On the left a pretty scarf, nice colors, maybe a flower mosaic. But the right reveals the truth: Marvel superheroes. I got it as a birthday present from my sister and nephew in December and it gives me the same feel as a dress with pockets.

"Oh, I like your scarf!" "Thanks! It has superheroes!"

Anyway, Happy BFSN everybody! Thank you @thehundredtimesobsessed for the tag! It's been a bit since I last did one of these.

In other news, grad school and thesis is as stressful as always. BUT it's 50° F today! So of course I'm sitting outside to work on things today; this winter has been too long. (Pictures from a couple weeks ago because as nice as it feels, the backyard looks a little depressing, still all brown and dormant.) I'm glad I'm not near my grandma's house, because she still has almost three feet of snow. We just have the melting piles along the side of the road.

Ephiphany

This week my brother found out that he had ADHD type 1, which is without the physical hyperactivity. This means that he has ADD: he is very busy in his mind and has a very low attention span. When he described how his brain was wired, described his thought processes, I replied with “but that’s completely normal.” And I was sceptic. >:(

PLOT TWIST. I have ADD too. xD;;;

I looked up the traits of a female ADD mind, and it explains so much about my life choices and attitude and guilt. I used to feel so guilty about not being able to ‘adult’, and now I know why. I got a gigantic dose of self-acceptance. My brain is just wired differently!

BONUS: The character Sherlock from the BBC series shows a more intense version of ADD. He counts everything as BORING and behaves like a rebel. Only when he gets a fun case, he gets into a super happy super active hyperfocus state of mind. That’s me. And a lot of traits/attitude is in my Sephiroth muse, too (whom I slightly based on Sherlock.) The BBC series dramatises a lot. But it’s worth a mention.
