you know what that means.”
“But Nari….”
“Oh God Namjoon you are so damn stupid.” he looked afronted. “Listen to yourself for two seconds, how can Nari’s word have so much value to you?.” she considered something then, “Are you in love with her?, Is that why you keep her around despite her ruining any semblance of a normal marriage you might have?”
“You are a doctor Olivia, you have to be smarter than that.”
She laughed sarcastically at that, “And you are the CEO of one of the most prominent companies in the world Namjoon, you have to be smarter than that.” her beeper went off, she pulled it out of her white coat and checked it. “I have to go but think about it Namjoon, at least try. For both of your sakes.” she walked away after that.
Namjoon walked into the room to see you asleep against Aiden’s arm. It was past midnight and he knew you were tired. He sat down on a chair across from you and stared at your sleeping form. He wondered to what degree you hated him. And if he were to give you your freedom who would you choose Jimin or Yoongi. He thought Jimin had stronger feelings for you, never afraid of declaring his feelings. Whereas Yoongi would show how much he cared for you.
You stirred in your sleep and moved to a seating position, you looked disoriented until your gaze fixed on Namjoon. You rubbed your eyes sleepily, Namjoon went to stand next to you. He leaned against you and you felt his scent intoxicating you.
“Let’s go get you a coffee or something.” he suggested.
You stood on wobbly legs, Namjoon noticed and held onto your arm.
“Lean against me it’s fine.”
You looked up at him and then completely leaned into him. He led you through the corridors in silence. You reached the lobby only to be shaken from this heaven you felt yourself wrapped in. Nari looked around frantically, searching. Until her eyes landed on him.
She rushed to him and almost pushed you away. “Are you okay Namjoon?” She looked almost crazy checking for wounds.
You let go of Namjoon and he felt it.
“Nari what the hell are you doing here?” Namjoon growled between clenched teeth.
“You said you were in the hospital, I had to make sure you were alright.”
“Namjoon I just have to say it again.” you laughed. “You have an amazing secretary.” you walked away after that, unable to hear whatever it is they were going to talk about.
You went back into the room and waited patiently for Aiden to open his eyes. After what seemed like forever his eyes opened.
“Where am I?” he croaked, alerting you of his consciousness.
“You are in the hospital Aiden, do you remember anything?” your voice came out in a whisper, afraid to be too loud.
“No..” he closed his eyes.
“Aiden why did you escape the institution?” you questioned in the brink of tears.
If he hadn’t been so buried in debt you wouldn’t have had to go back to Namjoon and torture yourself in the way he had been torturing you. You didn’t know how long you would be able to do this, to pretend the attention Nari gave him and the attention he so obviously gave her wasn’t drilling a deeper hole into your chest.
“I’m sorry.” he was seeing the way your face contorted in pain.
“Can you please just get better?” you grabbed his hand. “I don’t know how much longer I can do this.” your voice was hoarse from holding back your tears.
“I’m sorry,” he repeated. “Y/N?” he called, when you finally looked at him the tears spilled freely, you covered your mouth to cover up the sobs escaping. “What happened? What did he do?” he demanded more forcefully.
“Nothing, just please get better.” you cleaned your tears and attempted a smile. “Can you promise me?, please?” you begged pathetically.
“I promise to do better.” he looked at your pained expression and he doubted it was all about him.
“I am going to go home and change I will be back soon I promise.” you said as you left the room before Namjoon would come back.
You left then, took a cab and made your way home. When you arrived the tears came faster and harder at the sight of the tub and your discarded night clothes. You were openly crying as you showered and got ready for bed. You were brushing your hair when you heard the front door opening.
“Y/N?” Namjoon’s voice called from downstairs. When there was no response he yelled louder. “Y/N!” you heard his hurried steps up the stairs and continued to brush your hair slowly. Your eyes were swollen from crying but it would be justifiable. He wouldn’t know the tears were because of him. When he finally opened the door to your room he looked around finally spotting you. “I was calling out for you.”
“I know.” you stood up and went to sit on your side of the bed.
“You just left the hospital,” he commented.
“You noticed.” Once upon a time he had used the exact same words on you. And you felt a sick sense of satisfaction at throwing them back at him.
He sensed the words and you saw him get ready for the argument. An argument you weren’t planning on having.
“Listen -”
“Not today Namjoon. We can argue all you want tomorrow. But just right now I want to sleep.” you ignored him and laid down allowing the darkness to take a hold of you.
You woke up to an empty bed. But you were already expecting this, it was so Namjoon to just leave whenever things got out of hand. After all, you weren’t a problem he liked dealing with. It was late, almost five when you finally woke up. You stayed in bed unable to bring yourself to get out of bed. You were sad for getting to this point again.
“I brought food.” you jumped at Namjoon’s voice from the entrance. “I didn’t want to wake you but I am glad you are awake.” he approached your side of the bed and sat next to you.
You cried again, this was the worst form of torture he could inflict upon you. He was nice to you and then he would rip it away in the worst form possible. He misunderstood and thought you were crying for your brother, and maybe this made you selfish but everything piled up and he was the one driving the knife into your heart.
“I talked to Olivia before I came, he is getting hospitalized and then moved to an Institution. They will make sure he leaves the habit.” he tried. But you only cried harder. He pulled you onto his lap and hugged you tightly to his chest which only made the tears come faster.
“Stop.” You said, your voice coming out raspy from the tears. You got off his lap and went to huddle in your previous spot. Namjoon tried to pull you but you shook his touch away. “I just want to sleep.” You pulled the covers around you and willed sleep to engulf you once more.

You lost the notion of time. When you woke up you were disoriented, and felt dizzy. You got up and went to the bathroom to brush your teeth and wash your face.
You weren’t sure what time it was, you went outside to search for your phone but you couldn’t find it. You ventured outside of the bedroom to look for it. You heard noises downstairs but you knew it was not Namjoon, he wouldn’t still be here. You followed the sounds into the studio to find him staring intently at some papers scattered on his desk. When you opened the door his head lifted to search for the sound.
“You’re here” you commented.
His gaze returned to his documents, “I live here.” His tone was cold and detached, this you were accustomed to. This you could handle.
“I know that, I thought you would be in your office.”
“Does my presence bother you that much?” He asked not looking at you.
“It doesn’t. I just thought…..” you trailed off. “Have you seen my phone?” You asked instead.
“No, I heard it ring somewhere but I did not answer.” His response made you suspicious.
Without another word you went to find it. It wasn’t hard to find. It lay on top of the small centered table in the living room. Before you retrieved it the screen lit up. You saw several notifications but Yoongi’s name appeared almost at the top. Three missed calls and seven text messages. All of them asking for a call back.
You called him back immediately Yoongi wasn’t one to call you like this, he answered on the second ring.
“Nice of you to finally call me back.” His voice was serious, drained of any emotion.
“I’m sorry I had a long night.” you explained, he sighed on the other side.
“It’s okay, I haven’t heard from you in a while and just wanted to make sure you were alright.”
“That’s it?, you were just checking on me?”
“Don’t sound so surprised. I’ve always done it.”
You tiptoed to your room and shut the door close. “Did something happen with Hoseok?” you asked.
A groan. “Really?”
“Look I know that you check on me on a regular basis but I also know that this urgency is not only on my well being. So just tell me what happened so I can give appropriate advice.” The line was quiet. “You tell me yours and I’ll tell you mine.” you tempted.
“Fine whatever,” he started. You moved closer to the window and looked out as he began. “Hoseok was with a woman.” That hurt even you. But it was so Yoongi straight to the point.
“Can I get a bit of context?”
“He slept with a woman that’s like double the betrayal, you don’t need anymore context.”
“Yoongi..”
“Look he said he didn’t, he said they only kissed and he slept on the couch.”
“Why don’t you believe him?”
“I don’t know the purple bruises on his neck make it hard for me to look into his eyes.”
“Did he tell you why?”
“He said they were drunk.”
“And you don’t believe him?”
“Would you believe Namjoon if he said he never slept with Nari?” well shit he had to hit you where it hurt the most.
“That’s completely different.”
“How?”
“You are an asshole, how dare you compare our situations?” you were angry now.
“Y/N -”
“No Yoongi listen to me, I am stuck in a loveless marriage and it has no comparison. So why don’t you get off your ass and actually try to be happy!” you ranted and hung up the phone.
You heard a noise at the entrance of your bedroom and turned around to find Namjoon standing there looking at you with an indescribable look. Neither him or you spoke as he walked up to you and kissed you.
You were surprised at his actions but did not push him regardless, you didn’t try to stop him as he all but ripped your nightgown off your body and roughly pushed himself inside of you. You didn’t say anything as he kissed your skin anywhere he could find, sucking bruises in the process. You ignored his mumbled “You’re mine.” as he repeated over and over again because it was silly. Didn’t he already know that you would do anything for him?
Afterwards you waited to hear his deep breathing to make sure he was asleep, you went into the shower and stood under the warm spray for a long time replaying the events. You saw a bruise forming on your arm already and you flinched at the touch.
When you left the bathroom in only a towel, you glanced at the bed to see Namjoon gone. You went into your closet to find him there, he glanced at you with a guilty look on his face. He walked up to you but you made no move even as he reached for your arm and assessed the damage he had done.
“What happened -” he began but you interrupted him withdrawing your arm from his grasp.
“It’s okay, we both wanted it.” you turned away and went to rummage through your clothes.
“I shouldn’t have done it, I will have Susan move my belongings to another bedroom. I won’t ever touch you again.”
“No need, I can move my stuff this is your bedroom.” you said holding the towel a little tighter to your body.
“It’s yours,” he said just before turning away and leaving.
You weren’t sure if he made it a point to not see you for the rest of the week, but you didn’t he was always gone. And somehow things had gotten to the exact point they were in last time. You never knew what he was doing and any attempt at your relationship getting better had completely gone out the window.
You were going back and forth with your father and brother in the hospital. Aiden had been transferred within the hospital to help him curb his alcoholism a little and you weren’t allowed to see him for some time. Your dad seemed to be getting better with the treatment but you still could not see him.
Yoongi had asked you to meet him and you did. After the way that last phone call had ended you wanted to know how he was doing.
“Did you talk to Hoseok?” you asked, you both sat across from each other.
You had met at a small deli that you both liked to go to when you needed to talk.
“Yeah.” he was serious, even more than usual.
“And?” you prodded sipping on your tall glass of water.
“He keeps saying that he didn’t do anything with that woman.” He leaned against his chair, his blonde hair almost sticking to his forehead.
“Just believe him, you guys love each other. If he is telling you nothing happened nothing happened.”
“I want to believe him, maybe I will when the bruises fade. It’s a little hard to believe him when I can see the bruises that …” he sighed loudly, “Woman left.”
You pulled on the sleeve of your shirt a little tighter as if Yoongi could tell.
“I’m sorry.” you said sincerely.
“Now tell me yours.” you looked up at him surprised.
“What?”
“You said in the phone call, ‘I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours’.” you stared at him intently unable to formulate words. “Come on, you can tell me anything.” he encouraged.
“We are sleeping in separate bedrooms again.” you stared intently at your glass.
“Why?”
“Have you and Hoseok ever…” you didn’t know how to put this. “Ever you know, like done it aggressively.” you mumbled.
Yoongi chuckled, “Angry sex?” Was that what it had been with Namjoon?, “Yeah a bunch of times.”
“But only one if you is angry.” you tried to clarify.
Yoongi’s smile faded. “I need you to be more clear because what I think you are telling me right now is that Namjoon forced himself on you.”
Your head jerked to meet his gaze. “No … no no no..” you said quickly. “He was just…. I don’t know.. Nevermind.” you tried to backpedal but it was too late.
“I’ll kill him.” he mumbled under his breath.
“Yoongi no, okay? I just, I wanted it but like-”
“Why are you making excuses for him? Why on earth would you think it’s okay to make excuses for that? He moved out of your bedroom?, he should have moved out of the house!” he rose from his chair kicking it in the process.
People were starting to look into your direction, even some waiters had stopped to look towards your direction.
“Yoongi please.” you pleaded as you looked around, “Sit down.” he stared at your eyes and then looked around.
He smiled at the people and then sat back down.
“I want you out of there, fuck everything else.”
Your shoulders sagged and you almost felt the tears falling from your eyes.
“Please, can you not. I was just trying to tell you something.”
“How do you expect me to be calm after you tell me this? I know you love the guy but fuck, how much are you going to let him take?”
“Anything he wants. He can have anything he wants from me.” you said seriously looking everywhere but towards him.
He sighed loudly, attracting your attention.
“If he ever lays a hand on you in any type of way. He is a dead man.” Yoongi finished motioning at a waiter to come take your order.

