(( He is! Which is why I'm so upset. He is so important to the overall storyline. But they were poking at him for that very reason. Honestly he's the one that gave me the most feels over all while playing the game. ))

For a boy in a serious predicament, he's unreasonably optimistic on the likelihood of finding about thirty-three pups in a world constantly swarming with Heartless who didn't show token regard for even the most chipper of bowwows.

At first, Riku had thought this was just another stranger. Just another face that was familiar, or felt like it should be, but not one he actually knew. Then an equally familiar memory from his childhood surfaced; one with the smell of the surf, a strange sword, and a promise of freedom. Only this time, the memory had a face. "... I know you. I remember you from when I was just a little kid." Riku couldn't help but smirk, putting a hand on his hip. "Hey there. Guess you could say it's been a while."

"Namine was there for me when I needed someone the most -- she had saved me, to put it bluntly. Down in the deepest Darkness she had called out to me, and ultimately freed me from the doubts that were withholding me from helping myself. ooc; MUN FACT: Namiku was actually my very first ship in Kingdom Hearts? It's one that is very dear to my heart because I always envision this ship to go with him as a fallen man and her as a self-conscious little angel. They both have their flaws and their regrets, but I feel like they could help each other out and break the barriers that separate them from being together. Namine's innocence complements Riku's sinfulness -- and ultimately, they both help each other reach some kind of middle ground together. OK I'LL STOP.
