#darkness without light

The void calls and beckons. It welcomes people into the dark, where they would normally be shunned. Life in darkness is silent and lonely but feels welcoming, yet you can't go there. Once you disappear into the void, there is no way to come back and it has you, the void may call and scream for you to come but you must ignore it, as if you go there; you will never return.

Light without darkness is blinding, and darkness without light is empty. They need each other, just like the world needs you.

So stay.

My chest burns from the tears I hold back and I smell rain. The world burns without any flames and I'm stuck breathing in the ashes. I pray for relief but no one answers me. The darkness is deep and hungry and leaves no survivors.
