Trouble in Mayapple - Kouji and Kouichi
Their house (a better word would be “farm”) was located on route 15, and so they often travelled to Larkspur Town when they ran low on supplies. Kouichi rarely let Kouji go alone, having only allowed it once and then never again. They had no newborn Pokémon this time, only two eggs, and each was tucked inside a backpack on each twin’s back.
The younger held onto his brother’s arm, his Sylveon having her ribbons wrapped around her other hand, while the elder stared into space as they walked. They ended up taking a detour, as the mention of Mega Evolution caught the elder’s attention (the younger brother couldn’t convince him to simply return home), and that’s how they ended up in this mess.
“Damn it, Kouichi, I told you we should’ve just gone home!” one twin snapped, hugging his backpack tightly to his chest as the showing quickly turned to disaster.
“Kouji, take the other egg,” the other replied, pulling a pokeball from his belt. “I’ll clear a path for us.”
“You can’t be serious!” Kouji rolled his eyes, though, and took the backpack. “Those freaks will gang up on us.”
“Stop worrying about me!”
“Mm. Banette, let’s fight.” The ghost-type appeared in an instant, letting out a demented cry as it stood beside its trainer. Kouichi just smirked as a grunt confronted him, calling out his Poochyena. A Dark-type, of all things.
“For fuck’s sake,” Kouji muttered bitterly. “Kouichi, call out someone else. Sylveon, use Moonblast!”
“Assist her, Liepard,” Kouichi murmured, the cat-like Pokémon meowing in response.
And so, the battle began.