“Finally found it…” Ji-Soo sighed. She had spent almost an hour placing call after call to materials management trying to get the correct tubing sent to the floor that she was helping today. Finally, after yet again getting regular tubing, instead of blood tubing she decided to go down to the damn warehouse herself. The nurses had already run to other floors and borrowed from them, but Ji-Soo wanted to see that they got stocked properly.
“She is a pretty little thing; too bad she is a hybrid whore!”
Startled by the comment, she came to a stop as she rounded the corner at the front entrance of the supply warehouse. She saw two unknown men who seemed to be talking to her bodyguard. “Chen, who are-”
Ji-Soo stumbled backwards as one of the men began stalking towards her. He was huge, wearing work boots and a black beanie; eyes full of malice. Ji-Soo looked to Chen and was shocked to see a sadistic smile on his face. She stared stupidly at the man who was supposed to keep her safe. Finding the warehouse void of workers hadn’t phased her when she initially came down, as she was only focused on finding at least one box of tubing to take back to the floor. Now, the stark reality of it all came crashing down. She was alone, and in danger.
Reacting purely on instinct, Ji-Soo turned and ran. Only taking a few strides before the huge man shoved her to the floor. Clawing at the concrete floor and gasping for breath, she tried to get back on her feet, but a heavy steel-toe work boot crashed down on her back grinding her further into the floor. Laughter met her scream of pain. Suddenly the foot was gone, and a pair of rough hands grabbed Ji-Soo by her hair and flipped her onto her back as she gulped air into her bruised lungs.
“Not so high and mighty are we now, Bitch?” Chen sneered, dragging Ji-Soo off the floor to her feet. He back-handed her sending her tumbling to the floor again, smiling when he saw the blood pouring from her mouth.
“Grab the tramp and let’s go.” The second man said, as he pushed his glasses further up his nose and glanced worriedly at the door to the warehouse.
“No! I’m going to take what’s coming to me!” Chen snarled, before straddling Ji-Soo and pawing at her shirt.
JI-Soo’s will to fight had subsided for a moment as she battled against the dizziness and nausea threatening to overwhelm her, but feeling Chen’s hands and body pressed against hers brought back the need to fight.
“Bastard!” She screamed, before scratching and biting blindly, hoping to strike anything she could reach. Trying to kick her legs up to buck him off was useless, but still she tried. Chen continued to rain blows down on her face to stop her from resisting, but at this point she was numb to the pain. She knew that if she stopped fighting, she would be raped and killed. She wasn’t going to stop fighting.
“I should have known, a hybrid slut liked it rough!” Chen wrapped his hands around Ji-Soo’s throat and squeezed. He felt a thrill as she sputtered and clawed at his hands, trying to suck oxygen back in to her burning lungs.
Blackness was overtaking her. Ji-Soo felt herself fading and wondered if this was the end. Her last thought was that her mother would miss her terribly.

Jungkook was done with his meeting at the hospital but couldn’t make himself leave. After much debate, he just decided to give in and do what he really wanted to do; ask where Lee Ji-Soo was stationed. Learning the floor where she was stationed made him feel giddy. He knew it probably wasn’t right, but he was really looking forward to talking with her again. Their encounter on the hospital steps earlier that day had been somewhat embarrassing, but if he was truthful with himself, it had also been extremely pleasant. Not only was she funny and kind, but his body had felt scorched when she had flattened against him trying not to fall. Feeling his face heat up, Jungkook was very happy the elevator was empty. He also knew that Namjoon would kill him if he became aware of what he was thinking. The elevator doors opened, and for a split second Jungkook almost hit the down button that would take him away. Away from the inappropriate thoughts and feelings, but then he couldn’t. Stepping out, he made his way to the main desk.
“Ji-Soo went to materials.” A harried unit clerk answered Jungkook as she typed into a computer.
“Wasn’t that a while ago?” A passing nurse asked, after hearing their conversation. “I would think she would have been back by now.”
Jungkook felt a knot form in his stomach when the clerk asked others if they had seen Ji-Soo return, and all shook their heads no.
“How do I get to materials?” Jungkook asked.
“It’s on lower level 1, but you can’t access it. You need a badge.”
Ripping the badge off the clerk, Jungkook ignored her and her co-workers’ shouts and headed toward the stairs. He didn’t completely understand why his gut was telling him to hurry, but he wasn’t going to ignore it. Using his phone to send a message to Namjoon, Jungkook started running.
```
Namjoon loosened his tie and sighed as he rubbed his eyes. Meeting after damn meeting. He never realized how much bullshit red-tape one had to cut through to run a military. Well, a government, really. Hearing his phone beep for what had to be the thousandth time that day, Namjoon suppressed the urge to throw the thing at the wall. Taking a steadying breath, he brought up his messages. He felt his blood run cold, and his breath stop. Jumping out of his chair, he ran out of his office and down to the garage of the building. Almost colliding with Yoongi and Jimin who were doing the same after also receiving the message from Jungkook.
“I’ll alert the hospital to go on lockdown.” Yoongi said, as they all three pounded down the stairs. Namjoon didn’t reply as he pushed through the basement door, tearing it off its hinges. The three raced to a car. Yoongi barely managed to open the car door for Namjoon before he tore it open, saving it from being demolished. Piling in, Jimin threw the car into gear and sped out, narrowly avoiding smashing into the opening garage doors.
```
Bursting through the stairwell door, Jungkook followed the signs that led him to materials. Getting closer to the warehouse door, his years of training kicked in, and he silently made his way down the rest of the hallway. He didn’t know what was going on, but he was ready for anything. At least he thought he was. Hearing a muffled, but obviously female scream, Jungkook’s training for stealth flew out the window. Not even remembering that he had a badge to unlock the door, Jungkook threw a powerful kick at the door, splintering it to pieces.
The three men surrounding Ji-Soo jumped when an inhuman roar echoed around the warehouse. Chen had a moment of confusion when he suddenly saw his two friends on the floor staring at him with glassy eyes and broken necks. Before his brain could fully process what was going on, he flew through the air, and felt his head crack against the wall. He felt the thick gush of blood before slumping to the floor unconscious.
“Ji-Soo?” Jungkook forced himself back under control, as he knelt next to Ji-Soo and tried to feel for a pulse. It sickened him to see the bloody mess that the three men had made of her. Calm settled over Jungkook as he discovered she still had a heartbeat and that she was getting air through her battered throat. Jungkook gathered Ji-Soo up in his arms and began muttering what he hoped were soothing words.
Ji-Soo fought her way through the darkness. She could feel strong arms still had her in their grasp and decided that she was still not going to give up. Letting out a hoarse cry, she again began to weakly thrash around.
“Ji-Soo! It’s ok. It’s Jungkook. I have you. You’re safe.” Jungkook soothed trying to keep Ji-Soo from hurting herself more.
“Jung…Jungkook?” Ji-Soo blinked a few times, finally bringing Jungkook’s face into focus. Then she turned her head and saw two bodies lying at horrible, unnatural angles, obviously dead. “I’m going to be sick…”
Jungkook helped Ji-Soo scramble to her knees and held her hair back as she retched and vomited. He knew it was all too much for her. Not only had she been attacked, but this was probably the fist time she had ever seen death. After a while, Ji-Soo slumped back into Jungkook’s arms again.
“Chen was with them!” Ji-Soo rasped, as she burrowed further into Jungkook’s warmth. “I thought I was going to die!” With that she began to sob. Clinging to Jungkook like he was her lifeline.
Jungkook let her cry. Let her clutch him in a death grip. He knew that he should be calling for an emergency team to get down here and start treating her, but instead he sat and held her. He didn’t think he had ever been so scared, when he thought for a moment that she was dead. Glancing over at Chen to make sure he was still out, Jungkook had to force himself, yet again, to not kill him. Even in his rage, he had known that he needed to keep Chen alive. The bodyguard needed to be questioned, but it had taken everything in him to not crush the man’s skull. He could hear people running down the hall and started to turn towards the door.
Namjoon, followed closely by Jimin and Yoongi, ran into the room. Namjoon quickly took in the scene before zeroing in on Ji-Soo. Kicking the dead bodies away so that Ji-Soo would not have to look at them, he crouched by Jungkook and began taking Ji-Soo into his own arms.
Not being able to keep completely up with what was happening so fast around her, Ji-Soo thought someone was attacking her again, and trying to take her away from Jungkook.
“NO!” Ji-Soo screamed, and clutched tighter to Jungkook as she became hysterical. Jungkook immediately pulled her tighter against him, and away from Namjoon. Namjoon felt like he had been slapped when his wife burrowed deeper into Jungkook to avoid his hands and continued to hyperventilate and cry. Shock finally setting in, Ji-Soo slumped into oblivion.
Jungkook, feigning caution to hide his reluctance, gave Ji-Soo over to Namjoon who’s eyes were boring into his own. The two hybrids gave each other dark looks, before Namjoon quickly took Ji-Soo to the elevator and the emergency room. Looking down at his now empty arms, Jungkook fought the ridiculous need to go and demand Namjoon give Ji-Soo back. Taking in the blood that stained his suit, Jungkook felt his heart speed up at what could have happened if he had not got here in time.
“Was Chen down when you came?” Yoongi asked.
“No. I did that to Chen.” Jungkook shook himself from his thoughts and forced himself to think about the here and now. Coming to his feet, he faced the other two hybrids. “Chen was part of it. When I came in, he had Ji-Soo on the ground. I killed the other two and incapacitated him.”
Just then, Chen moaned, and slowly his eyes opened. When his eyes finally focused, he was met with the truly terrifying site of a grinning Yoongi.
“Hello, Chen.” Yoongi’s voice rang out almost scarily cheerful. “We are going to get to know each other very well.”
```
Namjoon wanted to kill someone. No, not someone. Chen. He wanted to kill Chen. Knowing that he was needed to be kept alive to find out what the hell was going on, did nothing to lessen this desire. The only thing he had cared about, at first, was getting Ji-Soo to medical help. He allowed the community hospital she volunteered at to stabilize her, and then transferred her to a secured location for the rest of the treatment. It was a hybrid run hospital, and Namjoon felt slightly less anxious now that she was on one of his military bases. Looking at her, he felt his stomach tighten. She was covered in nasty bruises and suffered a concussion and several cracked ribs. It had been 2 days since the attempted kidnapping, and Ji-Soo wanted to go home, but Namjoon wanted to keep her at the hospital, just to ensure she was healing properly.
“No….no don’t…. help…. Jungkook….”
Namjoon reached for Ji-Soo’s hand as she slipped into the throes of another nightmare. She had them almost every time she was finally able to drift off to sleep.
“It’s ok. You’re safe. I’m here.” Namjoon said, waiting for her to either calm, or awake. It killed him every time she had these dreams. It was something he could do nothing about. He wanted to banish them for her, but he couldn’t. It also killed him that she called out for Jungkook every time. Jungkook had saved her, and even now Namjoon knew that she only truly felt safe when Jungkook was in the room. She never told him that, or even asked to see Jungkook, but Namjoon knew. It made his demon furious. It made him jealous. It made him ashamed. He wasn’t the one who protected her, and he would never forgive himself.
Ji-Soo’s eyes popped open and frantically darted around the room.
“Namjoon?”
“I’m here.” He answered, gently helping her sit up in bed. He made sure the pillows were where she wanted them, and then poured her some water.
“It still makes me chuckle to think that the big bad General Kim is fluffing my pillows and pouring me water.” Ji-Soo smiled before accepting the water.
“I know, my rep is taking a serious blow.” Namjoon forced himself to tease back. This was another thing she had started to do. Always trying to say something funny or trying to always have a smile on her face. She would never acknowledge the nightmares and had only talked about the attack once. The other attempts to bring it up, whether by Namjoon or the therapist, were met with clipped yes or no answers to questions.
A knock at the door, had Ji-Soo grabbing his hand. Giving her a reassuring squeeze, Namjoon smiled.
“Jimin and Jungkook are going to stay with you while I attend an important meeting.” Namjoon said, before going to the door to let them in.
“General.” Both hybrids bowed. Namjoon acknowledge them but couldn’t stop his jaw from clenching and giving Jungkook a hard stare. He was afraid that he was fast coming to hate Jungkook. It was harsh, and unfair as he owed Jungkook for saving Ji-Soo; but even that fact was not stopping the hate. His demon wanted to beat the Golden-hybrid bloody and then laugh as he watched him die. Those feelings always gave Namjoon pause, as he wondered if he was somehow more closely related to a Scorch than anyone knew. Turning back to Ji-Soo, Namjoon plastered a smile on his face while Jimin and Jungkook followed him into the room.
“I should be back by lunch.” Namjoon said, “You can contact me at any time.”
“I know, I know.” Ji-Soo smiled. “If I get so much as a broken nail, these two will tell you. Don’t worry.”
