Improve Your Online Dating Profile Pictures
When it comes to Online Dating a lot of people think of it as a joke and something that doesn’t really matter because its “Online Dating.” Well guess what, the people who have those thoughts are the ones who end up complaining and bitching that they’re not getting any type of results so they have nothing but negative things to say about it.
A better way to think about it is to joke around and have fun, having THAT mindset will help you out a lot more than not giving a shit. If you’re going to put your time and effort into something make it worth your while, don’t just half ass it so you can bitch and nag about it later, KNOW WHAT I’M SAYIN’???
Okay, pictures. When it comes to choosing your pictures there’s a few things that come into play…
1.) Have recent photos of yourself
2.) Having QUALITY photos
3.) Have more than 3 pictures of yourself
4.) Have pictures of you OUTSIDE of your house
Having recent photos of yourself is important because your style could have changed, you could have gone balled or you could have gained or lost some weight. If you look nothing like your pictures except for the fact that people can tell it’s you, it’s considered lying. I know, I know…girls will take their best angled shots and make themselves look like they’re 120 pounds when in fact they’re 190, lol, but don’t do it.
It doesn’t look good if it’s 2012 and your picture says 2005 in the corner even if you look the same, people are going to think, “Does he not go out or have a social life?” If you don’t have recent photos of yourself take your camera with you for the next month everywhere you go and if you don’t have a camera BARROW ONE. You want recent photos of yourself!
The reason that quality photos are important is so that girls can actually see you in the picture. Having fuzzy or too digital looking of a picture won’t help them see you and it will make them skip looking at the rest of your profile. A lot of the online dating sites turn your picture into a thumbnail and when girls are browsing and hunting for guys, a fuzzy picture will look even more blurry when smaller.
If you’re into going out bar hopping or clubbing or only go when friends invite you, there are photographers that take pictures for the venue and promoters, don’t think twice about not stopping them and having them take a picture of you and your friends doing fun and silly poses. THAT’S WHAT THEYRE PAID TO DO, take photos of the crowd having fun. Usually they’ll hand you a card with the website you can find your photos at and the quality of their pictures are great since they’re using top of the line cameras.
Not all, but a lot of guys will barely put any photos of themselves up and it doesn’t help you one bit. You got to think that Online Dating is like window shopping, the more pictures you have to look at and if they’re all cool and of quality the better your chances are of her hitting you up or writing you back.
If you walked up to a store and saw some crappy display with some alright looking clothes hanging on a beat up manikin you wouldn’t think to yourself, “Man I’m so going into this store to grab some gear.” No, you’d think to yourself, “NEXT!” So keep that in mind when you’re uploading photos of yourself. Your pictures are the hooking point on getting her to read your profile and messaging you back.
You may be asking yourself why do I need pictures of me outside of my house? Let me explain. You want to show women that you have an interesting and fun life and if all your pictures are taken from your webcam at your desk inside your room, she might think, “Does he only play video games?” or “Does he even have a job?” Everything about online dating is getting them hooked enough to get a date and you having pictures of you bar hopping, miniature golfing drunk, fishing on your boat, whatever it is, is what’s going to help you out.
Women don’t want to date guys with boring lives, that’s probably the reason she left her ex-boyfriend in the first place. He didn’t like going out or didn’t have enough friends etc. etc…So remember, have 5-7 pictures of you outside your house having fun and doing things with friends will look a lot better than having you just sitting around your house taking pictures of yourself in the mirror like this is MySpace 2004.
