A quick visit to Darrowby (Grassington) for one of my favourite series. Sadly I didn’t see them filming but I did see the crew preparing the set for next week. 🙊

Audrey and Siegfried talk marriage
While looking out the window at newlyweds, Siegfried and Audrey discuss the following:
S: Do you think you'll marry again.
A: Who would I marry?
S: Perhaps someone like me?
A: A head-strong, stubborn man . . .
S (talking over her): Charming, successful. . .
A (talking over him): stuck in his ways.
[Continuing to talk over each other and laughing]
S: Kind, industrious . . .
A: Who loses all his possessions, who keeps a disorganized medical cabinet. . .
S: Handsome, loyal . . .
A: Who never admits he's wrong. . .
S: Yes, someone like that.
A: I would be very lucky to find someone like that.
[Tristan interrupts]
T: What's happening?
S: Audrey and I are discussing how lucky she'd be to be married to someone like me.
T: You'd be the lucky one, dear brother. When's the wedding?
S: When she says, "Yes."
A: I'd need a proper proposal.
[Siegfried and Audrey smile at each other. Tristan oblivious to having interrupted the two looks out the window at the newlywed couple and others in the square.]
All Creatures Great and Small: Dr. Buttercup
I recently had the good fortune to spend a gloriously beautiful day in the Yorkshire Dales. The day was even more amazing when you consider that it was overcast and rainy the entire day before.
The highlight, of course, was visiting Grassington, aka Darrowby from ACGAS! If only Siegfried and Mrs. Hall had been there to have tea with 😊 My goal next year is to try and be there on a filming day, but coming from so far away that will be more about luck than anything. But here’s hoping!