Namjoon stood looking at Ji-Soo for a bit, before finally forcing himself to walk out of her room. The door shut, and Namjoon could make out Jungkook saying he brought one of those trashy entertainment magazines for her. He could imagine the truly beautiful smile that she would grace Jungkook with. A smile, that she had never given him.
“Want me to kill Golden Boy?” Yoongi asked, bringing Namjoon out of his thoughts. His second in command was lounging on one of the hallway chairs. Namjoon eyed him for a moment, trying to see if he was joking. Then scoffed at himself. Of course, Yoongi wasn’t joking. If Namjoon wanted Jungkook dead, Yoongi would gladly do it.
“Not at present, no.” Namjoon answered, walking past Yoongi towards the elevators.
“Liar, liar.” Yoongi taunted, before following.
“What I do want.” Namjoon bit out, showing his frustration. “Is for you to start doing your damn job and finding out why my wife was attacked!”
“I plan to pay Chen a visit tonight.” Yoongi said, not at all phased by Namjoon’s outburst. “I usually wouldn’t let my prisoner see a single soul for at least a week, but I moved up my timetable for you.”
“I appreciate it.” Namjoon deadpanned, before punching the elevator button.
```
A blast of freezing cold water hit Chen, bringing him out of his stupor.
“Wakey, wakey!”
Trying to figure out where the voice was coming from, Chen rubbed at his eyes. The sound of a chair being dragged across the concrete, grated on his already shot nerves, and he moved to the corner to huddle. Only daring to look up when it was quiet again.
“Hello Chen. How are you tonight?” Yoongi asked. He smiled when Chen began to cry.

A shaky breath made its way from Namjoon’s sternum, up to his throat and out his mouth in a quick pairing of inhale and exhale. His eyes were focused outwards on the horizon before him. Most of it was blocked by the skyscrapers around him, but between the buildings here and there he could see the solid ground that disappeared in the distance due to the curvature of the earth.
He felt his phone buzz in his pocket and knew that it would be one of the other 6 boys that he had shared the most recent years of his life with.
It could be Jin, responding like a worried mother bird when she sees her new baby fall for it’s first time. It could be Yoongi, terrified that the younger boy was going through what he himself had gone through before; knowing what was going through his head but unable to stop it. It could be Hoseok, the smiling boy always trying to spread happiness between the boys, even when he himself was stressed or tired; knowing that his smiles hadn’t been enough for Namjoon would break his heart.
It could be Jimin, the boy that struggled, himself, sometimes; he would be wondering how he would fight his demons if his hyung couldn’t even keep them at bay. It could be Taehyung, someone who had gone through a sea of troubles when his Grandmother had died; the other members had let him lean on their shoulders and was probably wondering why Namjoon couldn’t lean on them this time. It could be Jungkook, the boy that could rarely show his own true emotions to the others; he would understand Namjoon’s message, knowing how hard it is to confide in others when your heart is as heavy as Namjoon’s currently was, but still hate to see his hyung like this.
Tentatively, Namjoon reached into his pants pocket. The rough denim rubbed against the back of his hand; his jeans were new and probably wouldn’t be worn again if things went the way he planned them to. The wind whistled in his ears as he pulled the metal object out of his pocket and saw the screen light up. He had more messages than he’d thought; apparently he hadn’t felt the other vibrations.
Min Yoongi: You can’t let them win, Namjoon
Min Yoongi: I know what you’re going through, Namjoon, but you have to get through this
Min Yoongi: We can’t go on without you
Namjoon grimaced at the most recent messages and began scrolling up the group chat to see the others’ responses.
Park Jimin: Leader-nim, don’t do this, please
Kim Taehyung: Hyung, where are you?
Kim Taehyung: Tell us where you are, you punk!
Jung Hoseok: Namjoon-ie just take a deep breath and talk to us
Kim Seokjin: Joon what are you doing?
Kim Seokjin: We can talk this out, come back to the dorm
Jeon Jungkook: Hyung, please
Jeon Jungkook: Don’t leave
Namjoon scrolled up to see the one text, from himself, that had set the ball rolling.
Kim Namjoon: I’ve tried so hard to be a good leader. I’ve put every ounce of myself into BTS and unfortunately I don’t have anything left. I’ve been slowly deteriorating for months. Everyone can endure if I leave, but I can’t endure if I try to stay. Take care of each other in my place. Stay with each other, under the name of Bangtan or not. Forget me as soon as possible, I cannot stand live on, in this world or in memories. 2, 3, Goodbye this has been Rap Monster.
The phone had buzzed, even as Namjoon had only held it for the past 2 minutes. He shoved the phone into his pocket without looking at it. The bright orange lights of the sunset behind him began reflecting off the glass buildings around him; occasionally, a stray beam of light would hit his eyes.
He smiled; sunsets had always fascinated him. Everyday, different colors, at different moments. He wondered who’s first sunset was this one; he wondered who else would have this sunset as their last, with him.
Another deep breath made its way through his respiratory system. His felt his chest expand as he drew air in through his nose and felt it fill his lungs. Moments later he opened his mouth and let his lungs empty out into the city before him.
A gust of wind blew against Namjoon’s back and he sucked a breath through his teeth as he struggled to regain his balance. He looked down as he stepped back to steady himself. 6 inches in front of his foot was open space.
Namjoon took a deep breath and began to retake his previous stance. He pulled his right foot forewards so that 3 inches of it was over the edge. Shakingly, he moved his left foot forward as well until both of his shoes were even. Carefully, Namjoon looked down the drop off.
Below him sat the main highway through the city, dozens of cars passing by every minute. His eyes traveled slowly back up the brick wall below him, up all 24 stories. He had counted them as his feet had climbed the steps to the roof.
504 steps.
504 chances to turn back.
504 steps of apprehension.
504 steps of perseverance.
Namjoon slowly raised his eyes from the asphalt to the birds above him. Crows. Death omens. A sad smile made its way to his face, how appropriate he thought.
Involuntarily, Namjoon’s mind wandered to the photoshoot that he and the other 6 boys had done together not too long ago. Hoseok had been paired with a snake, but the most prominent memory was Jimin with the parrot. Although Jimin was scared at first, the photography was, in the end, able to get some great photos of him with the bird.
These were different birds now.
Namjoon thought of all the movies in which he had seen a crow foretelling death. He thought of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven, one of his favorite poems. Black birds; death omens.
Namjoon’s eyebrows raised slightly when he saw a white dove fly into the flock of darkness.
He tore his eyes away and the sight above him and looked out over the city again, shaking his head slowly.
Procrastinating the final moment was no use, but he couldn’t help it. He grit his teeth as he pulled his phone, determined to make this the final time. His hand was shaking as he clicked the power button again.
Kim Seokjin: Na-
Namjoon flinched before pulling his arm back and flinging the small metal device into the skyscraper playground in front of him, refusing to read the screen lest his mind shake as much as his hands.
He tried to gulp down his sorrow, but his dry throat wouldn’t allow him to. His tongue felt like it was stuck in the back of his throat and he choked out a sob.
He couldn’t even do this right.
He pulled on his hair and yelled. He yelled for multiple moments, attracting the attention of the passersby below him. A few pulled out their phones while others rolled their eyes. Even after he’d stopped, his voice bounced back to him, echoing off the nearby architecture. It sounded hurt and broken. The voice of a man that had given up on everything; the voice of a dead man walking.
Namjoon dropped his fists to his side. He took one last look at his small crowd of yelling spectators below and turned on his heel.
Instead of his toes, his heels now hung over the edge of the building’s rooftop. The only thing holding him up was his toes. He stood, balanced on the balls of his feet, for a few moments, appreciating the sunset that had grown even lovelier, as sunsets do, in the last few minutes.
He closed his eyes, but could still see the orange light through his eyelids. The light. His enemy
His hands shook as he uncurled them and placed them flat against his legs and opened his eyes.
Another deep breath.
Slowly Namjoon lifted his right leg and stretched it backwards. Even when he moved it around, he felt nothing solid for its support.
“No one can save me now,” He whispered to himself, “No one.”
He felt himself begin to fall backwards. His eyes were trained on the building’s rooftop and the objects that were scattered about it.
His ankle had passed the height of the ledge when he heard the rooftop door open.
His knee had passed the height of the ledge when he saw a familiar head of pink hair leading a small band of boys, frantically, onto the roof.
His body had tilted back too far to watch the rooftop when he head 6 distinctive yells, call calling various forms of his name with different honorifics tied to the end of them.
Leader-nim, Namjoon-ie, Namjoon-Hyung, Rap-Monster-ssi, Rap-mon-ie, and Kim Namjoon, said loudest of all by the tall pink haired boy, we’re yelled from the boys’ mouths.
Namjoon couldn’t help but smile to himself as he fell.
As the building grew taller, he saw 6 familiar heads pop over the ledge. One, the silver haired boy, tried to crawl over the ledge after him, frantic to grab him even though he was much too far away, but was held back by black haired boy, gritting his teeth in clear strain. The blonde haired boy wrapped the brown haired boy in a hug as they cried to each other. The orange haired boy stood like statue at the edge, no trace of a smile on his face.
The pink haired boy stayed sprawled over the edge, his lanky arms dangling and his eyes following Namjoon’s fall frantically.
Namjoon reached his arm up, trying to reach towards his friends, as a final gesture of compassion, when his body hit the ground and his consciousness stopped.
Jin’s Letter {July 6th}
I tried to jump after you, to grab your hand, but Jimin held me back.
When I tore out of his grip, Hoseok and Yoongi were right there to grab me in his place. Even Jungkook held me back through his tears.
I left the dorm today and and headed back to Gwacheong. I had to get away from them; all they do is remind me of you.
I know you told us to stay together, but how can I be around them when all I can think of is the day you died and we all experienced it together? June 27th will never be the same. I can’t fulfill your wish, to forget you, I’m sorry.
Army’s found out the next day. Your burial was extravagant due to their gifts, and none of us could keep from crying. Jimin had to break the news to your family so that they could attend and help plan it.
Someday, Joon, I’ll return to them, but not now. When I return, then we’ll decide what to do. We can’t leave Army’s like this. I should take the spot of leader if we continue, right? You wouldn’t resent me, would you? If we don’t continue, I’ll rewatch our performances; at least then I’ll get to see your face again.
You were always so clumsy. Why couldn’t you have fallen forward and given us time to pick you up, time to hold you back, time to talk it out.
I never got a read receipt on the last text I sent you so I don’t think you read it. It was just 2 simple words.
“Namjoon, please.”
I don’t think those would’ve been enough anyway. You seemed so determined.
I’m writing this letter for my therapist, like I’ve done a dozen times, each for a different therapist. I can’t stand to open up anymore. I think this will be the last letter I write.
Goodbye, Kim Namjoon.
Message me if you want me to post Part 2 when I write it.

Summary: You had the choice of an arranged marriage, upon meeting Namjoon he acted as if he actually cared for you but as time passed you realize that this would not be a fairy tale.
A/N: Thank you so much for reading, if any of the topics above make you uncomfortable please don’t read.
With a small duffel you walked inside Namjoon’s home. You couldn’t bring yourself to call it yours after his hurtful words. This meant nothing to him. A simple give and take. You moving back in with him only meant you could not succeed on your own. You were doomed to repeat the past again and move in with a man who felt little to nothing for you.
“Our room is upstairs, I’ll have the maid help you take your belongings.” he tried to pull your duffel from your shoulder but you refused moving away from his touch.
“I got it, thanks.” you muttered going upstairs.
“The far one. That’s ours.” he said again.
You didn’t acknowledge his comment and continued to walk, until you reached the door. You opened it and walked inside fearful. Fearful to be hurt worse than last time. Namjoon walked passed you and left his belongings on the small night stand. The bed was king sized and it was fitted with dark sheets.
You dropped the bag on the floor and looked around the cold room.
“You can get whatever you need, or want. I will have Nari order you new credit cards.” his voice surprised you, you turned away from him and began looking through the stuff in his room.
“Thanks that’s not necessary.” you muttered.
Namjoon didn’t acknowledge your comment and proceeded to get ready for bed. You did the same and went to bed not asking anything else. Right now everything would sound pathetic. He had saved you again. And you were afraid this time the price to pay would be worse than that first time.
The next day you woke up to an empty bed. You touched the side of the bed Namjoon had occupied and it felt lacking warmth. He had left much earlier. You got ready and headed to the hospital to see your dad. You messaged Yoongi to let him know you were on your way. And you both agreed to meet there.
“Somehow you manage to look worse each time I see you.” Yoongi mumbled sipping on his coffee.
“Somehow you manage to sound like more of an asshole every time I see you.” you replied.
