Darkest Dreams

In darkest dreams The tropical breeze Kisses me gently beneath my salty wet knees In the shadows of Palm trees Lies my own tropic paradise Of warm waters and white sand beaches Running barefoot through the sand The winds and waves push against me As I constantly chase after the elusive sunset Jagged lava rock And merciless coral Slice my skin as I dive into such beautiful views The wound it leaves Is debilitated by the sting of the salt And it does not heal Tomorrow will come, and the sun will rise Time will pass, Roll in with the tides.
