I've started calling the anxious yelling angry mean voice in the back of my head "piss gremlin" (a joke from my roommates, long story) because it's a lot easier to say "shut up piss gremlin no one cares" when I need to calm myself down But long story short my therapist and I were discussing coping mechanisms and grounding today and I got to say the phrase "piss gremlin" in front of my 60+ year old lesbian therapist and she laughed really hard

hey yall i am not sober and i have Some Feelings About Heathers The Movie As Compared To Heathers The Musical
basically, the musical is better. there are funny parts of the movie but it has not aged well (like for example JD is introduced as a guy who brings a gun to school and shoots other students with blanks and that is? okay?? apparently??? like thank god they toned that down for the musical because at least he had a chance to seem like an ok if troubled dude before he started purposefully murdering an entire student body)
but also the musical’s songs are so good. they are so good you guys. i listen to that musical basically every other day.
before i started grad school i figured i’d have trouble moving to a new place because i wouldn’t know where to look for a job in my field
now i actually know how to find county and city health assessments so i can basically pick a county, pick through the data they’ve shared publicly, and identify what their big needs are, which gives me a starting point for where to look for jobs (big needs and big areas of funding = places that are probably hiring)

Today to celebrate the 20th Buffy the Vampire Slayer anniversary I decided I wanted to stream Chaos Bleeds (a PS2 Buffy game) and to prepare for it I introduced my roommate to the first couple episodes of the show Now we've almost finished season 1 and are having an all night sleepover setup in the living room to finish it off