He laughed at that, “I am just saying. Did you go back to him?” He leaned against the chair in the waiting area.
“I had to, he just … it’s the only way.” you defended weakly.
“I know your dad is not well but you really don’t care about how badly he can hurt you?”
“Yoongi please stop, I made the decision. It’s done, I can’t go back now.” you sighed heavily.
“I know. Listen just try to make the best of it.”
You smiled sadly, “I’ll try.”
“Y/N?” Taehyung called out.
Your face lifted immediately. “Yes?”
“You can go in to see your father, he is awake.”
You jumped from your seat and followed Taehyung to your father’s room. When you finally entered the room was dimly lit, your dad was hooked onto various machines. You took a seat next to him as his eyes fluttered open.
“Y/N.” his voice came out in a rasp.
“Shh dad. Please don’t strain yourself.”
A smile ghosted his lips, “I thought… I thought you were mad at me… for … for forcing you into a loveless marriage.” you swallowed at that.
“Dad, I love Namjoon.” it wasn’t a lie.
“Does… Is he …. Does he share it?”
Tears pricked your eyes. He meant Namjoon didn’t love you.
“Dad, you didn’t force me to marry him.” you tried to steer away from the love topic. “It was my decision.”
“You … you felt obligated…. Because I failed as a father…. I failed to educate Aiden….” he took a harsh breath and you tried to get him to stop talking but he shook the oxygen mask you were handing him away. “I failed again because here you are again..”
Your hands shook at his words.
“No dad, I’ve never regretted marrying Namjoon.” that was part lie and part truth. The selfish masochist part of you didn’t care he didn’t love you or the hell you were living with him because all you wanted was to have him close and be able to call him yours. To know you shared a home. But that was the whole extent of it. He wasn’t your friend. You didn’t know much of him and vice versa.
“I want you to do what makes you happy….. Please… I can’t be ….” he wheezed and you placed the oxygen mask on.
You were openly crying now but he was too weak to realize. Once you were sure he was asleep you went to walk out of the room. You closed the door quietly and covered your mouth to prevent any sounds from coming out. You rested your forehead against the door and squeezed your eyes shut.
“What happened?” Namjoon’s voice caused you to jump.
“What are you doing here?” you were confused, you didn’t remember him saying he would meet you here.
When he saw your tear stricken face his perfect features automatically marred with concern, in three strikes he reached you and grabbed your face with his hands softly and delicately, as if he feared you might break. With his thumbs he cleaned your tears.
“What happened?” he repeated.
“He is just so… so sick Namjoon.” you closed your eyes and began to cry again, and for the first time in probably ever he pulled you in for a hug. He rested his chin on the top of your head and hugged you tightly to his body. He tried to sooth you by doing circles on your back.
“It’s going to be okay, we are going to get him the treatment he needs. Olivia and Taehyung are going to take care of him.” you felt his voice rumble through his chest. You didn’t want to move too afraid of the spell breaking. He had never shown you any type of concern. Not even when your child.. You couldn’t even think about it. “Have you eaten breakfast?”
You shook your head, “I am not hungry.” you mumbled still crying.
He pulled you away from him and you almost whined at the loss of warmth, he smiled at you and cleaned your tears once again.
“You have to eat something. We can order for delivery or go have breakfast somewhere.”
“I want to go home.” you didn’t look at him waiting for him to correct you in your statement.
“Let’s go then.” he motioned for you to walk ahead of him
»»————- ————-««
When you arrived home he seemed determined to be nice to you. You weren’t sure if it was because of your father’s illness that he decided to be nicer to you. But you were afraid, if him being detached and cold would not allow you to get over him this would definitely not cushion the blow when all of this fell over.
You both walked inside the house, it was early and it felt awkward. Unaware of Namjoon’s intentions with all of this you felt concerned.
“Namjoon why did you go to the hospital?” your curiosity got the better of you.
Namjoon was giving you his back and you tried to walk around to see his face but he quickly moved, “I didn’t know I needed permission to go see my in law.” his tone was clipped and cold, a completely different tone than the one he used in the hospital.
“I didn’t mean it like that Namjoon, I just thought that since you had gone into the office you were going to be there all day and -”
“Is it because you had plans with Yoongi and I ruined them?” his voice was raised.
Your face contorted in confusion, “I don’t know what you’re talking about -”
“Really?, because he was there when I got there. He is always around you, rounding you worse than Jimin and I want to know what’s going on since you are still my wife!”
“Can you stop and listen to yourself for two seconds!, Yoongi is my friend. And he will always be around me -”
“I don’t want him around.” he interrupted you. All softness had been drained from his features and in its place there was only discontent and anger.
“Well I don’t know what to tell you.” you crossed your arms across your chest.
His jaw clenched and you saw his shoulders square. Without another word he turned and began walking towards the entrance.
“Namjoon!” you yelled after him.
He stopped but didn’t turn around. “I lost my appetite.”, he resumed walking out of the house.
You were left to cry on your own. You went upstairs and went inside one of the guest rooms. Unable to stop yourself you realized how hard this was all going to be. This was the second time you left a bedroom that was deemed for the both of you and decided to sleep elsewhere.
At some point you fell asleep. But loud screams woke you up. You got up carefully from the dark room and opened the door to hear the screams louder. They were coming from downstairs and from Namjoon.
“I am telling you she is not here! ….” there was a pause. “Her phone is here but she isn’t I need you to find her!, it’s night Seokjin.” he screamed into the phone. “She is not at the hospital I checked.” you weren’t sure what Seokjin was saying on the other end but it seemed to enrage Namjoon even more. “Fucking help me find her instead of giving me useless marriage advice.” he ended the call then and threw the phone on the couch.
Carefully you went down the stairs barefoot and saw Namjoon in only his pant suit and a white dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. When you reached the end of the stairs you weren’t sure if to make a sound. He sighed loudly and turned around. He jumped at the sight of you. He took in your swollen eyes and barefoot and didn’t know what to say.
“I was in one of the empty bedrooms.” you said quietly.
His shoulders sagged and he seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Just then his phone went off. He made no move to answer it. Instead he looked back at you.
“Did you have a chance to eat?” he asked.
You shook your head. “I am not hungry, I have a headache so I am probably going to go back to bed.” you turned to go back up the stairs but he reached for your arm pulling you to him.
“I can order something, it’s no problem.” He said it so softly you almost fell for it again.
But you shook your head. Not wanting to fall into his trap once again.
“Thank you, I’ll just go upstairs and take a pill and go back to sleep. I’m fine.” You pulled on your arm and went back upstairs into your bedroom.
You missed the way Namjoon stared at you longingly as you walked up the stairs. And the little squeeze his eyes made in relief to have found you safe. Or earlier how crazed he had been when he didn’t find you anywhere. In his own stupidity he didn’t even think about checking on the rest of the bedrooms thinking you were too upset to even be in this place. Because anyone was better than him. Anyone who you weren’t forced to be around would be so much better than him.
His phone went off once again, he reached for it seeing his brother’s name on the caller ID. He declined the call only to get a message almost instantly.
Seokjin: I know you are mad because you think Olivia and I are against you. But we really want you to be happy.
He began typing but erased it several times.
Namjoon: .. She was here. Thanks.
He locked the phone and went to look for you upstairs. You were curled up on the far end of the bed. He couldn’t tell if you were awake or not. He went around the bed to face you. Your eyes were closed but the lids were still swollen.
He was so tired of making your life miserable. But he could not let you go. He would never admit what his siblings had realized so quickly. He would never give in. He went back to the bathroom to take a shower and go to bed.
»»————- ————-««
You stretched on the bed feeling your limbs slightly numb. You glanced at the clock on Namjoon’s side, the blaring red numbers said nine am. You got out of bed and grabbed your silk robe from the chair, the robe reached barely your knees. You went downstairs to get coffee ready and saw a shadow in the kitchen. You went inside to find a lady cleaning the counters. You jumped at the sight.
“Oh sorry I didn’t mean to scare you.” the lady went around the counter to check on you.
“It’s okay, I am sorry I didn’t know.” you glanced at her and you recognized her immediately. “Susan,” you breathed. “I didn’t know you had stayed with Namjoon.”
Susan smiled warmly. “Yes, after he moved here by himself I couldn’t bear him being by himself. I practically raised that boy.” you smiled back at her. “I am glad you decided to go back to him.”
“Yes,” you looked around, “I missed him.” you whispered as if it was a secret.
But Susan only covered her mouth to muffle her laughter. “I am afraid so did Namjoon.”
You were about to ask about it when the doorbell rang.
“Coffee should be just about ready, I will get the door.” she walked away and you stayed in the kitchen. Until you heard her voice.
“Can you tell Namjoon I am here and want to speak to him?” Nari’s voice made your skin crawl.
You exited the kitchen and you could tell the surprise in her eyes as she saw you.
“Y/N.” she breathed putting a hand over her heart.
“Susan, Namjoon is showering I will let him know his secretary is here.” you said sweetly but meaning to somehow hurt her.
“It’s not necessary, I can just wait.” she said desperately.
Her words replayed in your head. “He would have married me if he would have had the chance.”
“It’s not a problem Nari really.” you smiled and went upstairs to find Namjoon.
You heard the shower still going and didn’t even knock, you just went inside. He was in the shower still, you felt in a trance as you saw the water gliding on his body. He was giving you his back, allowing you a full view of his ass and you couldn’t help but stare.
You shook your head and got closer to the glass, you tapped on it twice before you fully got his attention. He rubbed his eyes to brush the excess of water off and smiled smugly. He poked his head out of the glass as if he wouldn’t have listened to you regardless.
“Your girl is here.” He smiled widely his dimples in full display, you were about to turn around and walk away but he spoke.
“I see her, does she want to join me?” he responded.
He thought you were talking about you. It took you two seconds to unwrap your robe and let it fall to the floor, and before you fully took off your silk camisole you were already inside underneath the water spray. Namjoon didn’t take his hands off of you as he all but ripped your panties. He began kissing you desperately and you returned it fully.
You wrapped your arms around his neck as he squeezed your hips. You felt his hardness against your stomach and moaned at the contact. He swallowed your moan and began trailing kisses down your throat.
“Fuck..” he groaned when you reached for his dick and wrapped your hand on it. “I’m not going to last long babygirl.” he reached for the back of your thighs and lifted you, your back hit the glass as you fully wrapped your legs around his waist.
“Fuck me Namjoon.” he groaned at your words, you felt his tip at your entrance and in one push he was fully inside of you. You buried your face on his neck and began placing wet kisses.
“Keep doing that and you won’t be able to fucking walk when you get out of this shower.” he growled.
Deliberately you slightly bit his neck.
“You asked for it.” he began pounding you then, pulling out and then pushing inside. “Fuck you’re so wet for me.” His pace was relentless as he chased his high. “It’s only for me right?” you bit into his skin again.
“Only for you Namjoon.” that seemed to renew his energy, he kept pushing into you faster and faster. He reached for your clit and began doing sloppy circles. You came almost instantly.
“Squeeze my dick baby, that’s right..” you felt his cum almost instantly.
He was breathing hard against your skin. After a while he slowly put you down.
“You okay?” he asked when you were standing on your own.
“Yeah,” you smiled almost sleepily. “I’m perfect.” you turned around and grabbed the soap and began lathering yourself up.
He did the same, you both showered quietly after that. You had a fluffy robe around your body as you lay down in the bed and saw with satisfaction as he dressed himself. You loved these little moments with him but you knew he was about to be really angry.
“Namjoon?” your voice came out soft almost in a whisper, but he heard it and turned his full attention to you. “Nari is waiting for you downstairs.” You didn’t look at him as you said this. “I am sorry I didn’t tell you before, I got distracted.”
You jumped as you heard his laugh, you turned to him shocked as he was putting his tie on but his body was shaking in laughter. You stayed seated as he approached you still laughing. He bent slightly to catch your lips in a soft kiss.
“Baby, please get distracted more often.” you were staring at him wide eyed, he kissed you again and went back to the mirror to finish doing his tie. “Why don’t you go let her know I’ll be right down.” he winked at you and went back into the bathroom.
You were shocked at his attitude. You would think he would be mad at your actions. And they were selfish. You knew she was going to feel horrible but you didn’t know what got into you in those moments.
You went downstairs and you realized she was going to know. And you felt bad but at the same time you didn’t. When she heard the stairs she stood up immediately. When she saw you, you saw her reaction and you did feel bad for a minute. The words replayed again and the feeling was gone.
“He will be right down.” you said and went straight to the kitchen.
You knew Namjoon was miserable with you but you couldn’t let her see how much you knew. Maybe keeping the fantasy would help you somehow. After a few minutes you heard his voice coming from the living room. You didn’t wanna go outside afraid of the treatment you would get. But Namjoon came inside the kitchen closely followed by Nari.
