I made up a new Hypothetical Guy to help me ignore unneeded criticism (since I tend to take all criticism as gospel). His name is Tree Guy and no matter what I do, he will be unsatisfied that my game does not have perfectly rendered 6k trees with every pixel in place and countable leaves. Regardless of how the game plays or functions as a piece of art. There are many Tree Guys in Pokemon fandom and their opinions are shit. If I can brush them off for a triple-A game I didn't even make, I can brush them off for my stuff.

Changing my Data-Zunru project from a game to a written project was good in some ways but dumb in others. For example, I'm reconsidering how gender, sexuality, and sex works within this universe. That includes inter-breeding with three different species of creature. And also leads to insane fucking sentences like "A male Wogliquil and a female Wogliquil will result in a Woggle child." I need this information. I need to know...what the Wogliquil will create...their child.

(Yes this is related to human gender/sexuality or just queerness in general- it's all on the same note-page so I don't explode.)

Anyway, here's Woggle and Wogliquil. I think I posted them before but here they are again. Yes- Wogliquil is a Tentaquil reference.

So Data-Zunru is no longer a game because I can't fucking code. However, it's still alive as...I don't want to call it a light novel. But words and pictures. It's fun to play with this as an art form. Here's a few images from early in the story. Mild spoilers ahead!

Was thinking about River and Shiro, some of my OCs. River is a tsundere kind of character who wants to be left alone but has a heart of gold. His partner creature is a loyal dog who defends him to her last breath. Shiro will talk with anyone he needs to so he can schmooze his way through a scheme. His partner creature is a cat who calls him out of his bullshit. Both of them are dumb and gay.

I need to get them in the same room and study them like bugs. Preferably with their critters around.

(And before some clown at the back of the class says anything- I like ponytails on guys.)
