I know it's crazy, but these manga give off the same vibe.
This might only make sense if you've read the manga for Delicious in Dungeon

Major spoilers for MadK
---
I know this isn't a new point, but I still want to bring it up. I find it extremely concerning that people unironically wanted J and Makoto to end up together. I don't believe that liking toxic things makes you a bad person, or supporting those things.
You could argue MadK is a cautionary tale, a review I really love referred to it as a Greek tragedy, it is not a love story in the slightest. I love J and Makoto's relationship, it's fascinating to read and watch their dynamic and mind games to play out. But they're both clearly victims, traumatized victims continuing the cycle of trauma. Gaslighting, manipulation, etc. Them knowing this is happening doesn't make it any less toxic or unhealthy.
This isn't to say I don't enjoy and find entertainment in toxic relationships in fiction, I absolutely do!! But I find a problem with people who seem to ignore the genuine toxicity within these types of relationships.
Everyone in this manga is a victim, and that is far from glorified in the slightest. Of course there are things it poorly handled, I'm not arguing against that. Overall, in my opinion, they don't show toxicity as being beautiful, it's quite upfront about it!
Again, I have no issue with people enjoying toxic relationships in fiction, I have a problem with people ignoring it and then glorifying it, even sexualizing it. It being fiction makes it no less harmful.
In my opinion!
(Might muse about Datenshou and J's relationship one day, there's so much to think about there <3)
datenshou, my beloved