“Do you have any plans for today Y/N?” he asked directly.
“I might go visit my father, but that is about it.”
He handed you an envelope. “These are your credit cards, if you go to the hospital let Olivia know to proceed with the treatment. I talked to her about it yesterday but I know she wanted to talk to you too. I have a couple of meetings but if you need me to cancel them and go with you to the hospital tell me.”
Nari and you seemed to have the same reaction.
“Namjoon, you can’t cancel those meetings -” he silenced her with a look.
You didn’t want to push but you wanted to know if he would. “I would actually like if you would go with me, there are some things I don’t understand and if you could be there to explain I would really appreciate it.”
He nodded, “Nari make sure Seokjin takes these meetings and if he can’t have Sunjun take over.”
She looked angry more than anything.
“Of course sir.” this was the first time you ever heard her addressing him like that. With anger and completely detached. She left after that, fuming. She didn’t acknowledge your presence at all afterwards.
»»————- ————-««
“We will start the treatment today.” Olivia stated as she moved paperwork around. “His health is delicate but I am hoping this treatment will benefit him.”
Not thinking you grabbed Namjoon’s hand. His head jerked in the direction of your hands and then to you. He squeezed your hand and you glanced at your joint hands missing Olivia’s small smile at the sight.
“Can I see him today?”
“No I would rather you wait a couple of days.” She handed you the papers. “The first couple of days are critical and I would rather him to be as isolated as possible. I promise as soon as I deem it safe I will contact you to come see him.” she promised with a soft smile.
You grabbed the paperwork and scribbled your signature on a couple of them. “What is this?” you asked as you read the top line on one of the sheets.
“Oh sorry, that is a DNR form.” Olivia explained.
“Is that necessary?, I do want extraordinary measures taken.” you said softly still staring at the sheet of paper.
“That is only in case and I don’t think your father is there.” he pulled the sheet of paper from your hands and ripped it. “Olivia did you check the documents before you gave them to her?” his voice sounded slightly angered.
“Sorry Namjoon, I did check them I don’t know how that got mixed up.” she explained.
A phone began ringing and Namjoon reached into his suit to get his phone. He sighed, “One second.” he said rising from his seat and exiting.
You rose as well after staring at his retreating figure, “Thank you for everything Olivia.”
“No problem, I will personally look after your father.” she got up and followed you outside.
You saw Namjoon talking on the phone, his free hand was lodged inside his pocket. You stared at him for a moment.
“I see you guys are getting along better. I am glad.” Olivia spoke, attracting your attention.
She meant you grabbing his hand, “Oh no I don’t know why I did that.” you grabbed on your neck not staring at her. “I just don't know.”
“Listen I know how you feel for my brother -” your head jerked to finally face her and then back to Namjoon. Just in time to see him walking towards you.
“Thank you Olivia, for everything.” you looked at her pleadingly hoping she would not keep on going with the same conversation.
“No problem Y/N.” she hugged you. “We need to have lunch one of these days.”
“Of course.” you agreed.
She turned to Namjoon. “Brother.” she extended her arms. “Always a pleasure.” she muttered against his chest.
“Yeah Olivia, I am sure.”
She chuckled, “Maybe you should listen to me more, you know girls are always right.”
He rolled his eyes. “Sure.” he motioned for you to start walking.
You walked to the parking lot and he opened the door for you. You waited for him to go around and enter the car.
“We need to stop by the office,” he said, “Just a quick stop.” he clarified.
“That’s fine.” you agreed but you dredded this. You knew Nari was the one to call him and you just knew she wanted to see him.
The hospital was close to his company. He didn’t need to park, someone grabbed the keys from him and opened your door. You walked closely behind him until he stopped and waited for you to catch up with him. You both entered the elevator and he pressed the last button.
“It won’t be long I promise.”
“Yes that’s fine.”
When the elevator doors opened he motioned for you to exit first. This was the first time he had ever brought you here. You walked a little slower looking at the sights around you. The elongated windows across the walls and the paintings. You were mesmerized. Namjoon walked a little slower to make sure you weren’t left behind.
As soon as you reached a glass set of doors he opened the door for you and then you saw her. Sitting behind a wooden desk. It was big, she had a computer in front of her and several documents scattered across her desk. As soon as she heard steps her head jerked to look for Namjoon. You were sure she knew it was him. Her smile disappeared when she saw you.
“Namjoon.” she breathed, but her gaze was solely focussed on you.
“What was the emergency Nari?” he asked, almost bored.
“There is a gala.” her tone was unsure.
Namjoon groaned. “That was the emergency?,” his voice rose.
“Yes, Maximilian brought the invitation himself he said he needed to talk to you.”
“Is he still here?”
“Yes inside the conference room.” she was desperate to get him to stay and send you away.
“Y/N?” your head turned to face him. “Can you wait for me in my office, this won’t take long.” it didn’t matter if it did. You would still wait for him.
“I can wait here, it’s not a problem.” he gave you a look. “Or inside your office.” you smiled and went inside his office.
As soon as you were inside Namjoon looked at Nari with a glare. “Don’t you ever call me in for something like this.” without another word he headed into the conference room.
Nari stared after his retreating figure and then towards the office where you waited. As soon as Namjoon entered Maximilian rose from his seat.
“Namjoon.” he greeted with a smile. “So good to see you again.” he reached for a hug that Namjoon returned.
“Maximilian, you should have told me you wanted to talk. Would have made an appointment.”
“I came to deliver an invitation personally and your secretary said she could get you here in no time. Guess she wasn’t lying.”
Namjoon smiled. “What can I do for you?” he asked.
“You can tell me who you walked in here with for starters,” he said.
All humor drained from Namjoon’s face.
“Maximilian I am going to have to ask you to respect my wife.”
“Oh you dog where did you find her?”
“Is this what you wanted to talk to me about?”
“Damn, she is that important to you? Won’t even talk about her.”
“I’m leaving Max.”
“Okay, okay jeez.” he sighed and pulled something from his suit pocket. “This is an invitation to the gala, it’s a charity gala.”
“Did you need something from me specifically?” he grabbed the invitation and opened it.
“We are auctioning weekends.”
Namjoon’s eyebrows scrunched in confusion. “I ask for a property and whoever pays the highest gets to spend a weekend in it. I know you have a house in Hawaii and in Miami. I wanted to know if we could borrow the properties.”
“I see.” he read the first couple of lines of the invitation. “Of course, I will have someone arrange for them to be clean.”
“Knew I could count on you.”
“What other properties have you asked for?” he wondered.
“Uhm, a couple of houses here and there. Did you know Jimin has a castle?”
Namjoon eyed Maximilian and leaned against the leather chair.
“No shit, what for?”
Maximilian chuckled. “My thought was the same. He said he bought it for a princess. Didn’t know the guy was in love. When I asked him who the lucky girl was he just shrugged and changed the subject. But I definitely want to know who this mystery woman is.”
Namjoon didn’t realize he was clenching his fists.
“Anyways, I have to go. I have one more person to see. I’ll see you at the gala.” he stood and after shaking Namjoon’s hand he left the room.
Namjoon rose from his seat still clutching the invitation. It was dented and no longer in pristine conditions. He just knew that Jimin was referring to you, and if he wasn’t such a possessive asshole he might have let it go. He wondered who held your affections. Whether it was Jimin or Yoongi.
He breathed in deeply for a couple of seconds and then proceeded to go find you. When he opened the door he found you staring at a photograph. He knew by the frame which one it was. It was on your wedding day, he was staring at you while you laughed about something. When he had seen it he had found it so corny but for the life of him he couldn’t get over how carefree you looked, you almost looked happy to have married him.
You clutched the frame in your hands and stared at it. Namjoon was smiling while looking at you, you caressed his face through the glass wondering why he was looking at you like that. It was cruel because it was something you couldn’t have and it was being dangled in front of you and you couldn’t do anything about it. You almost smashed the frame in anger mixed with sadness.
“Careful not to mess with my decorations.” you jumped at the sound of his voice.
You placed the frame carefully back on his desk.
“I never saw that picture before.” you said motioning to it.
“Seokjin brought it. He said it gave a good impression to have your significant other picture somewhere.” he was lying through his teeth. But he would never admit that he had skimmed through the pictures and picked that one in particular. Even had Nari find him the perfect frame for it.
You sighed. “Yeah I imagined it was something like that.”
He frowned at that.
“You ready to go?” you nodded and walked away from the desk he spent most of his time on.
“Yeah I am.”
You left the office with him by your side. He made no move to talk to Nari before leaving and you wondered if they had talked already. You hated these thoughts plaguing your mind but you couldn’t help it. You glanced one time at Nari only to catch her staring at Namjoon. The way he looked at him?, that was one more stab to your poor feeble heart.

“I bring news.” Yoongi announced entering your apartment.
“News?” you frowned popping your head from your bedroom. “And how did you got in here?” you asked tying your robe around your body.
“I took the spare from the cabinet, a celebrity like me can’t always be knocking for extended amounts of time ya know?” he explained plopping on your couch.
“Anyways, what news? Did you talk to Aiden?” you asked going into your small kitchen.
“Yeah, he has no idea where you are. No one does.” you sighed in relief and began working around the kitchen. “But, Seokjin was right. He is gambling again.”
You slammed the coffee pot against the counter.
“Damn It!” you muttered. “Is my dad okay?” you called out more forcefully.
“I have no idea, your brother needs help. He needs to be sent to a rehab place or something. He is going to make your dad have another heart attack.”
That attracted your attention, you spun around and went to see Yoongi.
“Another?”
He seemed startled at your reaction, “Oh you didn’t know, he spent a week in the ICU.”
You sat down and rubbed your face. How had everything gone to crap.
“That’s why your brother is currently managing the company.”
It all made sense, of course he lost his mind at the head of everything. And everything at his disposal. Of course he was going to lose his mind.
“Go have lunch with Olivia.” he suggested.
You shook your head, “That’s not an option.”
“Your friend then?, Allison?, Can’t remember what the fuck her name is.”
“Yeah, Allison I’ll set up something with her then.” you went to turn on your phone which had been turned off since you had left.
“And Y/N?” he called for your attention, when you finally looked up as the screen came back to life. “You look malnourished, you’re drained of color and shit try to eat something or take care of yourself better. Everytime I come back you look worse and worse.”
You knew he said it because he cared, but you couldn’t help at the pang in your chest.
“Thanks Yoongi.” you said sarcastically.
Allison was delighted to hear from you. She was probably your only friend throughout everything, still you had never fully talked in full depth about everything. You made plans to eat lunch at your usual place, you tried to find the nicest thing in your closet but failed miserably. Everything you owned was not to go eat at a place like that. You settled for a sweater and a pair of jeans.
“Y/N!, you can’t go that long without talking to me ever again. I called and left messages, Jungkook even called Namjoon but he said you had gone on vacations. Which by looking at you I know it’s a complete lie.” she explained rubbing her swollen belly with a smile.
And for a moment you envied her. She was pregnant. She had married Jungkook at her own accord because they were in love. They had dated for a long time, since forever you remembered them being together.
“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t be with Namjoon any longer it was too much.” you didn’t know if someone had mentioned your miscarriage. She looked apologetic.
“I know sweetie, but if you need help at all you know you can come to us. You look sick.” Exactly what Yoongi had said.
“I just have been not really paying attention to life, it’s my fault.”
“Don’t even defend that man, I don’t know how he didn’t even look for you at all.”
Namjoon. Well shit that stung. You shook your head and looked at her again.
“My dad. I need to know.”
She combed her hair with her fingers and sighed.
“He is very sick Y/N.”
“I didn’t know I swear, I would have come sooner -”
She grabbed your hand in hers. “I know, you don’t have to explain anything to me. Don’t feel like you need to defend yourself. I know the hell you were living.”
“How sick?,”
“The first time it was a heart attack, upon running some tests they realized he has a disease, not sure what kind. But it’s bad. He needs treatments and Aiden is not helping with his gambling.”
You covered your mouth, “Oh God, how could I have been so selfish.”
“It’s okay, if you don’t want to go I can go and see what I can find out.”
Before she could finish you were already shaking your head, “No I have to go see him.”
Allison was quiet and you met her eyes and saw her frown, you followed her line of vision to see Namjoon entering and right next to him Nari. You wondered if they were together. If she was living with him now. You turned your head quickly to focus on something else. He looked absolutely stunning in that dark blue suit. His hair as usual parted to the side.
“Hello Allison,” Nari greeted, slowly she turned to you and looked as if she had seen a ghost. “Y/N.” she uttered your name in disbelief, her eyes flew to Namjoon to see if he had followed her and she tried to backpedal. “Namjoon the guests are already here, we should go.” she tried but Namjoon kept walking to you.
