Would anyone be interested in hearing about my original WIPs? I’ve got two currently. One was a Sanders Sides fanfiction, but me and my co-author are reworking it into an original book. The other one I’ve been working on on and off reworking it and reworking it for 10 years.
Does anyone else hate those super long character questionnaires? Like, I love the idea of them, they'd be super cool to do just for fun, but there's no need. Why do I need to know whether my character takes hot showers or cold showers, unless I'm writing a bunch of shower scenes? Why do I need to know their favorite mythical animal?
If OHSHC came out today, it would be cancelled in an instant.
Honey is literally a loli - proclaimed by the characters themselves.
Haruhi poses as a boy, yet identifies as a girl. (yes she said she doesn’t care how others see her, but she sees herself as a girl.)
Haruhi’s dad being called a transsexual, and still being referred to as Haruhi’s “dad”.
Everything about Tamaki. (If you need examples, he treats Haruhi like a child, despite loving her romantically, frequently refers to himself as Haruhi’s dad, while also loving her romantically. Is toxic in general.)
Mori is probably relatively safe. (I haven’t read the manga so I don’t know if he does anything bad in there.)
Kyoya tried to proposition Haruhi for sex in exchange for paying off a debt, taking advantage of his position of higher standing.
Hikaru and Kaoru being incestuous. Just their entire dynamic entirely.
And then the premise of the show itself. A harem for boys, who are underaged teens in high school, take advantage of a girl in poverty and makes her work for them because she accidentally broke a vase.
But because it came out in 2006 (the show, anyway), nobody bats an eye at it.
Sanders Sides one-shot where Virgil is a writer and Roman teases him for never finishing any project he ever starts, so Virgil decides to participate in NaNoWriMo, only to be immediately swamped and behind schedule and realize that he's not going to finish this, either.
Debated between, in my original novel series, making the main villain a villain we can sympathize with because he has legitimate reasons, vs making the main villain a complete bastard of a man who is just evil for the sake of being evil
Every now and again, I can't think about anything but one of my abandoned wips and I want to start writing it again but then I go to start writing them or brainstorming for them and I remember why I abandoned them...
You know what I want? I want an AU where Bakugo isn’t a shithead. He was abused by his mom, saw how angry she was, and decided that no, he wasn’t going to be like her.
He has a hard time connecting with people, yeah. He doesn’t know how to show affection, and he doesn’t really want to. He’s dismissive, and distant. But he doesn’t tell Midoriya to kill himself. He doesn’t threaten to murder people. He doesn’t go absolutely feral if someone is stronger than him.
He’s supportive of Midoriya, and sticks up for him when people bully him for being quirkless. I want a Bakugo who knows what it feels like to be bullied, and decides he doesn’t want his childhood friend to go through that.
He still wants to be the best. Still wants to become rich and famous, and for people to know his name. But he knows that other people can also be rich and famous. Other people can also be heroes. Can even be really good, or great, or top heroes.
He battles with Midoriya, and they both give it their all, and no matter the outcome, Bakugo is supportive. Tells him he did good, or that he’s getting stronger. I want a Bakugo who helped train Midoriya to be stronger, because if he was going to try to be a hero, Bakugo didn’t want him embarrassing himself by going into it with the strength of a malnourished gerbil.
Maybe him and Midoriya aren’t close friends anymore. Maybe they only see each other in class, because they grew apart. As Bakugo lifted up his childhood friend, Midoriya was able to branch out and make more friends. And Bakugo didn’t want to let more people into his life. So he withdrew himself, and stopped talking to the other.
But he’s not mean. Distant, and withdrawn, and dismissive. But not mean.
what i wouldn’t give to have my oc’s be someone else’s blorbo(s).
