Today's post kind of breaks away from my recent "feed aesthetic" only because I can't find my copy of this wonderful book! Huhu! Someone must've borrowed but I can't remember who. Good thing I already read it, and well, I'm not considering it lost since I've been extra possessive of my books the past year or so and I now only lend them to people I can trust. So..⠀ •⠀ This is a brilliant story set in various islands in Visayas (Siquijor most prominently) and I loved the fusion of the popular mythical mermaids with local lore that might not be familiar with everyone yet.
