Mistigram: the Blender improvised art compo, held in EFNet IRC channel #blender, is on again this weekend. Here's a tie for 2nd place from last time, on 4/20, where Darkman Almighty drew his #ANSIart take on a dragon doing hot yoga in a grow op.

Mistigram: one of many similar tableaux resulting from last weekend's Blender improvised art competition, here is an #ANSIart scroller drawn by Darkman Almighty of the Power Rangers conducting a robbery on Arrakis. (In the stillsuit that Fremen at the bottom looks as though they might be auditioning to join the gang!)

Mistigram: last May, Darkman Almighty of the USS Excelsior BBS released an entire artpack, TREK2022, on #StarTrek themes -- with a specfic focus on the classic original series. To demonstrate his growth in the intervening year, he's branched out to a wider range of subjects -- and so in this month's science fiction-themed MIST0523 artpack collection, he shared a small suite of #ANSIart screens celebrating characters from successive Trek series, especially, as pictured here, #DeepSpaceNine.

Mistigram: "Lt. Barclay, what the HELL are these camels doing in the holodeck?" This holly jolly portrait of #JonathanFrakes as #CommanderRiker could only be the handiwork of Darkman Almighty of the USS Excelsior BBS, who drew this "Merry Trekmas" #ANSIart illustration for the wintery new MIST1222 artpack collection.

Mistigram: when they hang the mistletoe on the #NCC1701D, #GeordiLaForge finally has a good excuse to kiss the hologram of #LeahBrahms, as in the #STTNG S3E6, "Booby Trap". Darkman Almighty drew the moment for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

Mistigram: Darkman Almighty loves his television series, and in a rare departure from his Star Trek wheelhouse drew this moody #ANSIart tribute to Joss Whedon's late '90s #BuffyTheVampireSlayer series. This screen was included in last year's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: for MIST-30, we hoped to get a round of #WAZZUP going with '90s pop culture icons, but only Darkman Almighty's portrait of #Data from #STTNG S7E6, #Phantasms, got finished. We just included it in the new science fiction-themed MIST0525 artpack collection.

Mistigram: last year the "Blender" improvised computer art competition took place on 4/20 and that will be taking place again this weekend, starting on the 19th.