“Allison.” finally after what seemed like forever he turned to you “Y/N.”
“Namjoon the guests are waiting, we should go.” Nari called again but Namjoon didn’t even turn to look at her.
“Tell them to wait, or cancel the meeting.” he wasn’t looking at her. “Allison I need to speak to my wife.”
You gazed at her pleadingly but she could only look back at you apologetically as she rose from her seat. Namjoon took her seat and sat across from you.
“When did you get back?” he asked.
“My father is sick.” you looked up to meet his gaze.
“I know that, everyone does.”
“Well I didn’t. That’s why I hadn’t come back.”
“You were too busy playing dress up.”
You scoffed, “Of course Seokjin told you where I was.”
“He is my brother and yes he would want me to know my wife was embarrassing me.”
“That’s all you care about.”
“What else is there?”
To say it didn’t hurt would be a lie.
“You should be happy, you’re enjoying life with Nari now.”
“That stopped being your business when you decided to walk out of this marriage.”
“I just did it because -” because you were so hurt.
“Namjoon the guests are growing impatient.” Nari’s voice from behind you startled you.
“Ask Seokjin to take this meeting Nari.”
“But Namjoon you are right here.” she argued.
This bickering, they were too close. Unable to take anymore you rose to your feet.
“Please don’t worry, I am leaving.”
“Stay,” with me, Namjoon meant to say.
“No, I need to get going.” you grabbed your stuff and went to meet Allison.
“I’m sorry, but you needed to talk to him.”
“Not really, I am going to see dad.”
“Are you coming back?”
“I don’t know.”
You made your way to your old home, the mansion still looked the same. You had only been gone six months, not much would have changed. You opened the door and didn’t see the maid. You were about to start walking up the stairs when Aiden startled you.
“Look at you with your ratty clothes.” he sounded amused.
“Aiden.”
You hugged him but he reeked of alcohol.
“Why are you doing this?” he seemed startled at your question. “Aiden, you are throwing your life away gambling and drinking.”
“Not you too.” he groaned letting go of you.
“Who else is there?”
“Dad he won’t fucking shut up about it but I am okay, I will be okay. I just need to win-”
“Stop it!, dad is sick.”
“Oh you knew about that cause you practically disappeared from the face of the earth, dad was in the hospital for a week and where were you?” he was right, you were gone.
“But I am here now.” your lame reply had him softening.
“Yeah, you better change into something else. He sees you like that instant heart attack.” he turned to walk.
“You better shower before you go anywhere or instant DUI.” he didn’t acknowledge your comment and walked away.
You went to your room and took a shower. You changed into some clothes you had left behind and went to see your dad. You opened the door to his room and almost gasped. The room was dark, and the only sounds were the sounds made by the various machines stuck to your father. There was a nurse writing something on a pad, when you walked she raised her view to see you.
“He just fell asleep.” she mumbled.
She took you outside, “He has been restless, the medication is not working as well anymore. Soon we will have to transfer him to a medical facility, he is getting worse by the day.” Tears pricked your eyes but did your best to hide your trembling.
“I will look into that.” without another word you left.
You went back to your apartment where you discarded everything. You held a tequila bottle close to your chest and took occasional gulps when the guilt got too much. You sat on your couch and just wondered how in the world, things had gotten so much worse.
You heard your door click but didn’t care enough to look. Yoongi rounded the corner and looked at you surprised at the bottle in your hands.
“Tequila?, really?” he questioned.
“It feels like a tequila night. So you can judge me tomorrow when I throw my guts up.” you took another gulp. Your makeup was a mess, your mascara had successfully ran. And everything was a mess.
“I am not judging you. I just take it shit did not go right?”
“Nope, while I have been hiding like a fucking coward my dad has been dying a slow painful death while my idiot of a brother is gambling and drinking his life away.” you chuckled darkly. “We are the most fucked up pair of kids my dad could get.”
“Don’t say that. You went through something really bad. You needed to get yourself together.”
Another gulp. “Did I? Cause I just feel more fucked up than in the beginning.”
“Drink that bottle if you want. Let it out, because I know you have decided to go back.”
You began sobbing then.
You couldn’t stand the thought of seeing Namjoon again. It was too much to see him so familiarized with Nari.
The next day with a pounding headache you gathered what little belongings you had and left, you went back to your father’s home. This no longer felt like where you belonged. You stuffed your clothes into the drawers and went to shower. You didn’t know where to begin. But first thing you did was go to your father’s company.
“Y/N?” a soft voice called.
You turned around and spotted him.
“Jimin.” he hugged you.
“I knew it was you, long time no see.”
Your smile faltered, but his didn’t it was so bright.
“Yeah, I came to see my brother and I know my dad is sick. I just .. I want to fix things around here and who knows maybe I’ll fix mine too.”
“If you need any help at all I am here, anything you need really.”
“Thank you I really appreciate it Jimin. I’ll keep it in mind.”
He hugged you one last time and left. You went to find your brother to find him in your dad’s office.
“I know that I was gone but I have requested a meeting with our lawyer to discuss the finances of the company.”
He scoffed, “You got nothing to do here little sister, go back to your husband and leave us alone.”
“Dad is dying Aiden, he needs treatment and he can’t get it if you are throwing out money like a fucking brat!”
He slammed his fist on the desk, a cup fell to the floor shattering. The smell of alcohol impregnated the space immediately.
“You’re drinking?! Are you serious it’s ten in the morning Aiden!”
He turned away.
“Accept your problem and get help or so help me God I will kick you out of this company however way I can.” you grabbed your purse and slammed the door after you.
You called Jimin to meet the lawyer. And everything was disastrous as you had thought. Your father’s company was on the brink of bankruptcy again, it was in the same state if not worse to what it had been when you had married Namjoon. The lawyer left after explaining everything.
You held your tears at bay and Jimin noticed.
“Hey I want to help you guys. Or at least your father, even if you can’t save the company you should try for your father.”
You stared at the cup of water in front of you and you couldn’t help but shake in anger.
“What if I buy the company, convince my dad to merge or something. I know we can come up with something.” he tried to reason.
“I am just so angry, how could my brother let this happen.”
He grabbed your hand. “Listen, first you need to get your brother out of the main chair. Stockholders are going to get nervous if they know he is gambling their money away.”
“I know, I just…. Thank you Jimin I appreciate so much what you are doing.”
“Anything Y/N, I’d do anything for you.”
You were about to say something when you felt a shadow next to you. You looked up to see Namjoon and Nari standing next to each other.
“Hello Y/N, Jimin.” Nari stretched her hand out for Jimin and he shook it. “Wow you guys look great together.” she commented.
Jimin stared at Namjoon and saw the clench of his jaw at her comment.
“Go tell Seokjin I’ll be there shortly.” he barked. Nari seemed startled at the tone in his voice and left without another word. “Jimin I must speak to my wife, will you excuse us?”
You were about to argue when he pulled you out of your seat and led you to a secluded part of the restaurant.
“Don’t you think it’s wrong for you to be showing yourself with that man?”
“I was just talking to him, he offered to help with my current problem.”
“I am never giving you a divorce did you hear me?” he said through gritted teeth.
“Who said I have to marry him?”
He lost all sanity then and grabbed the back of your neck and pulled you to meet his lips. You were shocked at first, but you gave into his assault.
“Listen to me wife. If you ever get close to Jimin ever again, I will destroy your father’s company before he can even get close to that chair.” he whispered against your lips.
“Why?, you could be free to marry Nari. Isn’t that what you want?”
He chuckled. “No one tells me what to do.” he let go of you and began walking away.
“You’re acting like a child.” he stopped at your words and then turned around causing you to jump.
“I’ll help.” he offered.
You eyed him curiously.
“Why?”
“Call it whatever you want, I won’t ask again.” He walked away after that.
Jimin drove you back home, but before he left he kissed your cheek.
“We never had a chance to really go out. I hope we might now.”
“It’s not fair to you Jimin. I don’t want to use you. You are so kind but I am still married.”
“I know you are still married to him, but you are separated. I can help you forget it you’ll let me.” he offered.
He left after that. The love you felt for Namjoon was deeply rooted. In your bones and you could not for the life of you understand why you could not get over him. It was later that day that you received a call from Seokjin.
“Hello Old Lady.” you greeted into the receiver only to be met with a loud laugh.
“Now why would you say that?”
“Didn’t you tell Namjoon you saw me working, even after I begged you not to? You just had to go tell on me like a gossipy old lady”
“He didn’t go look for you now did he?,” well shit he was right. “I am calling as a lawyer today little sister, sorry.”
Your heart stopped. Had Namjoon finally decided to divorce you.
“My brother has decided to pay any expenses related to your father’s illness. I have spoken to Olivia to coordinate the transfer to Mount Sinai Hospital. I am required to talk to you about the date of this event.” His voice sounded so firm and distant.
“Why is he doing this Seokjin?, be honest please.” you pleaded, but no matter how much he cared about you, Namjoon was his brother by blood. His loyalties would always be to him.
“He said it was charity.”
You shouldn’t have asked. You shouldn’t have asked.
“Uhm, tell Namjoon thank you but no. I’ll find another way.” you ended the call.
You wish you could have held the tears that spilled across your cheeks. Or the way your body shook violently.
You went to check on your dad and he seemed to be having trouble breathing. Apparently it was about that time, to take him to the hospital. The way to the hospital was agonizing not knowing if he was going to make the trip.
“Hey.” Allison greeted with a coffee in her hand. “I came as soon as I could.”
You leaned against your knees as tears fell.
“I was trying to remember the last time I had a conversation with him and I can’t remember. He might die and I can’t even remember what was the last thing I said to him.” you covered your face with your hands as Allison rubbed your back.
“Y/N?” you lifted your gaze to see Olivia. “I thought that was your dad.” she approached you then. “Jin told me that you guys decided to transfer him here, and I am glad my brother finally -”
“I denied his request Olivia.”
“Oh.”
“We had to bring him because he wasn’t breathing properly but I am footing the bill.”
“Y/N -” Allison started but you just shot her a look that stopped her.
“I’ll still keep an eye on him.” she walked away then.
“Are you still in love with him?”
“I don’t think I know how to not be in love with him.”
You stayed in the hospital for most of the day. It was around midnight when your brother finally appeared. And he looked drunk as hell.
“Where is dad?” he asked hysterically.
“He is in observation, we can’t see him until tomorrow.” you answered quietly. “Aiden I was not joking this morning, get help.” you mumbled.
“This isn’t -”
“You’re drunk!” you rose from the seat. “You think I can’t tell you have been drinking probably all day! How stupid do you think I am.”
“I know of a place you can go Aiden.” Allison spoke from her seat. “I can give you the information but you need to get checked in as soon as possible.” Before your father dies was the unspoken sentence.
It was almost morning, you could tell by the way it looked brighter outside.
You reached for your cup only to find it empty. You didn’t feel like getting up so you leaned against your chair, you felt your stiff muscles complain but all you could do was stretch.
Aiden had left with Allison. She took him to get checked into rehab. You waited patiently for the doctor to tell you you could see your dad but he was nowhere in sight.
“You look even worse today.” Yoongi said attracting your attention. He held another cup of coffee.
“My knight in shining armour,” you said sarcastically as he handed you the coffee.
“I swear one of these days I am not going to show up to save you. Just to keep things interesting.” you waved him away.
“Yeah yeah, one of these days Hoseok is going to leave your sorry ass for always trying to be a good friend.”
“I dare him to try and find someone better than me.”
You sipped on the coffee smiling, “Is he back from tour?”
Yoongi shook his head. “California is his last stop, then he comes back home.”
No one knew they were together, the only relation that anyone knew about was musician - producer. Hoseok was a famous rapper, he was constantly on tour with women being shoved in his direction.
“Have they let you see him?” you shook your head, “How long since they have been working on him?”
“Yesterday I want to say noon but at this point I think I lost the essence of time, you know?” you leaned against his shoulder and closed your eyes. “I swear I could pass out right now if only I wasn’t so worried.”
“I get you, but sleep and I’ll wake you if the doctor comes.” you made a sound half saying no half yes and kept your eyes closed.
“Yes Namjoon he got admitted like an hour ago.” Olivia called Namjoon because she couldn’t stand how broken you looked in that waiting area.
“I told Seokjin to transfer him.” he answered coldly.
“The only reason he was brought in was because he had difficulty breathing. Y/N said she was footing the bill.”
“How?, she doesn’t have any money?”
“She might not have money but trust me when I say benefactors are just waiting for her to say the word.” she hung up after that. She hated how detached her brother acted. She knew Namjoon had to have feelings for you, at least a little.
She remembered how desperate he had been when you were in the hospital. He showed up like a crazed man not listening to anything. All he wanted to do was to see you.
