The end of a friendship???
((Requested by @zealousnintendomarioclod Writing prompt #1. Dark belongs to my homie @creatortiffany98 This is an angsty one I know))
Tylex had really out done himself this time. He had lured Dark into a snowy forest and with the power of dark magic he had managed to form a strong ice monster who had Dark in her clutches while Tylex laughed at Kat , who was desperately trying to save her friend.
"SOME QUEEN YOU ARE!!!" he sneered as he formed ice spears with his new frosty powers. Kat dodged it and snarled at. Tylex continued "Your supposed to be a "protecter" of the supernatural , but you can hardly even protect your friend!! HAHAHA-OW!!" he yelled as one of Darks children bit him. Dark huffs "QUIT YOUR LAUGHING JERK CUZ WHEN IM FREE WE BOTH GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!!" She said but soon got slapped by him "SHUT UP BITCH!" he growled
Kat lunged at the ice beast, her horns low and glowing bright with fire. She rammed into the frozen beasts legs making a part of left one crumble down. The monster fell to his knees. Kat grins up to Tylex "That's right basterd! BOW DOWN TO YOUR QUEEN!" She said going to attack it once more. Tylex growled "Come on you frozen shit! Get up! I COMMAND YOU!!" he said as he lifted his arm. The beast rose up once more and twice as strong. Kat kept on fighting but with every hit she gave, the monster hit back stronger. Tylex laughed "I thought you learned your lesson you stupid bitch!" He yelled at Kat "YOU CAN'T WIN!!!"
Kat snarled "Yes I can basterd! It's about time you learned YOUR lesson and leave Dark alone! Your lucky Gram isn't hear to beat your ass into a bloody pulp! But ill cover for him just fine!" She said easliy dodging his attacks. She had to find a weak point... she just had too.
Omicron hissed and looked up at the chest of the beast. The core. YES THE CORE! That would do the trick. Kat looked up. It was too risky tho... If she hit wrong she could end up hurting Dark... but if she hit write, it was all over for Tylex. She growled not wanting to take the risk.
Dark huffed "FINNISH HIM OFF ALREADY KAT! I WANT TO GO HOME!! " she yelled
Kat dodged another ice attack "I CAN'T! ID END UP HURTING YOU!"
Dark huffed "WHO CARES JUST DO IT! "
Kat jumped out of the way as Tylex made the monster try to stomp on her. Cracking could faintly be heard beneath them but it was ignored. Kat grumbled "I CARE DAM IT! I'M NOT GONNA HURT YOU!"
Dark growled "JUST DO IT I DON'T CARE!!! I'LL HEAL !!! JUST FINISH HIM!!"
Kat kept fighting soon managing to hit Tylex in the face. He stumbled back wards a bit making the moster do the same. He growled "YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT BITCH!" he said as he made the monster throw a punch at Kat.
Kat dodged barely. She was getting tired. Dark growls irritated "JUST TAKE OUT THE CORE NOW!!! TAKE HIM DOWN!!"
Kat roared "FOR THE LAST TIME I'M NOT GONNA HURT YOU!!!!"
Dark growled and yelled in frustration not really thinking her next words till they had already left her mouth. "SEE THIS IS WHY YOU FAILED SO MANY TIMES. YOUR TOO SOFT AND WORRYSOME!!! NO WONDER YOU HAVE NO CROWN YOUR HARDLY A QUEEN AT ALL!!"
Kat froze eyes wide in shock at those words. She didn't see the punch coming even as Omicron tried to make her move. She ended up getting slammed into a nearby glacier.
