tokoyami approaches quietly and without much warning hands over a small canvas; it's an obscure abstract oil painting of various yellows, reds and blues, portraying a being with wings. maybe its a painting of hawks? or it could be a metaphor of sorts beyond comprehension of others; his averted gaze to the ground doesn't offer much information.
sometimes he doesn’t get his former intern. he’s a good kid with a good heart, he knows that much to be true, but even so, there’s that penchant for saying and doing strange things out of the blue that he can never quite figure out even when he thinks he’s expecting it. this is one of those times, with hawks left in a moment of stunned silence as the painting is handed over to him without explanation.
another moment is taken to admire the work put into it. he might not exactly ‘ get it ‘ but he understands enough to see that some serious work has been put into making it look nice. he stares at the being with wings on the canvas, wonders if it’s a portrait of him but then decides it doesn’t really matter. tsukuyomi— tokoyami had made this for him, and it’s enough to get a grin out of him, “ thanks! it looks pretty cool, honestly, i really like it. “
