Me learning manipulation tactics I needed to be able to recognize and then realizing that I had indeed gotten gaslighted by my own supposedly best friends in sixth grade 💀💀💀
Again, these are the two friends who had normalized inappropriate things and made me slightly homophobic. So anyways they loved making adult jokes with each other, and when I asked what they meant (for example a mangosteen, even tho I still don't get it) they would feign innocence and be all offended like, "Bro what are you talking abt, it's just a mangosteen! Can't we laugh at a fruit???" I know how to read ppl so I argued, but they kept denying it and type shit.
It's not like they did this only once, but at least 6 times that yr. I used to trust myself and stuff but now I can't even be sure of the simplest things, like if a teacher told me to inform my classmates that we were going to the library at 10, I would literally think that I heard it wrong and doubt myself to the point where I just can't complete tasks similar to that.
I know they (my "best" friends) were making adult jokes but ever since that yr I just can't trust what my instincts say and it sucks so fucking bad.
Yea I can't believe that I've never heard of that term until this yr (even tho it's been around since the 1900's) what am I doing with my life 💔
The most dangerous yanderes are patient, methodical, and malignant. They know exactly what they are doing.
Your yandere is exactly like this.
He first met you at work. A new recruit with a chip on your shoulder and something to prove. Your fierceness didn’t score you any points in the friendship department, but in your own words, you weren’t here to make friends.
His interest in you grew as he silently watched you from afar. Dissecting your facial expressions, body language, and each word you uttered like a scientist would an insect. Slowly. Piece by piece. He wanted to learn how you worked.
Truly, you were a guarded fortress…most of the time that is. Your little slip ups, those fleeting times when you showed vulnerability were rare, but oh how he treasured each and every one he had the pleasure of witnessing.
After hours under the low flourescent light in the storage room, he watched you cry. Hidden in the smoggy clouds at the top of the high rise, he watched you stare at the horizon, that otherworldly dissociation he knew all too well clear in your glassy eyes.
He wanted to know what you were thinking. And witnessing your lows only fueled his obsession. He wanted to care for you and coddle you, if only because that would make him invaluable to you. You who grit your teeth and scratched at your tears and didn’t need anybody else because you were just that strong.
Oh, how he would delight in making you need him.
He started slowly of course. Incidently running into you during another low moment. You’d barked at him to leave you alone, your biting tone sending an exhilarating tremor up his spine.
”Sorry! Sorry, I’ll go, just uh….here.”
With a small smile, he left you a steaming cup of tea. Your favourite flavour brewed to your liking.
The next time he caught you, he left you a snack. The time after that, a blanket and an encouraging word. ‘Slowly, slowly, like befriending a feral cat.’ He told himself whenever he felt impatient.
Eventually your harsh words vanished and so did your retreat to your impersonal, grey cubicle whenever he approached you. Instead, you started to stay and talk, unwittingly bearing your tender throat, like unsuspecting prey. Although, truth be told, you were far more than just prey.
A companion, he’d decided. All he needed to do was make you realize how much you needed him.
It didn't take long for him to hack your phone, and bugging your apartment was child’s play. Impersonating your ex also came easy, the sick yet intoxicating satisfaction he got from scaring you with those unhinged midnight texts was a drug unlike any other.
Slowly, he became your sanctuary. There was nowhere safer in the world than right next to him. You didn’t have to have your guard up when he was around. Didn’t need to keep an eye on him as he casually strolled through your home while you made supper, silently pocketing a pair of underwear you’d discarded.
No, you didn’t need to worry. He’d make sure you were safe. He’d sleep on the couch in the pitch black of your living room, a deterrent for any monster who would crawl in through the window. Those who brazenly entered through the front door however…well those were harder to catch.
He’d listen to your soft breaths as you slept in your room, counting the seconds between each one. With a trembling groan he’d wrap your used panties around his swelling shaft, blood pumping as he imagined what your naked chest would look like as it slowly rose up and down like an ocean wave beneath him.
Oh, how he wanted to have you right then. But you weren’t ready for him yet. For now, he’d have to content himself with the anticipation of what was to come.
Local bnuuy realises moth probably shouldn't accept this kind of treatment from people anymore, more at 6
Also the damned ' key stopped working when I made this and I didn't notice until it was too late lmao
We should make some new and fun content instead of just uploading old stuff about this one thing over and over. I have an idea for me and Dante if void agrees to be featured here :D
The entire time he grew up, Victor was told he deserved the abuse he received. His foster parents made everything out to be his fault. Their financial woes, personal shortcomings, issues with their family members, marriage falling apart. They claimed he was a strange monster in human form. So he decided to just embrace being what they thought of him.
The final years he lived with them he went out of his way to be horrible in return.
When he visited them as an evolved more than a decade later, he made sure to show them just how monstrous he could be.
"You know, maybe you two were right. Maybe you saw what I would become one day."
There is a pang of sadness as he finishes the grisly self appointed task. Maybe they truly were right and he had deserved such treatment. Perhaps there was a chance they really did see into the future of that terrified little boy in their hellish care. Whatever the case, he was now a living embodiment of that. So be it. Be the monster they thought you always were.
Not much to be done about it now but man. At least it's a little funny.
This kind of thing got really rampant after George Floyd's death but now that that's a distant memory, so too are white people's desires for genuine self improvement lmao. "Comfort" is more important than "progress" so to speak. I only care as much as they want to get in my face and bullshit me about it.
What do you do when you know someone is gaslighting you? But they are better at you at that and you’re mostly non confrontational so you always end giving up explaining your side because now it’s not about your feelings anymore it’s about something completely different and you don’t know how to handle that.
Ex did Visitation today with the kids at the house since they were all off camp for the holiday. He came over after I'd wrapped my workday, so I holed away in my room working on house projects and pricing.
As he was leaving, he got nasty.
He got confrontational.
I held it together. I held my ground. And when he walked out of the house and slammed my door when I was mid-sentence, I locked the door behind him.
For years, we'd have a disagreement, and if he didn't like what I was saying he would just take off. Run out of the house and get in his car and take off.
Sometimes I didn't know where he was for hours.
And when he came back, I had to apologize to him.
Today, I simply locked the door and moved on with my life. Because that time is over. I'm no longer chasing him, thinking it's my fault for how he acts.
He's a grown-ass man.
Or, at least, he should be.
And I'm really fucking proud of me.
24 days until I can file for Divorce. 24 days until I close that door as much as possible with three kids to co-parent.
And I can't fucking wait.
Loves, I mean it when I say it's worth it to get out if you can. Trust me. You can have a completely different life on the other side. A life that brings you joy and happiness. A life with better health and self-confidence.
You owe it to yourself to make it happen.
I believe in you.
The way someone can make you question your own reality to the point that you start convincing yourself memories are fake before they have started gaslighting you on it is terrifying. What do you mean I had a grown ass man pin me to the bed a year ago and tell me I'm lucky he doesn't beat the shit out of me because he wants to, and yet I still have days where I question if it happened is wild to me. And I still stayed with him for months after that. Being in an abusive marriage is a whole different reality.
