You hadn’t exactly planned this one out.

It was all very cliche. Looking out the window of a bus at night, rain smacking against the window to a tune you can’t hear. You imagine it would be there if this was part of the shitty young adult movie this scenery appeared to be from. Despite your current situation, you still chuckled to yourself. It was like the movies you used to watch when you were young and angsty - not that you expected to really be in this situation.

You keep saying that. Unexpected.

It was rather accurate, really. It was unexpected. It was unexpected the way your mood changed. It was unexpected being let off work early. It was unexpected to come home and see a stranger in your bed… with someone who wasn’t so much of a stranger.
