Pt.2 of cult leader Gojo
When Gojo had first left the Jujutsu society, he promised himself to come back for you. He knew he should’ve laid low for at least a little while before trying to get to you, but Satoru had always been an impatient man.
That same night, he had made his way through Jujutsu Tech with one goal in mind, get you out of there and to safety unnoticed. Even if he wouldn’t have been able to take you with him, he still wanted to use this opportunity to see you and talk to you about everything, clear things up and make sure you were still on his side.
That night, he didn’t end up taking you with him. He didn’t even end up talking to you.
His plan was to climb into your dorm from the balcony, but before he could even open the door he saw you there, on the floor, packing a suitcase. It had taken everything inside him not to rip open the door and take you out of there. He tried to convince himself best he could that this was your decision to make and that you needed time to comprehend the situation and understand him. Even so, he knew that you would, and when the time came you would run back to him. So he waited.
Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and months turned into years. Satoru knew it would take you a while, but he hadn’t expected it to take five fucking years.
He had had a total of 63 breakdowns in those five years. To set that into perspective, about one a month since you had left him. During these breakdowns, Gojo would have to physically hold himself back from breaking into your house. He would visit your city and watch you from a distance, just to make sure you were alright, he would tell himself. He’d learn so much about you and your new life, and get sad when he saw how happy you were.
Nevertheless, Satoru would never get too close, never approach you and never speak to you. He would tell himself to be patient, that you would come to him when you were ready. By this point, he had convinced himself that if you ever came back, you were asking him to approach you, because why else would you come back except to show him that you were finally ready?
So, he waited. And the second he found out you were back, he came for you. After all, there wasn’t much need for preparation, your room at his estate was one of the first things he had done.
Last night Gojo had been at a tipping point. Not when he felt you sneaking out of his room. Not when he found you wandering around trying to open doors. But when he asked you a question, which hadn’t really been a question, and you decided not to answer.
He had hoped that last night had been too overwhelming for you, shocking even, and that by tomorrow you would find your voice again.
That hadn’t been the case though.
That morning servants of his ‘community’ had rushed into your room, waking you up to get you ready for the day. During the whole time they’d been with you, drawing a bath, coaming your hair, choosing your clothes, you hadn’t uttered a single word.
When they told Satoru this, he didn’t think much of it. He was sure that by the time breakfast rolled around, you’d be sitting next to him asking him all kinds of questions and telling him how much you missed him.
“I hope the clothes are to your liking.” He said as he picked at his plate.
You looked up at him, still finding it hard to utter a single word. He noticed and let out a soft sigh.
“I understand this is confusing for you. I mean, you just came home after five years and not even two days later you’re here with me.” He set down his cutlery to give you his full attention. “But you have to understand that I couldn’t leave you there any longer, they were going to use you, I’m sure of it. I couldn’t let that happen to you.”
Your brows furrowed as you looked at your plate, avoiding eye contact. You knew he wasn’t wrong because that’s exactly what they had done. Used you to get to him.
Only, it hadn’t worked the way they wanted. You were here, trapped, with no way to contact them or your brother. Listening to Satoru rant on about how terrible the jujutsu world is, while you’re just sitting there, stiff and still.
Satoru goes quiet and looks at you as your mind starts reeling. He knows now that he was wrong, you were not going to talk to him. Hell, you weren’t even going to look at him.
He sighed again, this time out of frustration. “Please talk to me sweetheart.” He said, laying his had onto the table, a terrible attempt to get closer to you. “Y/n.” His voice harshened.
Now he had caught your attention. You diverted your gaze from your plate to his face. He looked tender and worried.
“It’s alright, you don’t have to be afraid. You know that right?” This time, he reached for you but you immediately pulled away.
Now, Satoru had definitely reached his tipping point. He slammed his hand against the table and you flinched.
“Fucking speak to me.” He said, his voice hard and demanding.
When he saw your expression, he immediately regretted snapping at you. “Fuck.” He sighed as he cupped his face. He knew you needed space and he knew he needed space too. Without a single word he got up and left you there, speechless and shocked.
Was this really the same Satoru you had known since you were 14?
After that, Satoru had completely isolated himself from you. He never came across you, he never joined you for meals. He even stopped sleeping in his room for a few days.
It was his way of giving you space.
But just because he wasn’t around you doesn’t mean he didn’t know what you were up to. He had servants following you everywhere and attending to your every need. He had told himself you weren’t a prisoner, but after seeing how you had reacted to him, he increased the security just in case.
“Sir?” Someone called out from behind Satoru. “You told us to notify you if the miss left her room during the night,” he turned to look at the woman who’s gaze was stuck to the floor, waiting for her to continue. “She’s currently in your room, sir.”
Interesting, Satoru thought. You couldn’t possibly be looking for him, right? So what the hell were you doing in his room, he wondered.
“Thank you.” He said and the woman nodded before turning around. “Oh, before I forget,” she halted “notify the staff of the left wing that they are to take the night off.”
The first few nights after Satorus outburst, you though it would be better to lay low. Maybe it was because you were scared of seeing him around or walking in on him in his room, you didn’t quite know.
On the fifth night you thought it would be safe enough to walk around. You hadn’t seen Satoru for four days, and he hadn’t been to his room since.
