#554.5 - Darumaka possess an internal fire that burns intensely, energizing them so much that they cannot calm down, and run around until the fire diminishes. When Darumaka sleep, they pull their limbs into their body and their internal flame goes down to 1,100 degrees. As they age, Darumaka gain the ability to transform into a stone-like statue once weakened in battle. This form allows them to meditate and sharpen their mind to fight on mentally. Darumaka's growing increase in physical strength, combined with their abundance of energy, makes them a challenge to raise to maturity.
#554.5G - After a seismic event in the distant past cooled the once-warm Galar region, Darumaka in the area adapted to the harsh, frigid climate. Unlike their fiery Unovan relatives, their flame sac became dormant, and they developed an organ that produces cold air. These gentle and timid Pokémon sport a thick coat and become more energetic as temperatures drop; they will often use their icy breath to create snowballs for playful battles. As Galarian Darumaka grow, they store snow on their heads, which they can freeze to deliver powerful headbutt attacks. Constant exposure to Galar’s wintry elements are necessary for Darumaka’s continued growth and development. Trainers who wish to evolve their Galarian Darumaka must frequently expose it to an Ice Stone (and consent to some snowball fights).
