Oh Dasa…. 💔💔💔
Dasa Grm looks so smooth and stable. Those 3F and 3T3T were fire 🔥🔥🔥 pity about the 2A 🙈 such a great interpretation, a pleasure to watch
“Anyone who thinks the ISU isn’t actively trying to target small fed skaters and push them out of big competitions despite all their talk about ‘expanding the sport’ needs to remember the congress livestream where they were perfectly happy to say in front of a live audience of thousands of fans that Aiza Mambekova competing at the Olympics was embarrassing to them. She had every right to be there! Kazakhstan had two places, and she had the tech minimums and met all their requirements. She skated her heart out and showed more musicality than Medvedeva and Zagitova combined and she was so proud to represent her country. But she and her low score were an embarrassment to them, so they immediately changed the rules to make sure no skater like her will get a chance like that again, which is a huge betrayal of the foundational principles of the Olympic Games. And raising the tech minimums with no notice. Just two months before the Worlds where they’re going to debut their glitzy, rigged awards show, specifically to cut skaters like Dasa Grm who get lower scores but win hearts with their skating out of the event, is just more of the same thing. I suggest a boycott of the Ladies event and awards show in protest at their treatment of small fed skaters. Basically: #noDasanoaudience. Who’s with me?“
“I’m so glad Dasa Grm is finally getting the appreciation she deserves!”
The ISU has released a communication on January 6th raising the technical minimum scores for the Ladies for Worlds.
Skaters who were eligible, but are not anymore (as far as I can see)
Julia Sauter of Romania
Valentina Matos of Spain
Nelli Iofee of Israel
Dasa Grm of Slovenia (Free Skate Only)
Aurora Cotop of Canada (Short Program)
Seasons best for Dasa Grm! Congrats!
