I remembered that I have craft supplies and can make things - here's Leaf, Goldstreak, and Jelly, plus a bonus Faithful
Having trouble with my darking crochet designs. I know cover art and the official pins have them as kind of comma-like, almost snake-like, but that makes them very top-heavy, which means they'd only really work as hanging ornaments as plushies.
Jelly is going to be like the Slime Rancher puddle slime, since it flattens itself down to the ground.
I'm having trouble with the other two, though. I think Gold-streak will just be a round blob, but I want to give Leaf a head for its leaf hat. I just can't decide how to make the head without making the whole thing kind of snowman-shaped. :/
“Many babies,” piped one of the darkings on the cradles.
“Only three.” Aly said it wearily. Nawat had the feeling that she’d said it several times already. “The bigger one belongs to Terai. As for triplets, it does happen, from time to time.”
“Darkings never see before,” another of the creatures remarked. “Only ducks have so many.”
“Chickens,” said another darking.
“Geese,” added a third.
“Before we name all of the animals you know who have more than one child,” Taybur said, his voice quiet but firm, “it is time to leave. These babies need to sleep.”

Aly:
"You know, my mother always told me you had to seize the bright moments, because you never know when they will come again." She smiled dreamily. "The older I get, the smarter she seems."
And a darking's reaction:
"You are happy," Secret told her. "That is nice. You don't have many nice times."

The duchess had set a new fashion, wearing her darking as a glossy band twined throughout her hair. Other ladies of Dove's new court were trying the same style, without success, since a darking could grip better than a satin ribbon.

Only Winnamine would think of this. Icon.
Aly was asking them [the crows] to gather their dropped feathers as they did those of Stormwings when one tried to grab Trick. The darking wriggled and turned itself into a cobra with its cowl fully extended, striking at the crow. The crow squawked and fell off the ledge.
"I teach him," Trick said proudly, and turned itself back into a necklace.

If darkings aren't the best invention ever...