To say Namjoon was enraged was putting it mildly. After his sister hung up he knew she was right. You had just come back and Jimin was all over you offering you everything. He hated them. He would not let anyone take you away from him, you were his wife. And you would remain, ‘till death do us part’ you had both vowed.
He was away on some conference, but he took it to find the first flight back home. He had to make sure you were alright. First thing in the morning, he made his way to the hospital, and what he found had him clenching his fists.
You were leaning against Yoongi’s shoulder as he scrolled through his phone. He knew you and Yoongi were friends, always had been but he didn’t know you had kept in contact with him. He leaned against your head and said something that had you smiling with your eyes closed. And that enraged him even more.
He took more deliberate steps towards you, his steps attracted Yoongi’s attention, and the fucker smirked and turned back to his phone.
“Hello.” his voice had your eyes popping open.
“Namjoon, what are you doing here?” your voice sounded groggy.
“I heard your father was in the hospital and I wanted to come and see if you or him needed anything.”
That was new. He was acting like he actually cared.
“She doesn’t need anything, I am here to help her already.” Yoongi interrupted before you could say something.
You jerked to face him in shock.
“She is my wife, and I will take care of any of her needs.”
“Yeah, but it’s for her father. I doubt you will want to help again.”
“Stop, I am literally right here.”
“She is my wife.” he repeated. “I will take care of it, if you will excuse us I need to speak to her.” he was looking at you expectantly.
“Yoongi give us a minute please.” you pleaded.
He nodded and rose from his seat.
“I’ll go get something to eat.” he looked at Namjoon and smiled before leaving.
“Don’t you think it’s undecent of you to be parading around with all these men?”
“Ugh give me a break Namjoon, you go everywhere with Nari. When I tried to say something about it you said it was none of my business.”
He seemed to consider something but then shook his head.
“I said I would help you. And I will. I’ll let Olivia know.” he started to walk away.
“I don’t want your charity.” you said.
He stopped and turned around. “It’s not charity, you are my wife. Everything that is mine is yours you know that.” he had never said nothing of the sort and it startled you. “That is if you decide to come back to me.”
There it was, the catch.
“Why would you want me to come back. You already filled in my position I am sure.”
“Y/N, you are my wife. No one will ever take that position.”
“I don’t know.” you mumbled because you weren’t sure if you were ready to go back to him.
“Go back to the condo, while you decide what you want to do. I don’t live there anymore.”
Namjoon left after that. You were supposed to think about it. You weren’t even sure if you should go back to the place where once upon a time was your home with Namjoon. Everything hurt so much. You went to check it, because you always thought that Nari had moved in as soon as you left. But apparently not even Namjoon was living there no more.
You approached the door with a heavy heart, you tried to remember happy moments with Namjoon. They were a few, but there were happy memories. You remembered the time you sprained your ankle he had carried you till he reached the bed. And for a moment he had seemed as if he cared.
You entered the Condo and locked the door after yourself. Everything looked the same, the place looked untouched, impeccable. You looked around almost trying to find something out of place, something that gave you a sign that, that woman had been in here. At the end of your relationship you didn’t share a bedroom with Namjoon but there were still the nights that you would crave that physical relationship and went looking for him. You feared he would deny you but he never did. You entered his bedroom and saw the bed made but the closet was half empty.
Finally you went into your bedroom to find everything exactly how you had left it. The closet was closed. There was a part of your bed unmade. Not even the maid had fixed it. You went inside the bathroom and your belongings were still there. Everything from your toothbrush to your favorite towel was still there.
You had half expected Namjoon to throw all of your crap out, but he hadn’t maybe that’s why he had left. You pulled your phone and dialed Namjoon’s number.
“Kim Namjoon’s office.” Nari’s indistinguishable voice filtered through the receiver.
“Uhm can I speak with Namjoon please?”
There was a pause and you just knew she was considering hanging up.
“It’s important.” you added hoping she would just put you through.
You heard a click and you just knew she hand hung up. “That bitch.” you muttered, you were about to hang up when you heard it.
“This is Kim Namjoon.” His voice was enough to have your knees weak.
“Uhm it’s me.”
“Y/N.” that was all he said. He was not going to make this easy.
“Can I… can we… I mean I need to talk to you.”
“I’ll be there in thirty minutes.”
“It can wait for another day really you don’t -”
“I’ll see you in half an hour.” he hung up after that.
You stared at the screen on your phone. Half wanting to call back and take it back.
You hadn’t showered and decided to take a shower and wait for Namjoon. You took your time, and were trying to decide what to wear when you heard a noise outside. Fear gripped you and you didn’t remember if you had locked the door.
You opened the door to your room and Namjoon stood there in a gray suit, looking as perfect as always.
“You scared me!” you screeched.
He smiled, his set of dimples in full display. You couldn’t remember the last time he smiled like that.
“Maybe make sure you are locking the front door?” he suggested, you tried to go outside but he pushed his way inside.
“I was -” you stopped as he went to sit comfortably on your bed.
“What did you want to talk about?”
“I just thought we could, outside.. In the living room.”
“What’s wrong with in here?”
“I just, can you please not be difficult and go outside while I change?”
He smiled again and that almost made your knees buckle. You were so weak when it came to him.
“We can talk here.” he got off the bed and walked towards you, your back hit the wall and you were caged by his frame. You could feel his heat. He leaned in almost kissing you, “I promise to be on my best behavior.” he pecked your lips once, twice. He did it slowly as if giving you a chance to push him away, but you didn’t you pulled him closer.
You were starving for anything that Namjoon could give you. At this point you didn’t have his love but you craved any interaction with him, you missed him so much. So when he kissed you fully, you responded the same way he was kissing you. His hands reached your ass and kept going to the back of your thighs were he pulled and made you wrap them around his waist. You didn’t want to stop kissing him, you were afraid he would come to his senses.
He laid you on the bed and continued to kiss you, he began trailing kisses on your jaw and neck. You moaned when he reached your neck, and felt his clothed bulge grind against your core.
“God, I missed you.” he muttered against your skin trailing kisses wherever he could.
“Take it off.” you moaned pushing his blazer off him.
He lifted from you and all but ripped it off him followed by his shirt and pants. You stared at his naked torso and felt your mouth water at the sight. He went back to kissing you and grinding against you. He took your robe off you and continued to kiss you. He began trailing kisses until he reached your right breast and began nipping it. He sucked on your nipple eliciting a moan from you.
“Namjoon, pleaseee.” you moaned.
“What baby?, what do you need?” he sucked again, “You have to tell me.”
“Namjoon please fuck me.” you begged.
He growled at your words, his lips crashed against yours and his fingers grazed your slit. “Fuck you’re so fucking wet.” he groaned against your lips. “I can just sink my cock right.”
You nodded quickly, “Yes please..” you said out of breath.
“Please what?” he asked, he sucked on your bottom lip.
“Daddy please fuck meeee..”
He lowered his briefs and his dick sprung out. The tip was an angry red and leaking with precum. “You want it?” he asked slapping your clit with his dick. He rubbed the tip against your pussy lips collecting your juices. “Gotta say it baby girl.”
“Yes daddy I need it so baaaadd.” you whined when you felt his tip at your entrance and you squeezed your eyes shut at the sensation, he stopped and your eyes flew open.
“Look at me, I need you to look at me. If you close your eyes I stop. Understood?” you nodded furiously and he pushed his entire length inside you causing a moan near scream to tear from you. He kissed your neck and cheek, “Fuck you feel so good, you’re so tight.” he moaned against your skin.
“Move Namjoon, please move.” he began thrusting at a slow pace, you wrapped your legs around his waist to encourage him to go deeper.
“Your pussy is so good sucking me back in every time.” you followed his trail of vision and he was staring at how his dick disappeared inside you. He seemed enthralled going at a steady pace.
“Joonie?” you whined you rarely called him that, but when you did he never commented on it. This time however it seemed to trigger something inside him, his eyes turned to you. They were dark with lust and they seemed predatory, like if he wanted to devour you and you’d let him. You would let him do anything he wanted with you.
“Tell me there hasn’t been anyone.” he demanded slamming his hips harder. “Tell me I’m the only one that gets this.”
“Fuuck.” you moaned as he began pounding you with such force the headboard was slamming against the wall. “Yees Namjoon it’s only you.. Fuck .. please..” you groaned as his pace became brutal, he buried his face on your neck and began sucking on the tender skin.
“Again.” he growled against your skin.
“Yours I am yours Namjoon!” you screamed.
“Cum baby come on, cum all over my cock like a good girl.” he began rubbing circles over your clit, that combined with his words threw you over the edge and you almost screamed at the intensity of all. “That’s right squeeze me baby.” he whimpered as you felt his dick pulsating inside of you.
You both stayed like that trying to catch your breath. For some reason he refused to pull his dick out.
“Namjoon?” his face was still buried on your neck.
“Mmmmmhh” he moaned.
“You’re squishing me.”
“Let me stay like this a little and then I’ll move.” his voice sounded soft, almost caring.
You could not deny him anything, you would let him stay there as long as he wanted. It wasn’t that long when he was moving off you.
“Let’s shower, come on.” he said standing up and pulling you with him.
You felt like in a dream, Namjoon lathered you up almost lovingly. You showered and there was only one towel, he handed it to you and left to fetch one for himself. He walked around naked looking through your drawers for a clean towel.
That seemed comical almost and you couldn’t help the giggle that escaped you.
“Don’t laugh at it.” he complained.
“I’m not sorry,” you stood up and went into your closet to open a drawer with clean towels.
“You knew where they were and you didn’t tell me?, now that is just rude.”
“Anything to have your naked butt walking around my room.” you stopped and turned to look at him to see him eyeing you curiously. “Sorry.” you tried to backpedal.
“Did you reach a decision?” he asked seriously. You could tell the mood instantly shifted after that question.
“Uhm, yeah. I’ll come back. I was wondering what this will mean for us?”
“I don’t understand what you mean?”
“Am I coming back as your plus one to events and functions or to actually be your wife?”
“That is entirely up to you, wife.”
“Look I know that you weren’t waiting for me to come back, you were probably enjoying what little time you had with Nari -”
“Stop, I have never given you reason to believe that I had something to do with her.”
“Only you showing up everywhere with her!”
“She is my secretary she has to.” he was too calm and you were losing what little sanity you had left.
“Namjoon, you were taking her on business trips.” you argued.
“Like I said she is my secretary.”
“What a good secretary.” the sarcasm in your voice had him rolling his eyes.
“Listen what do you want from me?” he pinched the bridge of his nose.
I want you to love me, you thought to yourself.
“Just, I don’t know Namjoon. Is this a business transaction to you?”
“Aren’t they always when you are involved?”
You covered your mouth to prevent the gasp you let out to be too notorious. You felt tears prick your eyes. You turned around refusing to show him how much his words had affected you.
“Then tell me what you want. How long do you need me to stay with you?”
“Until I get tired of it I suppose.”
“Can you give me a timeline, or you are playing this by ear?”
“Let’s put it this way, when you no longer need my money.” you stayed quiet and quickly cleaned the tears that managed to spill. “I need an answer.” you jumped at his proximity and moved away from him.
“Yes.”
“Good, grab whatever you need from here. I bought a house you will be moving in there with me. If you don’t want anything from here that’s okay you can buy whatever you want when you go back.”
“Okay.” you mumbled.
“We leave in twenty minutes. I’ll go grab something from my closet to change.”
As soon as the door clicked you burst into tears and buried your face in your hands to stop the violent sobs that were violently shaking your body to be heard by anyone.

Rating: R
Beta: None. I’ve been out of the game for so long, I no longer even have people to ask to beta.
Summary: General Kim Namjoon, was going to get exactly what he has always wanted, no matter what.
Pairing: Namjoon/Female OC. (will add if anything else crawls out of my brain)
Notes: This is my first ever BTS/Band fic. I’ve been out of the fic game for a long time, and it seems that the new thing is “band member/Reader” fics…..but I can’t seem to want to write that, so instead I am going with the good old, time honored OC. This is an AU fic, with hybrids. I don’t really even know where this came from, but it has been rolling around in my mind for a while now, so I finally got up the courage to write and post it Plus, @gimmesumsuga has a wonderful story that has dark!namjoon- so I think that is what set me off.. @bang-tan-bitch I finally am getting up the nerve to @ you. I briefly did so when you guys did your week full of recs etc... but then got scared and took it down. Would love if you guys read my story, also understand if you don't want to, or don't have the time.
Feedback: Yes please. Constructive criticism is wonderful.

