Game Theory [Podfic] COMPLETE

So have you ever wanted to listen to like 40+ hours of excellent professional narration of Game Theory, idk, maybe you’re on a roadtrip to the moon and back again, or maybe you just want to hear really awesome special affects for Augus’ compulsions and true voice, or maybe you want to hear Albion’s voice so you can hate him even more, and Augus’ voice so you can love him even more?

Now you can! I mean you could before, but now you can and it’s complete! DarkMK has been working on this labour of love since March 2017, and it’s been a seriously awesome journey.

Game Theory Podfic - chapters 1-14 complete

Hiya folks!

Reminder that there is a Game Theory Podfic by the amazing DarkMK.

The fic has grown pretty quickly, and there are now 14 complete chapters which adds up to about 10-11 hours of listening I’m pretty sure. The characters have voices, Augus’ compulsions have special effects, and it’s awesome to follow (I’ve been listening to it myself while doing cross-stitch today). It’s a monumental amount of effort, and really deserves some love. :D

(2) is the relationship between Belle and the Beast, and there's *something* missing. I can see so much potential there, but for me, it just didn't have the follow-through. I know I'm definitely in the minority opinion, but I think it's *because* I love the original so much. I still think it's worth seeing - it's beautiful, and I have to say, I really enjoyed Gaston. But it didn't quite capture the magic for me. ~DarkMK

I didn’t get your first ask! (Thanks Tumblr, proof that asks still get swallowed up in ye olde ask machine).

We can’t afford to see movies all that often, so I’ll probably turf the remake of Beauty and the Beast to the ‘don’t see at the cinemas/watch later’ column, because I just wouldn’t spend money on something that I’m not really certain I’m going to love (like Lego Batman, which I saw last night, and did really love - it’s only just come out here in Australia, lol).

But yeah, I’m not sure you are in the minority opinion in that (I mean, in terms of what I’m personally hearing - not in terms of what everyone’s saying on Facebook necessarily...) - I’m hearing similar re: the critiques. I’ve also heard that Watson’s acting doesn’t necessarily capture some of the nuances of an animated Belle, and that due to a few elements, the relationship feels more ‘instalove’ than the animation, which given it’s a story about (successfully done) instalove, could be a bit of an issue?

It does sound gorgeous though, so I will see it eventually if only for the special effects and how they’ve re-imagined it? :) Just not at the cinema. With so many movies dropping this year that I want to see (Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Wonder Woman and...others I forget), along with most finance being turfed straight to health stuff, I’m being choosier than usual.

At least we’ll always have the animation! :D
