Daruma-san Bath Game - Japan
Warning: Do not play this game. It is very real and very dangerous. This blog does not give instructions so you can play this. This is for informational purposes only.
Players: 1
Needed: Bathroom with a bathtub (Can not be substituted for a shower)
How to Start:
Start at night before you go to bed
Shed all clothing before entering the bathroom, fill the tub with water, then turn off the lights before climbing in.
Sit in the tub facing the faucet, after the water settles start washing your hair.
As you do this repeat the words “Daruma-san fell down. Daruma-san fell down.” Do not stop chanting this until you completely wash your hair. Do not open your eyes.
If you have done this correctly then she will show you how she died. You will get a mental image of a Japanese woman standing in the bath, slipping and falling. Her eye being gouged out by the rusty faucet to the bathtub.
You might feel someone moving behind you or slight motion in the tub you might hear odd noises. Do not. Under any circumstances. Open your eyes. Don’t do it. Ask out loud “Why did you fall in the bathtub?”
Let the question hang in the air. Keeping your eyes closed, carefully exit the bathtub and leave the bathroom, closing the door behind you. Once the door is shut you may open your eyes.
Leave the bathroom exactly the way you left it, do not drain the tub, don’t open the door, don’t turn on any lights.
Go to bed
The Game:
Wake up normally, the second you open your eyes the game will begin.
You will feel a constant presence behind you all day. Whenever you turn your head you will not see anyone. But lancing over your shoulder out of the corner of your eye will let you see her. Her hair will be dark and tangled, her clothing messy and rotted, and most important her right eye will be missing, the other being bloodshot and irritated.
Throughout the day she will get closer and closer. if she gets too close for comfort shout “Tomare!” (Meaning stop) Then run.
If done correctly she will be farther behind you next time you check.
If done wrong run faster, dont let her catch you.
The Ending
When you wish to end the game get her in your sights and say “Kitta!” (I cut you loose) with a chopping motion of your hand.
If done correctly the game will be ended and you wont be able to see her anymore
If done incorrectly...run.
Additional Notes:
She likes water and dark places. Avoid these areas at all costs.
Use the stop command sparingly every time you use it the distance she goes back will be less and less.
You must end the game before midnight. If you dont she will enter your dreams and kill you there and if you survive that she will never go away no matter what you do.
If she thinks you are going to use the ending command she will try to hide. Make sure you see her when you use the command
Second Attempts:
Do not under any circumstances do it again. She will start off wherever she left off the last game. And things wont work right.
