How I feel about this character

I love her. I came to Supergirl for Supergirl, but I stayed for Alex. She’s just awesome and as the elder (and not straight) sibling myself, I saw more of myself in her than I did in Kara (regardless of super powers, though I do love Kara too.) I think canon and the writing hasn’t been the greatest to her but Chyler still gives it her all and I respect her even more for that.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Well, I wouldn’t be doing my url justice if I didn’t mention Sam first. I understand why it didn’t happen but I was on board from their first meeting at the pier. She left Maggie because she realized that she wanted to have kids like four episodes after her first flirty meeting with the one, the only, Sam the gorgeous legs-for-days milf Arias, like...come on. Then in the next episode she’s wearing suits and you see just how big her hands are...game over man.

I love Dansen too. Wish they’d do more with them but Kelly being horny on main for Vigilante Alex during the finale was absolutely delightful. Agentcorp is a solid third. I liked her with Sara Lance too. Not as an OTP but I think their arc & chemistry was the best part of that crossover. Her & Lucy is fun in the they definitely were friends with benefits kind of way. I was a neutral third party to the idea of her & Astra at the time but I get it now.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Should go without saying but some nasty incest-shippers are still out there in 2020, so I’d say her ultimate NON-romantic OTP is Kara! Danvers SISTERS! They should come with a warning. Then there’s Space Dad! and Brainy! Also she was a great pseudo-adopted mom to Ruby and I miss that. She and Lena have good banter and would make for good science bros if the writers let them be more often.

Unpopular opinion about this character

I liked Sanvers more for what it meant for Alex (her coming out, first kiss/valentine’s/break up) than who she had those experiences with. Maggie and Sanvers just didn’t connect for me beyond that.

Alex also suffers from what I call “non-Luthor hypocrisy” where everyone who isn’t Lena often gets their shady actions overlooked or propped up because the show ignores or doesn’t care to question the morality of our non-Lena heroes (like Alex being a member of and later running the repeatedly space Geneva-convention-violating DEO.) Its not her fault nor is it exclusive to her but it does get on my nerves.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon

Danvarias/Agentreign...if only just a one time recognition of their feelings (and a steamy farewell) because I do love Dansen. Alex leaving the DEO sooner would’ve been nice too. I guess right now I’d like a suit upgrade, preferably one based on @daskey’s incredible artwork!

your art feels real organic, which is why i love it. the sketch lines all work together to tell a story, your facial expressions pop because of them too! like a lot of digital art can end up looking real clean but by keeping those lines you really make it feel so alive. idk buddy don’t ask me to go in depth with this, i’m not a very analytical person, i just really like your art style, it’s different and refreshing