Tylex laughed "OHHH I BET THAT DIDN'T HURT AS MUCH AS THOSE WORDS!!! HAHAHAHA JEEZ DARK AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE PALS!!! THAT WAS JUST PURE EVIL!!" he laughed. Dark bit her lip. She had gone too far. "Shit... KAAAATTT!!!" she called
Kat slid down from the glacier not even extending her wings to stop it. It was true... so many timelines gone after she had failed to save a loved one... so many alternative universes completely destroyed after someone got completely outta hand and she had refused to hurt them any more... She believed they could change or go back to being good. But she had learned the hard... painful way that not always did good triumphant over evil. As she landed hard on the cold icey floor, flash backs of all those failed times came back. The time line had flown off course and she had tried to fix it. But it had been impossible. She had heard the screams of fear and agony of many innocent victims. The smell of death filling her nose in more than one occasion. It hurt to have to destroy the timelines to start over again. But what most filled her heart with greif was when whoever was causing the mayhem in the doomed timeline ... was someone she knew... and loved. Those... those were the ones that hurt the most. She carried all the weight of her royal duties on her tired forsaken shoulders... yet beared no crown upon her head. A duty she did with no pay or reward or recognition...
How dare Dark bring this pain rushing back? HOW DARE SHE. Kat snapped, eyes turning a bloody red as she shifted into a form she hardly ever if not NEVER used... she grew dark... her fur turning completely black from the tip of her horns to Omicron nose. Her skeleton was visible through the darkness of her fur and she grew larger. Another set of horns sprouted next to her original swirled ones. These horns looked more like those of a goat. Finally her body erupted in flames as she let out a mighty roar that shook the earth for miles around. Tylex and Dark looked over surprised, Tylex soon shivering in fear "WHAT THE FUCK!??!!"
"BEHOLD!" Kat said with an echo in her voice and wicked grin "MY DEMON FORM!" She growled and with a kick of her hind horse legs she lunged forward twords the ice monster. Her claws now longer and sharper as she aimed for the monsters chest. "FEEL THE WRATH AND FURY OF HELL FROM MY CLAWS!!!" She roared impacting the monster straight in the chest. With her claws engulfed in flames she now sliced down the monster, shredding its core as she sliced it the pieces. Tylex screamed as he fell onto the ice as the monster came tumbling down in pieces. Kat snarled and looked on grinning wickedly till she heard a pain filled grunt coming from the monsters now shattered hand. When she saw who had grunted... her power left completely. She was back to her normal self in a couple of seconds as her eyes widened in fear and swelled with tears... she'd over done it.
There stood Dark... well barely stood. She wobbled a bit to keep herself balanced as she held an arm across her chest. Black blood poures from the very visible and large claw mark burned into her chest. Dark spit some blood out grumbling nonsense too in shock to actually do something.
None of them heard the ice... they were to in shock from all that had just happened... it was too late.
The ice gave way beneath the place the monster and Dark were standing. They had just had to been fighting over a great frozen lake. Kat instinctively jumped into the air and flew up but then swooped down fast to get Dark. Dark gasped as she hit the freezing water. It was cold ... so very cold. The wound didn't help at all as icey water seeped into it. She looked up "KAT!! KAT HELP!" she cried. Kat flew down as fast as she could "IM COMING IM COMING DONT WORRY I GOT YOU!!" she said extending her arms out to grab a hold of her friend.
Dark extended her arms too but soon gasped as someone took hold of her hair. Dark looked back in horror as Tylex dragged her down into the icey water with him. "IF I'M GOING DOWN YOUR COMING DOWN WITH ME!!!!" Were his last words as he sunk down taking Dark with him. Kat folded her wings to dive into the water "DARK NO!!!!"
The water was freezing... oh so very cold. But not as cold as Kats blood as it froze seeing her friend so deep into the dark icey waters of the lake. She swan soon shifting into her mermaid form to gain more speed. Dark was drowning... and fast. Kat had to swim faster... FASTER DAM IT NO!!! This couldn't be happening. No no no!!! She teared up as she swam harder than ever before to reach her beloved friend. She was close ... both girls looked at each others eyes and that's when Kat panicked more. She could survive this depth and below 0 temperatures. But Dark?... With the way her eyes began to haze over and her arm began to slowly lower itself, Kat knew she was running out of time. The chunks of ice floatng between them didn't make it any easier. She swam and teared up. "DARK!!!" she screamed getting closer "DARK I LOVE YOU GOD DAM IT PLEASE DON'T GO!!!!!" she yelled into dark abyss. Her hand extended to reach Darks. Darks eyes looked up at her one last time as their fingertips touched before a floating piece of ice pushed her down....
They had been close ... so very close... but so far...
