I played Date or Die at PAX East, and it was my favorite game of the con. I'm a slut for dating sims, and this one just blew me away. It's gay, and the art is pretty, and the datable characters are cute as heck. There's a robot that I'm sure we'll be able to date eventually. The gameshow host is a pretty sociopath, just my type. It's got a Zero Escape/Dangan Ronpa vibe. Essentially, six people are kidnapped and locked in cells with no memory of who they are or how they got there. They're forced to answer questions about dating preference as well as preferred methods of murder. They're then given a person they are most and least comparable with. When they emerge, they realize they're on the set of a dating quiz show. Each contestant wears a pink ring, containing a deadly neurotoxin that will activate if the rules of the game are violated. The contestants are told they'll have to complete challenges in order to complete the game. The game explains that the situation is a study to show that people will fall in love if they want it bad enough. In other words, find a date or die trying. All in all, it's a fantastic concept, and I can't wait to see how it's carried out!

A very interesting demo brought to us by queer creators, featured at Pax East 2017. Apparently, the cast is all queer; I'm really excited for the full game!
