“Diastema” is the space separating groups of teeth that do different things. Humans don’t have one.
The canine diastema in particular actually does something specific! It’s sometimes called the P3/C honing complex and it sharpens the edge of the canines against the premolar, kinda like using a whetsone to sharpen a knife.
So Bruce gives this whole description of all the ways he's tested Kal's abilities, even ways that had the potential to be harmful, but then he yells at Kal for testing his abilities in a way that had the potential to be harmful. Yes, Kal's was far more drastic and probably didn't have the ten thousand safeguards that were in place for the red sun test, but this is still an "I learned it from watching you" moment.
Kal is a smart kid. He can very plainly see that Bruce is a very “do as I say, not as I do.” kinda person. He’s also a very nice boy who loves his brother and for right now, he prioritizes his family ties more than his personal belief that that’s not very fair and his bro is just a little sketch from time to time.
He’s also a super-powered alien being who has OPINIONS. That levee’s gotta break eventually.

What was the reason with Tron 3?
Money, always money. Disney would rather focus on the enormous cash-cows that are Marvel, Star Wars, and the princesses. Tron has nostalgia value and a reputation for groundbreaking special effects, but “Legacy” didn’t deliver the box office they were expecting and they committed infanticide against “Uprising” by giving it inconsistent and late-night time slots. Tron 3 was dead the moment Disney bought the rights to Star Wars - but they still demanded Olivia Wilde lose her baby weight immediately AND pressured all the actors - including Cillian Murphy - into keeping their schedules open. It’s all so mercenary and a little sinister.

I don't exactly follow (I'm more comfortable visiting the blog than seeing all posts in my dash) but I started doing that because a bud of mine is a huge fan of the Alpha and Weapon of the Times. This seems to be one of the Tumblrs to stay on top of to remain informed regarding RvB.