As you walked into his room you started wondering weather or not Suguru was trying to get to you. You knew it would take a while for them to contact you, but how much longer did you have to wait?
It didn’t even matter, it’s not like you had any kind of information on anything Satoru had planned. There was nothing, anywhere. And you were beginning to get frustrated because of it.
“Knock knock,” you hear Satoru hum as he walks into the room. In a moment of panic you head for the balcony, only, Satoru is faster.
“Now now, did no one ever teach you that it is incredibly rude to snoop around someone’s room?” He says as he presses you against the balcony door.
You often thought of Satoru as a sort of human magnet.
No matter how far someone was, they would always end up being pulled in by Satoru Gojo.
At first you thought it was simply in his nature to be so fascinating and interesting. It’s not every day someone as powerful as him is born, after all.
But you soon realised it wasn’t because of that, not most of the time anyway. The more you were around him, the more you got to observe and know him. This way, you found out that more often than not it was Satoru pulling everything into him.
Back then, that was as far as you got. You supposed he did it because of the lack of attention he got when he was younger. Or perhaps because he simply loved being the center of attention. It was only when you finally got out of there that you realised, his reasoning was much more twisted.
Satoru pulled people in because he needed the control over them. Ever since he had been young, he never liked it when people looked down on him, and that’s why he soon learned how to flip the cards to be in control.
You think that’s why he got along so well with Suguru, and why he was so infatuated by you. Your brother never thought of Satoru as better than him, sure, he was much stronger and he could beat him anytime, but he wasn’t above him. At the same time though, he also never looked down on him, that’s what Satoru liked about Suguru, he saw him as an equal.
Soon enough you joined the picture, however, you never saw him as anything. In fact, when you first met him you didn’t even know who he was. Even after, you never concerned yourself with the matter. Frankly, you did not care and Satoru hated that.
He would’ve much preferred you looking down on him than you not looking at him at all.
Satoru had tried everything to get your attention, to try and pull you into him, but nothing worked. Suguru even started calling him a freak for it (he much didn’t care about Satorus infatuation of you because he knew that Gojo had no chance).
“Stop staring at my sister.”
“How can I?” Satoru dramatically sighed, “she’s still ignoring me!” He slid down into his chair.
“Have you ever considered that she doesn’t care about you?” Suguru raised a brow as he looked over at his friend.
“Impossible. I’m Satoru Gojo.” He huffed, which only earned him an eye roll from the black haired boy.
But even broken magnets end up working somehow.
He doesn’t really know how it happened. Something about a mission and a rescue and the rest was history, but he had finally managed to pull you in. And with certain magnets, once you’re pulled in you never pull back again.
Needless to say, you two had started dating. Suguru was actually rather surprised when you broke the news, but you were happy, so he was happy.
Satoru thinks of that as the best time of his life. He had good friends, an amazing girlfriend and he was doing great as a sorcerer student.
However, nothing good ever lasts. He doesn’t quite know what his tipping point was, maybe it was the whole star plasma vessel thing, or the fact that he overheard the higher ups talk about his and his friend’s future. What ever it may have been, a switch flipped in Satorus brain.
Unfortunately for Satoru, he was not one of those magnets that you can’t unattach yourself from. Because you left. You pulled away from him. And it took him 5 years to pull you back in.
“You know…” he started. “You’ve been incredibly bad and ungrateful.” One of his hand trailed along the column of your spine as the other held your arms locked against your back. “And I have been nothing but patient and generous with you.”
His free hand rested on your hip and you felt him push you farther into the glass door, as if that was even possible, as you tried to wiggle yourself free from his grasp.
He shifted behind you, readjusting his posture, and leaned into you so that he could breathe into your neck. His body flushed against yours and you felt as if you were going to explode in fear, but also anticipation.
No, no. Not anticipation. You did not want to know where this was going to go, you wanted to get out of here.
As if reading your thoughts, his hold on you tightened, and you felt as if your skin was already forming dark ugly bruises. “Shhh,” he cooed. “You don’t have to be afraid, I’m here, you’re here, and we’re safe. I took care of everything, no one is ever going to separate us again.” His hand slid from your him to the back of your thigh. “Not those tedious sorcerers, or those disgusting higher ups. Not even your precious brother. What a fool he was to think he could fight me and win. Such a shame really.”
In that moment your entire body froze. Noticing this his grasp on you slightly softened, he had you.
Your head slowly turned into his direction, revealing the horrified look on your face. “What?” Were the first word you had uttered to him in days.
“He put up quite the fight, props to him. But I mean, there no way he actually thought he could beat me, right?”
“What did you do?” Your voice began to shake and your brows furrowed as you dreaded the answer.
He let go of your arms and turned your body so you were facing him. “Don’t concern yourself with that. What’s important is that everything is taken care of. There’s no one left out there to go to.” He smiled, “now you and I can finally be together again without anyone ruining it.”
The funny thing about magnets is that they keep pulling you in, even if you’ve unattached yourself and gone as far away as possible, they’ll always pull you back in.
Satoru wasn’t the kind of magnets that pulled you into him for ever, but he was the kind that pulled you back even if you thought you had finally escaped it. And when he finally pulled you back, he would make sure you wouldn’t be able to pull away ever again.
