Is Asgore still the one behind Gyftmas here / has he the time? If so, does / did anyone do it alongside him?

Hm? Oh, that old holiday? Yeah, it stopped a long time ago. They put the tree away in Flurriville centuries before now. Weird thing about that is that it stopped not long after that skeleton scientist flung himself into the Furnace. Maybe he was the one behind it?

Has Flowey received a redesign? Noticed in the document for his fight, he has a crown and cape while in the initial Ruins encounter, he, well, just looks like Flowey, or does he get the crown and cape by Waterfall?

Flowey wasn't redesigned, at least not overall. The extra embellishments to his design, i.e. the cloak and the crown, are specifically for the fight against him in Waterfall, just so he carries a little more intimidation factor there; wherever else he appears, he should be thought of as still having his initial design of a humble, unassuming golden flower with seven petals.

So why did Sans and Undyne think Papyrus was dead initially? Did they see like a hallucination of his dust/him dusting? Is it just ingrained in their memory by Gaster? Is kidnapping so out of the question that if they can't find him, that means he must be dead?

Ok, so.

Monsters don’t leave corpses behind. Therefore, there’s no cultural “death has to be confirmed with a body” thing.

Second, the underground is fairly small. There’s not a whole lot of places Papyrus could hide.

Third, there’s no reason for Papyrus to run off. Everything was just fine before he disappeared!

Finally, Papyrus disappeared and the very next day, a human arrived... there’s no way that’s just a coincidence

So I liked Cornthian and everything involved with them back in the preboot, so I suppose my question if it isn't too spoilery is will we see any "fixed" amalgamates here / Reboot Cornthian (especially since we've seen Endogeny and they look the same)?

Asgore was already a well known scientist within monsterkind before they were sealed away along side Gaster. While his specialty is botany, he has more than enough experience in the medical field that people were comfortable bringing their ailing family to him sooner than in canon. With slightly more time on a group of dying patients, he discovered Determination and injected into them in a slightly different way than canon.

It's a safe assumption that Alphys injected the same amount into each group. However Asgore considered the will to live while administering the DT.

A group of mercenaries working on the edge of legality? Don't need too much more will to live, they are plenty willful as is.

A large group of the Royal Guard? Willful indeed but let's add a little more to even out any fluctuations.

A wife and mother with no battle experience? Oh, she needs a LOT of this.

...and so on!

Paci-Neutral Route Theory

Assuming that things happen akin to how UT Paci-Neutral ends (Asgore dying, Flowey taking the SOULs and fighting you as an ms paint monstrosity (yes i know it’s Photoshop, don’t @ me.) ) the human would defeat Photoshop Boogie, decide to kill or spare them, but then unlike how the original Paci-Neutral ending went, the Human would be unable to leave as (this is going off the theory that UT Frisk used Asgore’s Soul fragments or whatever to cross the Barrier) Sans’ Soul would’ve shattered immediately as he aint a Boss Monster (if I’m wrong about this and he is in SS, you can lemme know). Thus SS Frisk would stay underground, help monsters (and Chara) through the likely new changes (This assuming Papyrus takes the throne), such as setting puzzles and japes to test new humans, and other such Papyrusy things, but also helping find a new means through the Barrier. It’d basically be like the Paci-Neutral phone call but with SS characters and circumstances and Frisk actually there. Then eventually Boogie turns up, spouts stuff about a “better ending” just like Flowey does at the end of Paci-Neutral, and SS Frisk resets. As for what they do next, who knows? All of this is just a theory anyway. Could be that there is no paci-neutral route and just a pure Pacifist one.

Despite the sprite comic being cancelled, will there still be music added to the OST for general purposes?

That was the original plan… but let’s be honest, this is taking a long time as it is between all the other priorities. Maybe as an update to the OG doc after release but not with the initial release.