Kim Namjoon let himself take in the surroundings before fully stepping into the room. The hotel restaurant, was one of the best, usually taking months to get a reservation. When the management was told that he would need to meet a party there today at 7pm, they happily cancelled everyone to book him. When the head assassin wanted something, he got it. Of course, Head Assassin was not his official title. No, when the war ended, and his side won, he got a new fancy title and started being the poster boy, albeit the scary one, for the new military. Gone were the days that he was the ghost in the night that no one could actually identify; now his face was one that everyone knew.
“I believe your party is already here, General. We put them in a private room.” The jittery hotel manager stated, standing just behind Namjoon’s entourage.
“You may leave.” Namjoon said, as he made his way into the room. The manager already relegated to bothersome background noise. Namjoon knew where his target was.
“`
Lee Ji-Soo had given up on sitting in her chair. She took to pacing around the room, much to her mother’s annoyance. She already felt like she was trapped in a cage. An expensive cage, but a cage none the less. It was taking all her willpower to not throw open the doors and run out of the restaurant as fast as her feet could carry her.
“Please come sit.” Her mother’s soft plea made her look up from where she was staring at the floor and muttering. Still a beautiful woman, her mother sat almost regally on one side of the table. Dressed in black, and looking oh so tired. Ji-Soo could see her hands clamped together, turning white with loss of blood.
“It will be fine, Mother.” Ji-Soo wrapped her own hands around hers, and started rubbing some warmth back into them. “I mean, it isn’t like we don’t know him…I mean we grew up together, kind of.” With that ridiculous statement, and probably due to the tense situation they had both been in for days- months really, the two women looked at each other and started laughing.
“Yeah, be sure to bring up his childhood, I am sure that will work in our favor.” Her mother’s laugh took on a clearly hysterical pitch, and suddenly she was crying. They both were. This was how Namjoon found them as he entered the room. Both women wrapped up in each other’s arms, laughing and crying. Both telling each other to, ‘stop it, it will be fine’.
Two sets of eyes widened as they finally took notice that he and his men had come into the room. Both women stopped dead, and just stared at him mouths hanging open. Ji-Soo’s mother being the first to gain back her senses. She cleared her throat and stood looking Namjoon straight in the eyes. He gave her points for still having courage to do so.
“General Kim.” She said with a slight bow, and then gestured for him to take a seat. Ji-Soo had also come to her feet when her mother did, and even gave a sort of a bow, but Namjoon could see that she was somewhat shell-shocked right at this moment.
Namjoon sat, with two of his staff members taking seats next to him, while the other four set up what could only be called a perimeter around the room. For a moment both sides of the table just stared at each other, until finally Namjoon shook his head, letting his subordinates know that he was ready.
“We are here today, to finalize the marriage contract between the Kim and Lee family. In accordance to the wills of both heads of family.”
“That contract was for Jisung and me…” Ji-Soo interrupted, and then plastered on her best fake smile. “It would be nice for us to know to whom we are speaking to right now.” Finally having the courage to look Namjoon in the eyes, Ji-Soo was taken back to see how dark and merciless they seemed. She was glad to look away, after he gave a tight nod, and the other man started talking again.
“You may call me Jin. I am the General’s legal advisor.” Jin then went around the room introducing the other men. All of them were gorgeous, and deadly. Then again, all of their kind were. Gorgeous, that is, and deadly. They were hybrids. Half human, half demon. Bred for centuries to do what the government had wanted them to do. Every hybrid was fast, smart, and totally loyal, or at least that was what the government thought. The higher-ups had put in place a training for each hybrid that was “fool-proof”. Boy were they wrong. No one saw it though, not for centuries. The governments horrible little plan had worked. Noble families each bred a hybrid. They were part of the family, but not. Ji-Soo knew that they faced brutality within their so-called family and then at puberty were shipped off to the government training school. There they suffered even more horrors, Ji-Soo was sure. Only now that the old government was gone, was it all coming to light.
“Like my daughter pointed out. The old contract between my husband and the General’s f-father,” Ji-Soo’s mother only hesitated on that word a bit, after throwing Namjoon a quick glance to see how he would take that title given to the man who raised him. “was meant for Kim Jisung and my daughter, not the General.”
“Maybe that was the intent, but the men did not actually state any names. Just that the marriage was to take place between the two families. Now that the General is the only one left of the Kim family, it is to him that your daughter will be married. Per the will. Per the laws that there must always be a head of family for each noble house.”
“Meaning, that since my husband has now passed away. My family no longer has a head of house.”
“Correct”. Jin gave a slight smile to the older woman. “Further, since your family no longer has a head of house, it is actually a saving grace that the Lee and Kim family had this pact in place.”
Jin didn’t go into further detail about that. He didn’t need to. Everyone in the room knew what happened to unprotected families. The highest bidder won.
“What if my daughter can find someone else to fill the role of head of house? I am sure that the General would rather find a more fitting family to align his with, one with more stature- “
“No.” Namjoon’s voice was quiet, but no one in the room had any trouble hearing him. “My family felt it best to join with yours, so I will do so.”
“Your family that you despised? Your family that you killed?” Ji-Soo was speaking before her brain could catch up. “You can’t possibly want to marry me! Especially if they wanted it!”
Ji-Soo’s mother gave her arm a little shake, and then gave an airy laugh. “Forgive my daughter, she doesn’t know what she is talking about. She is just overwhelmed.”
Ji-Soo felt flushed, but oddly proud after her statement. Namjoon had locked his eyes on her during the whole outburst. Even still he hadn’t looked away. Hadn’t seemed at all phased, even when she accused him of killing the rest of the Kim family. It was common knowledge that the massacre that happened at the Kim property, only 2 miles away from her own, was done on Namjoon’s order, if not carried out by himself. The only ones left alive, were servants who had never been at the home when Namjoon had.
“As to stature,” Namjoon finally looked away from Ji-Soo and spoke directly to her mother. “Your family is currently of the highest stature left to the noble families, as you never took part in the hybrid program.”
Ji-Soo held back a snort at that, realizing that she was probably close to a break-down with how she was acting. Imagine, the one thing that had the old noble families sneering at her father and mother, was now their saving grace. The Lee family stood firm, for centuries about the hybrid program. They did not participate. During the old regime, they were at the lowest stature due to this… now it seemed they had come up roses. Again, Ji-Soo held back an insane giggle and tried to pay attention to what was being said.
“Now that the General has put your fears to rest, of him not finding your family adequate, let us proceed- “
“I need to use the ladies room.” Ji-Soo abruptly stood and started making her way towards the door, not caring that she interrupted, or that her mother was trying to catch her hand. She had to get out. The room was closing in on her. Coming to the door, she looked up at the hybrid manning the door. “Excuse me, please.” After a beat where he didn’t move, she jerked her head towards Namjoon. His dark eyes bore into hers again, making the panic that she was already feeling, grow. Finally, he gave a nod, and the hybrid opened the door. Forcing herself not to run, she tried to remember where the restrooms were. Turning to go the opposite way, she almost rammed into the hybrid who had been at the door.
“Son of a- you scared me!” holding a hand over her heart, Ji-Soo frantically backed up a few steps. “I didn’t hear you.” Taking a breath to compose herself, she tried to keep the anger out of her voice. “Why are you here?” So far none of Namjoon’s fellow hybrids had said a single thing except Jin. She wasn’t even sure she remembered this ones name.
“The General wanted me to make sure you found your way.” He said, and then gestured towards where the bathroom must be.
“Tell Namjoon that I am not going to run away! Where would I go? Plus, my mother is still in there.” Ji-soo saw his mouth tense a bit when she didn’t call Namjoon by his title, and in a very crazy way, she liked that she was pushing his buttons. It oddly made her feel a bit less panicked.
“This way, please.” He again started gesturing towards the hallway.
Sighing, Ji-soo started walking, realizing, and trying to not let it freak her out more, that this was going to be her life now. At Namjoon’s whim. “What was your name again?” Ji-Soo asked, right before going into the bathroom.
“Jimin.”
“Well Jimin, good work. You didn’t allow me to run away. Maybe Namjoon will pat you on the head or something.” Ji-Soo shut the door in his face. She knew it didn’t actually accomplish anything, but being a bitch made her feel just a bit better. She even had an insane notion of refusing to come out of the bathroom, just to see what would happen. Looking at herself in the mirror, the slight smile she had at that thought, fell off her face. What was she thinking? Nothing she did would change anything. Plus, did she really want Namjoon to have to actually come and take care of something himself? Remembering his cold dark eyes, she shivered. She wasn’t dumb, she knew that Jimin was just as deadly as Namjoon, but somehow the thought of the General coming to make her stop being childish was almost terrifying. Gone was the sad, and lonely child that she tried to play with and sometimes give treats to when no one was watching. Now, he was just The General.
”`
“So General, is she to be your wife. Or your revenge?” The room tensed at the older woman’s audacity, but Namjoon just had a slight smile as he leaned forward to speak with her.
“Does it matter? Even if you know, you could do nothing to stop me.”
Ji-Soo’s mother did not waver as they stared at each other. Namjoon gave her credit. Even other hybrids could not look him square in the face for long.
“Probably a bit of both.” Namjoon almost felt a bit of remorse when her face paled. “More so wife, though. I need an heir after all.”
“Then I ask that you try to remember that the Lee household has always been against what happened to your kind, and that my daughter actually tried to befriend you when you were young.”
Namjoon held up his hand to stop the older woman from continuing on. He did not want to listen to or be reminded about his childhood. Narrowing his eyes, he felt a tiny bit of satisfaction when she slightly shrank in her seat. He had no need to terrorize the women, but he wanted to make sure that she knew, he was no longer that child. He was in charge now.
“The only reason your family is alive, is because of those facts.”
Ji-Soo’s mother took the hint and dropped the subject, remembering that all other people who had known Namjoon as a child were no longer living.
The door opened, and Ji-Soo walked back in, taking her place at her mother’s side. Both women as calm and collected as they could be under the General’s watchful eyes.
“Please continue,” she looked towards Jin, “the sooner we can get through all the legality the better.”
“`
“I would like to speak to Ji-Soo, alone. Jungkook, escort my mother-in-law to the car.”
Ji-Soo felt her stomach drop. They had just finished signing the paperwork, when Namjoon spoke. Briefly she thought about clutching to her mother and demanding that she stay, but in the long run she knew it would do no good. Giving each other a brief hug, the hybrid who must be Jungkook ushered her mother out the door, all the other hybrids following.
They were alone.
“Now what? You throw me down on the table and rape me?” Ji-Soo didn’t know what in the hell she was saying, and almost immediately wanted to take it back. She could never stop and think before talking, especially now when it felt like she was about to lose her mind with worry.
Namjoon just tilted his head to the side, his eyes becoming darker. “Not the plan.”
Swallowing hard, Ji-Soo stared at the man with wide eyes. Like all of his kind, he was incredibly handsome. Tall, well built, and had the face of an angel. Every hair was in place, and his suit fit like second skin. The way he stared at her was unnerving, like she was a new toy and he was deciding if he was going to play with it or brake it.
“What is the current plan, then?” Ji-Soo finally got out, feeling like she was about to scream if the silence wasn’t broken.
A dangerous smile formed on his lips, and it affected her more than she would care to admit. His lips were full, and looked to be soft, and Ji-Soo was cursing herself for even noticing something like that. He was a cold-blooded murderer. He came to his feet, and she jumped to hers. An even bigger smile formed on his face, and she knew she had really lost it, when she took time to notice his dimples.
“My plan involves getting to know each other again.” Namjoon stalked towards her, as she backed away from him, trying to head towards the door. Just as her hand reached the door knob, his larger hand pushed against the door, effectively stopping her from opening it. Still she pulled a couple of times for good measure, hating how he was now smirking at her.
“Where exactly do you think you can go, Kitten?” Namjoon rasped in her ear, causing her to jerk away from him and the door. Breathing hard, she took a few steps away from him. He in turn crossed his arms and leaned against the door, watching her with his fathomless eyes.
“Fine, you want to catch up?” Ji-Soo blurted out, angry. Angry at him, angry at the situation, angry at herself. “So how was it, killing your own family?” She saw him tense, but she was too far gone. “How was it killing the man I love? Jisung, the one I should be marrying?”
He moved so fast, she didn’t even have time to scream. One arm wrapping around her waist as he hauled her up against him, his other arm winding around the back of her neck forcing her face up. His face hard and cruel above her.
“You are mine.” His voice low, and guttural. His eyes flashing red. Pulling her even closer. “MINE!”
After a beat, he stepped back. She sank to the floor as he stormed out of the room. She couldn’t hear what he said to his men over her harsh breathing and the pounding of her heart. Looking up, she saw that Jimin had re-entered the room and was now standing at the door. Even in her terror, she wanted to laugh…here Jimin was again, making sure she didn’t run away. But like Namjoon already pointed out, where the hell did they think she could go?
