I start to hate kegs. Got those second hand kegs and wanted to bottle a batch of blackberry cacao barreled imperial dark Saison 7.6% (you can see from the name that it is an expensive beer). Filled two 18l kegs, one of them I just could not make it air or liquidtight at the lid. So I ended up pouring it back into tank, resulting in a huge mess and a totally stirred beer. Then I filled all the bottles available and for the last 10l I had constant blackberry sludge blockings, it was a huge mess! Anyhow, ended up with 85l bottled/ kegged. Lost about 15l to the blackberrys. I think that’s normal. What has Been an undrinkable duckling has become a wonderful beer... i did this beer one year ago, a Dark strong Saison 8.2% with chocolate , oak Chips and Blackberrys. Came out very dry, almost sharp, with intense Sharp chocolate and a Bit of tartness. Undrinkable. Almost threw it away. Luckily Not. Now 14 months later it mellowed Out and is a fantastic beer. Very complex, Rich fruity oaky chocolaty Aroma and sweetness and tartness perfectly balanced. And an Almost creamy aftertaste. A total burner. You Van find the recipe lower in My Timeline.
