@7andaswitch-blade I said nothing about med students. In a way, they’re almost at as much a disadvantage as their patients, being given outdated and/or frankly wrong information. I’m not putting that on newbie doctors trying to absorb all this while attempting one of the most exhausting jobs on the planet. That goes to the people who wrote the books, who wrote the policies and so on.
The people who wrote books with scientifically sound information? They’re not trying to write a narrative here, not trying to make you feel bad for people and their plight, they’re teach you how to save lives and if part of that is using physical or even statistical data to quickly diagnose a patient, what the fuck is the problem? What would you do if a doctor was about to perform a life saving surgery on a black man, but right before he started he used the N word? Would you tell him to stop saving that persons life because your victimhood is more important than a LIFE?! I’m curious if the original poster has any problems with them saying this stuff about asians, hispanics, even whites, or only when it’s something they can make about themselves. Asians are most likely to have Coronavirus than anyone else. *Crickets* Africans are most likely to have Sickle Cell Anemia. *Deafening roar of outrage* White people are most likely to be serial killers. *Cheers and Gloating* Some things just are what they are, and the sooner this generation of babies who can’t believe they’re not special grows the fuck up the better.
